@@natetruehart7562 It's more likely to be a case of the Placebo Effect. If you get the alignments, you clearly believe they'll work, which is all it takes to trigger the placebo effect.
Hubology is definitely a crack at the real life religion Scientology. I like how Hubology is actually more reasonable and logical than Scientology since there are actual aliens in the Fallout universe. Also it doesn't have an evil Lord Xenu who murdered millions of aliens by throwing their frozen bodies into volcanoes on Earth and then trapping their souls on earth by confusing them.
The Zeta rays from Jack Cabot's gun comes from the crown that gave Lorenzo mental powers just like Hubology says you receive. Lorenzo becomes extremely intelligent, mentally powerful, and immortal because of the alien relic he is wearing. As in God like abilities. Without the actual artifact, I think the Zeta rays from Hubology are intended to give you similar powers, because since they have an actual alien blaster, I would bet the Zeta rays are genuine and the same that the alien crown gives off. Seeing as Cabot was able to reproduce them, so then can the Hubologists. Bethesda probably never put them in the game as powers or perks because Lorenzo Cabot took years to develop his first powers directly from the crown, and the player in Fallout progressed through Hubology in like a week.
Actually, if you look at your SPECIAL after an alignment, your Intelligence goes up pretty significantly with each alignment. However, it's only temporary, so you want to use it for boosting your level.
Just reminding you all the like and comment...... because apparently their may have been a change and myself and several other UA-camrs think it was to likes and comments. So if everyone does, and the videos do better..... well then I guess thats proof. Thanks ;)
The blaster ammo might be worthwhile, although I've a mod to craft the stuff. The dead hubologists corpses keep respawning their equipment and ammo, and the man meat makes the ship a decent place to retreat and heal as the enemies respawn too.

The Hubologists are a great example of how religion can make people as dumb as bricks. Faith is good, but _blind_ faith almost always leads to things falling apart. You have to think for yourself, just following orders will get you to end up like this.
During his Far Harbour play through he puts Nick into the Vim! power armour in the Vim! factory. However, all the pieces have been shot off (including the helmet) so Nick is basically in a power armour frame with no helmet or repaired armour pieces which is why he looks so weird.
The so-called spaceship is based on a real life amusement park ride called the Gravitron. It's usually seen at state fairs. I rode on it several times as a kid. Never saw any aliens. XD But out of the 4 times I have had to do this so far (buggy DLC), she only died on the trip once, she is the weakest one of them, might even be level one. I got the sentry before some of the bots the first time, and many others died too when they tried to follow me in that time. ...Not my fault, I told them to wait for me. ;)
that is a nice set of stats for the alien blaster. with the mod to modify the alien blaster (I think it is called "Alien Blaster Assault Rifle") it would allow making it a really nice weapon
The Zeta rays are the same used by Cabot when he becomes a psychic, you get a gun that shoots them if you side with his family and kill him. The zeta wave psychic powers came from his crown that was dug up in an ancient and forgotten tomb rumoured to have existed four thousands years before known human history - possibly, these zeta rays are real in the Fallout lore, especially since aliens are known to exist in this universe and are called Zetans. That Hub had one of their guns seems to confirm that the Star Father is either based upon a Zetan encounter that was dressed up, or the Zetans are actually from the Star Father and revealed their knowledge to him. Afterall, the Zetans have been watching Earth for 700 years, but never invaded, with their only appearances on Earth seeming to be crashed ships. Perhaps the Abominations of Mothership Zeta are actually attempts to genetically uplift humans to Zeta wavelengths. We never get a clear idea of what the Zetans really want, as they only communicate in an alien language and quickly end up trying to kill the escapers. Apparently you get an intelligence buff for this final alignment as well - and if everyone is quite stupid there is a chance that the Zeta waves are in there, but they were too stupid to isolate the radiation, thus giving the guy in the chair gamma rads or something else that shouldnt be in there but hasnt been engineered out, perhaps also intentionally to limit high ranking members becoming too many (it's still a cult after all). And there are many psykers in the Fallout universe. Maybe the Hubologists stumbled upon a great truth - however, they are known to dislike intelligent people (Fallout 2) and maybe this limited their success.
Man I remember the Hubologists in Fallout 2. I accidentally had to commit genocide on them. I was talking to not Tom Cruise and not Nicole Kidman and I pissed them off so they sicked the entire group on me and locked me in. Marcus, Goris, Vic, and K-9 didn't take very kindly to that.

Funny thing is this is pretty much straight scientology, only names were changed and in scientology you raise your OT(Operating Thetan) level by buying overpriced books, donating money and going to (again, overpriced) seminars. Also 94 scientologists disliked this video.
Having watched Louise Theroux's documentary that just released about Scientology, It's wonderful how Bethesda gave them a solid ribbing in FO4. Every term they use is straight out of Scientology. SP's, (suppressive persons) etc. Scary thing is that real actual people in the world believe something that's 99% in common with this.
Survived for me, But i did save and put more fusioncores in the UFO, They started to panic and exploded Gloriously and i laughed my ars off, then i loaded the save and let them live

AHS-8 is still a pull, but based on the fact that high ranks either had massive amounts of wealth to donate (and thus most likely possess an inherent narcissism) or were brutally desperate to obtain the caps necessary. Both will still most likely want to know their donations are having an impact, and so godlike powers appeal to narcissism/brutality.

Ace Wolfgang Loot on them deads respawn so more spacesuit for my settlers.
How?
Funny thing is this is pretty much straight scientology, only names were changed and in scientology you raise your OT(Operating Thetan) level by buying overpriced books, donating money and going to (again, overpriced) seminars.
Also 94 scientologists disliked this video.
Keep up the great work!
I love you're lore videos!!

The edit function doesn't always work, even after refreshing the page.
I think this kinda goes in line with the lorenzos artifact quest line with the aliens making us and shiz
Thekidthatflies is there a link to that?
Check our the cabot video
thenthapple ok.
Places like these, always makes me think of how easy it is for a pack of DeathClaws to come across it and take the whole thing down.
You get a intelligence boost by aligning, but it only lasts for an in game day
I love your voice it is so good at times of lore
her last name is Hubble and is looking through a telescope she may have made isn't it like the Hubble telescope 2.0 but smaller?
Hole in Dara's logic: If this allows them to do 'Unimaginable things' how will they do them? UNIMAGINABLE!
To the unaligned it is unimaginable XD
Oh...Sure, Phil gets to CALIBRATE you. How delightful...
been waiting for a new video not disappointed.
good :)
Survived for me, But i did save and put more fusioncores in the UFO, They started to panic and exploded Gloriously and i laughed my ars off, then i loaded the save and let them live
I love how he keeps talking about rads but we never hear the damn thing go off
No one:
thenthapple: You're carrying too much and can't run!
I know what happened to the other Hubologists: I killed them EVERY playthrough of Fallout 2.
after each alignment your character got Increasingly more impatient
The Hubology outfits are just a recolored leather coat with the exception for the hood. I made a side-by-side comparison when I got one.
I made the mistake of picking up the spacesuits before I had the mission. Heavy bloody things you can't drop. I had to walk slowly to the Hubologists to get rid of the things.
Honestly id love to try a playthrough with the most cults joined. Disciples, Hubology, children of atom, etc. Real cult maxing. Gonna grab the dunwhich weapon too of course
