People don’t get that when you teach your kids young, you’re not training them for a dangerous skill. You’re training them to be safe in an environment where they might otherwise be unskilled and unsafe. Teaching them the scary and powerful nature of them. So that way they aren’t like some abstract thought. They are real and they are dangerous and they are tools. Not to be played with when Dad‘s not around.

Hi there, ya still a costco employee? I'm currently a seasonal Amazonian doing night-shift who started in shipping department for 3+ months and now starting in a different department called pick. Besides that, since the past year, I've had 7 interviews at 7 different locations out of like 13 locations and I still haven't gotten success in getting hired. I'm still fighting for a spot right now since holiday season's coming which is why I'm with Amazon right now to get more experience. In my opinion, Costco still rocks in employee treatment, customer service, and customer quality; unlike Amazon, we're just there to help management and corporate to break records which break us without meaningful customer contact. This would seem like a rant here, but now that I'm gonna be an order picker at Amazon, just wondering; how did you pass your interviews? Does Costco have more faith and confidence in candidates with warehouse experience? Also, because I'm gonna drive PITs as part of my new work, would experience in PITs give more appeal to the hiring managers? Apologies for such a long comment, it's just I dread Amazon so much that I didn't want to work for them in the first place, and that's because of their way of work culture and other principles that I don't find consistent with them.
