It's the bike that brought me back to riding after 30 years away (GSX110E, GPZ900A2). It spoke to me as soon as it was launched, and just 2 weeks ago it became a reality. I'm still pinching myself!
Had my RS for just over 2 years now and still have the same smile and grin when I ride ride it. Simon you made a great choice. Enjoy and stay safe, Old Bloke
@@troll2637 I have one it's a real head turner and fun to ride. I have so many people, many who don't ride or know anything about bikes, tell me how beautiful it is.
55 year old Ducati Monster 796 owner for about 7 years now. Lot's of fun. No regrets except for scheduled maintenance costs every 7500 miles. I am buying this Z900RS...in this color.
In 70's I thought that Z900 is the most beautiful bike in the world. I liked Honda CB750 as well but Z900 had (and still has) that streamlined design notch or two nicer. If Z900RS have 4 exhausts as original model had I would also take it. I am 64 and would like to buy it, but it is out of reach financially. Maybe ... one can always hope
Had a 2019 Z900RS... sold it, still regret is... so much that I'm selling my current (3 months old) motorcycle (Harley Low Rider S) and going to buy this one again.
What was the reason you sold the bike in first place? I have my eyes on this bike but haven't pull the trigger. I need to know how the bike is besides the look. Thanks
Had a modified Z1 back in the day. It was stupid fast but the tires were awful, braking was theoretical, the handling was down right scary. Haven't had a bike since, this makes me want to ride again. Just have to figure out what I'm going to tell the grand kids when they see me on the back wheel.
In the good old days of the 70s I had the gt750 2 stroke and my mate had the z900 always wanted one such a beautiful looking bike in them days and they've recaptured that look again
I am 36 years old and I am a proud owner of a 2022 model in Metallic Dark Green. I switched from a supersport bike, Ninja zx636a. The Z900RS is just perfect for me. It is just as sporty but can also be ridden very comfortably. I tried out many bikes before making the purchase, such as the T120, Thruxton R, MT9, MT10, RnineT, and Harley, but none of them excited me as much as the Z900RS, both visually and technically.
I’m keeping my exhaust standard because I like the way it is, not too quiet and not too noisy, and it looks good as well. Ivan’s flash coming up soon though.
@@KB-yj5xp I was talking to a local dyno shop here in Melbourne yesterday. We are going to put the bike on the rollers and use a Woolwich flash for the ECU. It’ll be around $800, but it will be better than a generic flash, plus I don’t run the risk of sending the ECU to USA and maybe losing it in the mail. Still keeping the original exhaust because I like it, but it will get rid of the fuelling issues (snatchy throttle).
@@pontypete7357 Hi Pete, I have only had it since March so not been out on it that much it still needs running in, but without giving it full throttle it just takes off very quickly, and sound's awesome from the exhaust note and airbox noise, get yourself a test ride although I purchased mine on looks alone 😀

Just because its available, doesn't mean you need to use it. Besides if you're riding in ranges where it has that HP you're probably breaking the law anyway.

Hello. I like the bike but what I miss in modern bikes is the exhaust sound, very quiet in most of them, and for my it is a very important part of riding pleasure. I shall continue with my black 2005 Suzuki Bandit 650 with a carbon Leo Vince exhaust that always puts a big smile on my face when I finish a ride weekend day ......of course the original exhaust is very quiet too but here in Spain is very difficult to customize a bike because of laws, but the one I changed the original is "still" allowed. Nice review of that bike.......cheers!.
I been driving bikes for over 50 years and I can say the z900 rs is one of the best all around bikes. Harleys pick up chicks but have poor traction in the rain. I'm seriously considering trading in my '08 1600 Nomad in for one of these. I used to have a '73 Z1 900 and a '79 KZ1000. I really miss the excitement of those days, and if I can recapture that joy, then I might be sold!
My friend... the Z900RS is the first bike I think about when I think retro bikes.... I don' have any good reason to have one, but I will have one sooner or later 😉
They’re quite softly sprung so you could be too far into its travel. The bike is definitely worth investing in though either setup or upgrades. Don’t pay 11k for one though!
Want one. Badly. I'm going to go with the café version though. Hopefully the 2024's have some excellent color options, although, black with gold accent would be nice.
Does anyone think this would deliver a better riding experience than an 04 CBR600F4i with a full suspension tune? I love the way this bike looks, and the past owner of 70/80s KZ/GPZ Kawasaki's I think they nailed this machine. Just not sure if it's worth 4x the dough!
