Best start is on the end of thet starting intro in game, before placing 3 scanner. In same jard are 2 safe (stash) find them but don't pick up anything....divide and put all your gear inside stash. Go do main mission and after you get robbed go pick up your stuff 😅😅 2 vipers 4 aku on 100% durability on starting game.
I really appreciate this so here are a few things for you (these are things I discovered while playing): Yes, I got hit with some bugs & had to start over a few times so learned a few things about the start of the game. 1) You can keep all the 'intro' stuff (High-Quality guns, meds, etc.) which are lost when you are ambushed. * Before setting up the last scanner, simply step over to the dead guy in the back stall and drop everything you want to keep. It will be there after you are ambushed and return. 2) There are 2 safe stashes at that building area - go outside the door facing where the scanner was, turn left, turn left again around the corner, then climb through the window to get to the safe in the locked room with the junk blocking the door - there's some other stuff on shelves in there too. Next, near the anomaly blocking the path, right side while facing it, there is a garage - go inside, go to the back left corner room, there is another safe stash spot. 3) If you don't 'exhaust his dialog' you can still visit the quest giver and he will have you go rescue his friend without bringing him the med kits. (I didn't know he could give you the med kit quest. Thanks 😁) 4) The anomalies are RARELY fixed types but from a pool/set of them. The 'ball' bubble one is a set type. So the anomaly in the cave, after the rescue, can be one of a few different low-level types.
@@MrStoffzor - Apparently they patched this so that the two best guns disappear. I was able to keep everything else, except the scanner, as it would not let me put it in the safe.😐
@@canadianjoker5033 You don't even have to put it in the "safe". I stashed everything behind a water tank and retrieved it later. Playing on Xbox Series X I was able to keep every gun I stashed, including the AK-74 and the HK 416 (though I haven't used the 416 much due to a lack of ammo).
@@MrStoffzor If you aren't too far into the game (still in the Lesser Zone) it's worth it to start over and stash all your stuff. It makes the early game much more enjoyable, and you can actually afford to fix some of the good weapons you find early like the "Dragunov" SVD. I started over just because I felt like I was getting nowhere and took a chance stashing my stuff not being sure it would work, but it did👌(doesn't have to be in the "safe" I just stashed it behind a water tank near the first tower).
Before you put down the scanner for the 3rd time, climb in the window where the safe is and stash all your gear. You lose the poly ak and hk16 but keep the ak74u's. That's the best start. Seen its already been mentioned
You can avoid losing the guns other than the m4 by dropping them on the ground in front of the safe. Only lost the m4 and kept the Ak 47 AND 74’s lol plus all my gear

You don't actually have to stash it in the safe (on Xbox series X, anyway). I just stashed everything on the ground behind the nearby water tank. When I came back to retrieve it, all of it was there including the AK-74 and 416. I hear you lose the AK-74 and 416 playing on computer, though.

You can put all your gear in the safe/stash in the building at the final scan point before scanning so you can keep ar416 and anything else you picked up on the way. Just make sure you do it before interacting with the final/3rd scan point.
@@matthewrezuke8130 you can still but it seems its dodgy with the guns. For me all my items and ammo saved, but only the 2 perfect condition ak74u’s and a mp5 saved, and i lost the akm, m4 and two saw offs.
just an FYI if you loot all of the prologue for gear, once you get to the cabin at the end (where this guide starts) you can drop everything not story related and then activate the scanner. doing so allows you to go and recollect all the dropped items after you follow Richter back up there. sidenote I did this in the locked room with the big safe, just note some stuff might fall through the floor in there is too much
Also, some old saying from classic stalker, "stashs are one of the best tools of a stalker", sadly I dont think we will get some gadget to make our own stashs (aside from mods), but on start, you can hal everything you get in your way to one of the stashs by the last scanner zone, and dump things there, get later, profit.
@12:50 When you're done rescuing him and getting the credits, Valik has loot, not sure if its randomized, but he had a 7k artifact on him that i got for the low price of a single 9mm bullet to the back of his head. 😅

3:50 I found this weapon organically while playing and I got jumped by a Bloodsucker and 3 Boar while walking away. When you started to run, I got so much anxiety like "RUN!! KEEP RUNNING!" However, your luck seems to be better than mine was. lol

just before u place the 3rd sensor thing in the prologue, go into the house nearby and find the gun safe. u can store ur stuff inside the gun safe, so when u get bonked u wont lose all ur stuff from the prologue. u can go back to the safe and pick up the items from the safe after prologue cut scene
For a survival game I was kind of expecting a magazine count mechanic. Not a big deal I’m sure there’ll be a mod for it but I was a little surprised. Excited to experience all of this after it finishes downloading
This was the first thing I noticed. No magazines, more like old resident evil, finding boxes of ammo not mags. Hope they do add individual mags and having to load and unload them

The devs were never gonna take hints from the Modded Stalkers. Just cross your fingers that mod support will be good enough for people to mod things like that in later.
You can get an svd super early on. Its in the compund east of the northern checkpoint in the lesser zone. Theres a ton of traps youll need to disarm and then a guy you gotta kill, the svd is on his body.
And for those who want an even better start, pro tip. All of the items from the prologue can be brought over. All except the scanner and artifact All you have to do is at the last scanner point, whip around the building there is an open window with a safe. Stash all your loot, and when you awaken and go back, nab it and there you go.
I actually stashed all the weapons I got in the prolonge in the safe through the window right before the cutseen with the soilders prior to meeting Richter and went back to the safe and everything was there.
In the prologue you can drop all your guns you get along the way before you charge the thing on the third try. There’s a house in the area where there’s a blue safe you can enter that room and drop all your loot one by one make it in a pile continue as intended once you get saved go back to that spot and your stuff will be there. I did it today in my replay to follow ESO guide and I got all my stuff back idk what people saying it’s patched
You can put all of your inventory in the safe before the final sensor is placed and you get knocked out. After the cutscene you can go back and get it. You can keep the M4
Richter never gave me the side quest. And I tried several times. But once I left there I happen to just wander by the post office and help that dude out and found his friend gloomy or whatever his name is so it kinda worked out
did most of this in my first hours as well. However, i would argue that the 3 bullet burst are better than single bullets with the viper. Most of the time, you can get 3 headshots in one shoot killing most humans in 1 burst. Just make sure to aim well and the 3 burst is amazing. All other weapons that only have auto and single i would agree with you that single bullets are better in 90% of the time.
@ESOdanny The sewers (8:00 min) have a stash backpack in the corner, very near to the body you looted! You'll have to deal with the rats again, and there is an achievement you can complete if you lure the rats out before you escape (I'll let you/readers figure out the achievement).
Found all this and more in 4 hours of game time 😂 I play too many video games I thought fosho you was gonna show me how to get some free armor like armor armor but I’m sure it helped out most people 😢

In the room that triggers the rats, in one of the corners of the room there is a stash that has most of the loot in it. Also, the rats will respawn again if you try to climb the ladder, kill them with a grenade and then go back down. But that will buy you time to get any loot you missed.
A small spoiler to keep most of your starting gear... don't read further if you don't want to know... Here it comes: Before you activate your 3rd emission during your first mission, stash all your stuff in the safe near the 3rd emission. Than let the game play out where you lose all your gear. Go to the safe and you can recover most of your gear in it except the AR and another (I don't remember which).
SPOILER ALERT!!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!! I was able to stash all my gear and weapons keeping a Boomstick and my pistol. I was allowed to keep the pistol and every weapon I had stashed was there waiting in pristine condition - which was a great help beginning the game. Valuable weapons near 100% condition to trade or sell, too.
Was randomly given a 308 win. When walking by a bunch of busses (Just appeared and replaced my secondary weapon) I guess a MW2 or 3 reference, now it’s a ghost town
You can kill the rats with bullets. If you sit on the drain next to the body the rats can't touch you and you can shoot them. I did it. Maybe it was a glitch but it worked for me lol.
You can sell low weapons at a specific person. Ragman in rostok buys low durability weapons, the only time he doesn't buy them is when the durability is at 0.
Ultra Chad pro gamer tip for you guys: when assaulting the boiler room, go around the left side and up the ladder to the roof. This makes taking them out much easier. There's two guys inside with yellow coats and 3 or 4 outside you can pop easily. It's a pain at night though because you can't see anything.
hah the cool thing is that they included an actual real energy drink which just happens to be my favorite and the limited addition flavors are really cool
I started playing and as soon as Richter gave me the med kits I walked outside, threw a few bolts, and checked my backpack. There where 4 308. Sniper rifles in there 😂 super weird bug

For everyone still saying this, they patched the whole "intro stuff in box" trick. All weapons I put in there disappeared but ammo/ food and meds remained.
One major annoyance I found is that after I rebound my keys, I still had to use the default keys to climb on ladders. You would think rebinding movement keys would also work for ladders. Nope, not this game. Not really enjoying Stalker 2 thus far. Hope it picks up.😐

You're gonna be slightly disappointed then. Its more like Far Cry but certain enemies take 6 headshots with a shotgun and they're invisible and like to roam in packs. food/drink and medical supplies are my go to selling resource now because im sat on a stack of 20+ of everything in stash and 5 of everything before i head out, all the excess is converted into hard cash
You are wrong about mutants and people wondering the zone. They only spawn in a short radius around you at specific moments. So the zone isn't really alive because there is nothing and no one outside of that radius

Did this and got to keep the full durability M4 and AKM as well as 2 full AK74u plus my ammo and scientific med kits

This did not work for me. All except my guns (I stored 3) were there. Weird. TBH it was not hard to get other good guns (especially using the guide)

If you throw all your loot in the safe in the building before planting the 3rd sensor location you can go back and retrieve it all after the prologue
Repair a pistol to max for 600, sells for 240. Yeah not the strat man.

The mid tier guns dont save, although havent tested them at below 95% durability so idk

The rat swarm can be easily killed by grenade from top of them, they once followed me like 500m to army base :D
I got a question. When you were shooting the dogs at the end was your viper 5 suppressed?

Here it comes: Before you activate your 3rd emission during your first mission, stash all your stuff in the safe near the 3rd emission. Than let the game play out where you lose all your gear. Go to the safe and you can recover most of your gear in it except the AR and another (I don't remember which).
SPOILER ALERT!!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!! I was able to stash all my gear and weapons keeping a Boomstick and my pistol. I was allowed to keep the pistol and every weapon I had stashed was there waiting in pristine condition - which was a great help beginning the game. Valuable weapons near 100% condition to trade or sell, too.

You can kill the rats with bullets. If you sit on the drain next to the body the rats can't touch you and you can shoot them. I did it. Maybe it was a glitch but it worked for me lol.
You can sell low weapons at a specific person. Ragman in rostok buys low durability weapons, the only time he doesn't buy them is when the durability is at 0.
Ultra Chad pro gamer tip for you guys: when assaulting the boiler room, go around the left side and up the ladder to the roof. This makes taking them out much easier. There's two guys inside with yellow coats and 3 or 4 outside you can pop easily. It's a pain at night though because you can't see anything.

I started playing and as soon as Richter gave me the med kits I walked outside, threw a few bolts, and checked my backpack. There where 4 308. Sniper rifles in there 😂 super weird bug

ESO....while the rat swarms are a pain....bullets will kill them....i took out that particular swarm with the sawedoff
For everyone still saying this, they patched the whole "intro stuff in box" trick. All weapons I put in there disappeared but ammo/ food and meds remained.

One major annoyance I found is that after I rebound my keys, I still had to use the default keys to climb on ladders. You would think rebinding movement keys would also work for ladders. Nope, not this game. Not really enjoying Stalker 2 thus far. Hope it picks up.😐

I had to stop myself from watching this, Its been at 96% downloaded for a hour and I cant wait to play, Ill watch this tm! Hoping for Fallout/Skyrim legendary survival but harder and something different. After over 3000 hours of Fallout 4 I need something new.
You're gonna be slightly disappointed then. Its more like Far Cry but certain enemies take 6 headshots with a shotgun and they're invisible and like to roam in packs. food/drink and medical supplies are my go to selling resource now because im sat on a stack of 20+ of everything in stash and 5 of everything before i head out, all the excess is converted into hard cash

You are wrong about mutants and people wondering the zone. They only spawn in a short radius around you at specific moments. So the zone isn't really alive because there is nothing and no one outside of that radius
