I’ve seen other people talk about this…but if you think about it, Pitch could be considered a guardian; fear is an essential part of life, even if it’s not a pretty one, so theoretically, if he’d worked together with the other guardians, Pitch could have been part of the group instead of trying to recreate the dark ages just to be noticed again

Empathy, survival, things that would have been very important in a harsher world centuries back. "You're all hard work and deadlines, and I'm all snowballs and fun times." Fun Fact: This was the last Christmas movie Roger Ebert ever wrote a review for. He did give it a good one. Mythology Fact: In one scene, the Tooth Fairy (Isia Fisher) finds a mouse beneath a pillow. This is Ratoncito (Little Mouse) Perez, or The Tooth Mouse, a children's book character created by Spanish author Luis Coloma in 1894 said to replace lost baby teeth with gifts in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, and Latin America. Historical Fact: Bunny (Hugh Jackman) mentions that Jack Frost (Chris Prine) caused a blizzard on Easter Sunday of 1968, a reference to an actual event. At the beginning of the movie, Jack Frost walks through a Colonial American village. In the background, the folk song "Kempe's Jig" is playing. This was a popular early eighteenth century English dance song, named in honor of William Kempe, a famous sixteenth century English comic stage actor, whose work influenced modern comedic acting, stand-up comedy, and improvisational comic skits.
Its so understable that Tooth Fairy has a crush on Jack - he is the reason people slip on ice and often break their teeth. So Tooth Fairy most likely love him for that 😂 Also Jack and Easter bunny hating on each other? Well how many times we expected beautiful spring with sun and flowers for Easter and got ice, cold and snow instead? Totally Jack Frost "pranking" Easter bunny xd Also: in this movie Tooth Fairy meets a mouse and she says its European Division. Well mostly Western Europe. In Eastern Europe we have a tooth fairy too. And Santa Claus, and Easter Bunny. Ive heard about Jack Frost too. Only the Sandman is not that common
In the book series, Pitch is actually the Nightmare King, and he's determined to take over children's dreams and happiness and replace them by darkness. He's also able to actually turn children into Fearlings, which are literally his creatures of darkness, something that would be terrifying for kids. Imagine having your soul completely and utterly tainted, perverted and corrupted! Because he can manipulate shadows and can't stand the light, he's earned himself the name of Boogeyman
👉Actually, pitch used to be a "Hero of Golden age". His real was Kozmotis Pitchiner, at that time he had a golden army to fight against the Nightmare creatures. when he and his army capture it, they prison them that made of lead in the farthermost regions of space. He volunteered to keep watch over them. As time passed, Kozmotis started to miss his daughter (Mother Nature) and the Fearlings took the opportunity to trick Kozmotis by mimic his daughter's voice. Kozmotis, believing that his daughter was trap, opened the gates letting the Fearlings escaped and simultaneously get possessed by them, turning Kozmotis Pitchiner into Pitch Black, the Nightmare King.
What made me fall in love with this movie is that they made the fantasy characters into super heroes. Santa uses the power of Wonder, Jack Frost uses the power of fun, etc. And the fact that individually they are power entities. I mean the Easter Bunny has the power of hope? WOW....but TOGETHER, along with the belief of children are JUST UNSTOPPABLE. I don’t think it’s confirmed but a lot of ppl theorize that Jack is Jamie and Sofie’s great great great, maybe an extra great, uncle since Jack’s sister lived. I adore this theory because it makes their bond even more special. Also speaking of Elsa there is a ship for them called Jelsa 😂 I remember being like 12 and watching videos that ppl made out of clips of each movie to make it seem as if they came from the same movie, it had captions and some had an actual plot and went on for so many parts! There was a whole community of videos like this on YT for this movie, Brave, HTTYD, Tangled, and Frozen specifically and I loved it so much, I think they were called like The Big Five or something? Idk but it was highlight of my life at that age and so far I’ve only met one other person who experienced this and we talked abt it for hours 😂
Fun fact: the ice isn’t just pretty fun when it was animated to look that way. Windows weren’t made the same way back when the Jack Frost myth emerged, and it was believed he’d leave fern-like frost on windows. This is a rare example of media depicting him with fern-like frost.
I think Pitch's original/base power is shadow manipulation- he does it a few times early on, but once he figures out how to corrupt the dream sand (which makes sense with shadows/fear, since a nightmare could be considered the scary shadow of a dream) thats VERY powerful and also his shiny new toy, so he leans on that for most of the rest of the movie. Shadow manipulation also makes sense for how he got so powerful in his era- when the sun went down the only light was candles or fires, everything else was shadows and the deep dark outside.
I think the kids brought back Sandman by believing in their dreams again. Fear can change a dream into a nightmare, but acknowledging your fear and still choosing to move forward can save a dream and make it a reality.
Pitch is the legendary figure of the Black Man. Even today in Germany the story is told about a black man in black clothing who kidnaps children at night. In the past, stories were a method of education and were intended to ensure that children had no place to go outside at night. The origin of the character Pitch lies at the time of the black plague.People who did not survive were taken away by the undertakers dressed in black. Since these people didn't come back, it was always said that the black man took them. In Germany they also say that all fairy tales are war stories. For this reason, the fairy tales before the Brothers Grimm overhaul include cannibalism, rape, and deaths of the main characters. The fairy tales were intended to warn and deter children.
6:03 (ish) "he can manipulate people's feelings?" He can *inspire* feelings I think is a better interpretation? Obviously you've seen the whole thing by the time of posting, so his center being "fun", he uses his magic to inspire a sense of joy and fun in people. Sometimes more directly than others, but less manipulation and more encouragement. You see after he hits Cupcake that he's waiting to see if it works - if she really was NOT feeling the fun it probably wouldn't have. But Jamie, and later Bunnymund with Sophie and the eggs, and the kids being woken up near the end, are already inclined in those moments to feel the fun, so it just helps bring that to the surface.
I love how Dreamworks animates the characters facial and bodily expressions to be more grounded and matured, and not overly articulate or as some call it "adorkable" like disney. They also create great epic action scenes without shying away from a little violence.
Rise of the Guardian is so underrated and forgotten. I rememeber when I first watch it as a kid. I was bawling in the scene when we see Jack's past, it was heartbraking, my dude died in frozen water. But he also died saving his sister. ROTG is so full of heart and the ending is so beautifull and hopefull ✨ I wish it would have been more recognized back then. We could have gotten a sequel or it could have become a Trilogy like Kung Fu Panda or HTTYD... And I would love it as much as those. But well, at lest sporadicly someone reacts to it mostly when Christmas is close
"My name is Jack Frost... the moon told me so" How sad is it that he wakes up alone, is alone for centuries and the only reason he knows his own name is because the moon told him. Like Moon, could you not give him a little more info. 😅😢
This is one of my absolute favourite films! It's such a clever and unique take on such well known characters! I can't even explain how goose bumpy I feel when Sandy comes back!! 🥲
I think the children still do believe in pitch, but because they don’t fear him anymore they can’t see him since pitch gets power from the fear that people have for him. If that makes sense? Atleast that is what I always thought happend.
In the Southern US, we call tiny dogs - chihuahuas, dachshunds, yorkies, etc. - ankle biters. And babies. My daughter was literally an ankle biter, she'd crawl up behind me and bite my leg when she was little. 😂
This is based on a series of books. Jack Frosts story is not the first one in the series. That it Norths story (Santa) Each guardian has their own book with how they became a guardian.
I've watched it too many times as a kid, like, over 20 times. I even made fan art of Jack (he was my biggest childhood crush) and was a HUGE Jack × Toothfairy shipper. Good times, good times. I still watch the movie every now and then. I have it downloaded on my phone, so whenever I feel like watching it, I just do
I love this movie and it still sucks to know it never got the attention it deserved at the time. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've always loved how they just hinted at something between Jack and Tooth. It was made obvious but still subtle enough that it never really became part of the core plot. It just is and it's simple.
And I pity pitch cause kinda seems like the moon made him to motivate humans to live since fear is what back then helped us live but then the moon decided that pitches time was over and he was to powerful so he made the guardians or something along those lines
Hey, I loved watching this with you. I remember when my best friend, my sister, and I were so excited to see this. The storytelling is so creative. I love that cute laugh you made when figuring out the Easter bunny was an Aussie. The reaction was priceless. 😂😂
If you look back, once Pitch breaks the staff, little ice crystals start forming in his shadows, just like w/ how he copied the dream sand to make the Nightmares; which funny enough all spawned from Cupcake's Unicorn dream...
What I got was that he was able to basically behave like an infection or disease; so once it infected someone’s dreams, that’s how he took over Sandy’s creations. So the sand was never really his. So when the kids caught back their own fears, they were able to banish the fear from the dream sand. Fast-acting antibiotic for dreams, lol.
I love all of your reaction videos-as a busy grad student, watching your videos my favorite way to unwind when there isn’t time to sit down and select/watch a full movie. Also makes my day seeing you react to movies I already love ❤️ I think if you enjoy the nostalgia/heartwarming themes of animated movies, you would really enjoy Spirit (Dreamworks, 2002). It was one of my favorite animated movies as a kid, and one with themes that I can still genuinely enjoy/appreciate as an adult. Thank you for all you do and the thought you put into your videos!!
This is exactly my story! I didn't stop myself in 2 weeks now (all those tests and semestral works are taking a toll on me) and The Cocoa Couch, Badd Medicine, Gavin Bennet, White Noise Reacts and Dylan is in trouble are the only people I can find time for in terms of daily entertainment. Plus this guy really doesn't need a company to give away a solid reaction full of deep thoughts and joy (as Kris Collins would say, he has a beautiful brain). You have no idea how your comment resonated with me. Take care and Merry Christmas!! 🤍
@@petrastein2531I also watch Badd Medicine, Dylan Is In Trouble and White Noise Reacts. I’m said White Noise Reacts is stoping their channel though I mean theres still a little bit of hope but just waiting to see what happens next!
I always thought the ending of this movie was off. Like the entire movie it's been pushing how much it sucks to be forgotten, and then all the guardians celebrate Pitch being forgotten. I know he's the bad guy, but fear can be useful in certain situations. I think it would've been better if Pitch was reformed?
I absolutely love this movie, and I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves, so I love when reactors discover this one. Thank you for a great reaction. 🥰
After all, they basically are there, and personified Sandmans center was dreams. Oh, and Pitch never had the same power as Sandman. He had the power to infuse fear into Sandmans powers, in essence stealing his strength
Hi, fellow Aussie here. As children we were called ankle biters. I in turn call my nieces and nephews ankle biters. My youngest nephew is crawling and is also know to bite the ankles of adults he wants attention from. I keep telling him he doesn't have to be so damn literal.
Don't know if anyone told you or not, but you should DEFINITELY check out the credits. There are a few little scenes in the first ten minutes or so that are absolutely hilarious!!
One of my favorite headcanons is that HTTYD and ROTG are in the same universe and this stims from old Norse god history, one Norse god was known as Jokul Frosti who was they son of the wind god Kari and loved to spread the beauty of winter. Not to mention, supposedly it snowed 9 months of the year and hailed the other three in HTTYD. Meaning it was ALWAYS cold. It's would just be really cool of the universes were combined.
just gonna give my owntheory on how Sandman revived. Its a mixture between wut i believe and wut ive heard. so before he died, Sandy put his last powers into Jamie, the boy he knew actually saw and would believe in him for a lon time, thus Jamie stillhaving dreams despite all his friends getting nightmares. And when he comes in contact with the nightmares, its like a trigger to the power inside him. This also triggers strength in the kids to conquer their nightmares, taking down the black horses and at the same time, spreading the sand-like dream powers around the entire place. By doing that, it makes a few kids start believing and it helps the guardians gain their strength for the final battle. And while all together, they couldnt do it alone. but with enough dream sand spread, sandman could rise up again wut ive learnt is when Bunny said 'I hope u like carrots'. Ive watched this movies a ton of times and i never understood that line till now which is pretty weird. im hoping for a 2nd movie of this but honestly I cant see where it would go.
"oh, rack off" omgggg i havent heard that since watching Heart break high in english 8 years ago...cuuute hahahahaha Sandy ready to freaking punch a kid will never not be hilarious i guess santa is russian since one of the oldest santa legends, back to roman times i think, was Grampa Winter. an equivalent dressed in blue who gives presents with the help of his granddaughter
Funny that you mentioned Elsa because there is a popular fan pairing of Elsa and Jack Frost because they both have similar vibes of pale, blonde/white hair, ice powers, And both of them are lonely Elsa from spending her whole life locked in her room and Jack not being able to be seen for 300 years. Also I think if they ever make a second one I dont want Pitch to be a bad guy, I want them to not redeem him because he's not a good guy, but at least show that fear isn't always bad, it's what makes you jump out of the way of a car, or stay away from dangerous animals, not want to eat food that might be poisonous. A little fear is sometimes good.
This is one of my favourite animated movies. William Joyce is the author of a series of books that they put together to make this movie. He also wrote the stories that have become the movie Epic. I think you would like that one too.
One of my favorites movies ever but it's about Easter mostly lol everyone thinks it's about Christmas. Jack is one of my favorite characters and he along with hiccup, rapunzel and Merida kinda was a thing
I know other people have already said this, but oh well. Pitch went about things the wrong way, but he comes from a very understandable position. He was the original Guardian. He was the thing in the darkness to avoid, which kept young kids away from very real dangers (wolves, cold, water, etc), but he also represents learning to face your fears and build courage. Then all of a sudden, The Man in the Moon decides that it's more imporant for the kids to be happy rather than safe. It's like the Witch's line from Into The Woods: I'm not good, I'm not bad, I'm just right. Pitch was fulfilling an important role, and the others not only deminished it, they took it away entirely. Kids need wonder and hope and fun, but they also need to learn to be afraid, and to learn to face their fears. Honestly, I would have loved a Guardians sequel where Pitch got a redemption arc.
The designs for these characters is directly from the The Guardians Book Series by William Joyce, it also gives SO much more origins to Tooth and Bunny that is left of this movie and an impressively wonderfully painful backstory for Pitch. I will always recommend these books even though they're definitely a teenager level book series.
Grew up watching this and love it also it's technically an Easter movie not a Christmas movie also I believe Jack frost is actually Jamie's uncle since hacks sister lived on and he see's his sister in Jamie plus Jamie looks like his sister a bit that's probably his nephew also the town Jamie and his friends live in is probably the same village jack came from when he was human but also the one he found when he woke up in the beginning
Since Jack Frost had been Jack for 300 years in before the events in this film, Jamie couldn't be his nephew, But possibly a descendant through his sister? I can entertain that idea.
I saw this movie in the cinema long yrs ago (that was a "solo-date" > from me to me :)), and I LOVED it. At this time I had a fantasy book idea (my first 4-5 chapter was done), and this movie gave me a huuuge inspiration :) about "dreams AND nightmares". The years passed, and my first two book is almost done. :)
I don’t really remember where I heard this theory, or even IF it’s a theory…but there’s a theory that Baby Tooth is Jack’s sister reincarnated….there’s also a theory that Jamie is his descendant Again, I don’t know if these are theories or if they’ve been confirmed
The Sandman heard of him believe it or not that dream you had where you could fly for the one about being a pop star that's the same man's work for sandy as he's known to his fellow Guardians. The Sandman is a mythical spiritual being originating from European folklore. Typically, a character in children's fables, he is said to put people to sleep and bring good dreams by sprinkling magic sand into people's eyes at night. The grit in people's eyes when they wake from sleep is supposedly the Sandman's doing.
I absolutely love watching your videos, I really like your commentary and I'm glad that you don't overanalyze the films you react to. Thanks for putting so much effort into your videos!
Pretty much it was not Jack's fault of ruin Easter because it was his memories calling out to him and Pitch gave him his memories so the Gaurdians will think that Jack betrayed them
Rise of the Guardians is criminally underrated. It's one of my absolute favorite animated movies ever. Also, funny you said "aye aye captain" at the end when Chris Pine was the voice actor for Jack Frost, and also played Captain Kirk in the 2009 Star Trek reboot (unless that was intentional?).
here's Jack Frost abilities Winter magic: Jack can summon ice, snow, frost, and blizzards, and freeze things solid with a wave of his staff. Flight: Jack can fly by riding the wind. Magic of fun: Jack can use snowballs or snowflakes to make people feel joy, laughter, and fun. Free running: Jack is a skilled free runner who can move quickly across rooftops and through traffic. Battle style: Jack's battle style combines Parkour and Kendo. Physical age manipulation: Jack goes through extraordinary changes after his battle with Pitch. Leaf manipulation: Jack has a special connection with the world of leaves.
Extended lore, Pitch USED to be a good guy, but he was trying to guard an army of evil things in their cage, and they manipulated him into releasing them, then possesed him to together became what he is now. Of course, that's not in the movie. Book content, I think? Pretty sure I learned from other youtube videos.
Always loved watching this movie, especially when my sister was younger since she reminded me so much of Sophie. Glad you got to see this treasure. I know its based of a book series. But if they added to the series or even made a film sequel, would love to seem them add Cupid, be like Hawkeye.
People ship Elsa and Jack a lot, but I personally prefer to stick with this underlying relationship between him and the Tooth fairy in this movie. But that aside, I think this is a great movie and I kinda want a sequel, but at the same time I don't, cause I'm afraid it wouldn't live up to the expectation.
I think that Jamie is the decendant of Jack's sister. they have the same eyes. and Jack did not go that far to the ice, and the sister of Jamie was dropped into the home that was so close to the ice pond.
As an early 2000's born, I grew up with shows like Rise of the Guardians, HTTYD (How to Train your Dragon), LoTR (Lord of the Ring), CoN (Chronicles of Narnia), Twilight and a few others, when these shows came out, those were magical times that children should all experience and If I could re-live those times again, I definitely would. Also Sandman and Pitch (Boogeyman) have the same abilities, just that one is Dreams and the other is Nightmares, the thing is though is that I believe that Sandman and Pitch are the same beings split in half, I say this because I watched "The Sandman" series with the main character being Sandman, he have the title of "Sandman", he has the power to manipulate both dreams and nightmares, he has a pouch filled with sand, he looks just like Pitch and his name is Morpheus. What if Sandman and Pitch is just two personifications of one whole, which is Morpheus, an Eternal and Lord of Dreams and Nightmares?
This movie is based on a series of books ("The Guardians of Childhood") that explains Pitch's backstory. He and Sandman are not two halves of one entity
I love this movie so much!! Please also watch Klaus, it's pretty new, but already a Christmas tradition in my house, it's such an amazing story and absolutely beautifully animated 🎄🎄
I too love this movie. it sets off a rely good story telling, and give truth about believing, and believing into yourself. This movie good points in life. I just love Jack Frost's character growth. I also had the same theory about Jack Frost and Jamie are related through his sister. Also senes how much similar both Jack Frost's sister and Jamie look alike. I too wish they did another movie of Rise of the Guardians.
Pitch didn't have nightmare powers in the dark ages just the ability to spread fear. The more fear there is in the world the more powerful Pitch is, but after the guardians chased away his fear making the boogie man basically a joke we tell our kids. So he was able to spread fear in a new venue. One where it was harder to stop him. In the dreams of children. Innocent minds ripe for strong emotions and easily manipulate into extreme fear or even terror. Making him near God like in his powers. His ultimate goal was to black out the moon bringing about a new dark age.
No, man- look at Pitch’s face when Jack turns him down. He’s _genuinely hurt._ He wasn’t just trying to get Jack out of the way. At least part of him was truly hoping to finally have a partner who understood what it was to be a chronic Outsider.
Thank you for such a thoughtful and wholesome review. This is one of my favourite movies and I think it's so underrated, so it's great to see it getting some love now. Thank you and have a wonderful festive season! ❄

I like that theory and I think there are similarities in their character designs.
YES! I remember those too, that's when I knew I was going to be delulu for life...
@@lornaledesma9226 omg you’re so real for this 😂😭 absolutely delulu but it was such a good time, I have zero regrets!
That is a very interesting theory. It would have been a cool idea to go hard on lore if there ever was a good enough story to tell with a sequel.
How to train your Braves, Tangled Guardians!!! I especially enjoyed the fanfics that put them at Hogwarts, each in a different house.
Fun fact: the ice isn’t just pretty fun when it was animated to look that way. Windows weren’t made the same way back when the Jack Frost myth emerged, and it was believed he’d leave fern-like frost on windows. This is a rare example of media depicting him with fern-like frost.
"Ankle biter" is used for tiny yappy dogs that tend to attack the ankles. Chihuahuas are the most common
In Australia it's used to refer to small children 😂
I think Pitch's original/base power is shadow manipulation- he does it a few times early on, but once he figures out how to corrupt the dream sand (which makes sense with shadows/fear, since a nightmare could be considered the scary shadow of a dream) thats VERY powerful and also his shiny new toy, so he leans on that for most of the rest of the movie.
Shadow manipulation also makes sense for how he got so powerful in his era- when the sun went down the only light was candles or fires, everything else was shadows and the deep dark outside.
jack is such a kind and gentle soul despite being mistreated and cast aside for 300 years for no reason. he means the world to me.
Right?! I love him ❤🥹
he inspires me
@@roshanfey Real 😭💙🩵
(I have thought about this movie way too much. I saw it in theaters like 5 times, and took notes on my nokia during one watch, like a NERD.)
Alex Baldwin is Santa
Chris Pine is Jack Frost
Hugh Jack man is Easter Bunny (my favore)
Jude Law is Pitch Black
Great voicing!!!!⛄❄🌲🎅🤶🎅🌲❄⛄🤶🎅🌲❄
I love how Dreamworks animates the characters facial and bodily expressions to be more grounded and matured, and not overly articulate or as some call it "adorkable" like disney. They also create great epic action scenes without shying away from a little violence.
Rise of the Guardian is so underrated and forgotten. I rememeber when I first watch it as a kid. I was bawling in the scene when we see Jack's past, it was heartbraking, my dude died in frozen water. But he also died saving his sister.
ROTG is so full of heart and the ending is so beautifull and hopefull ✨
I wish it would have been more recognized back then. We could have gotten a sequel or it could have become a Trilogy like Kung Fu Panda or HTTYD... And I would love it as much as those. But well, at lest sporadicly someone reacts to it mostly when Christmas is close
Based on the quality of Megamind 2, I don't want to see anyone ruin a sequel to this movie
I think you would really enjoy Klaus as a story with a non traditional santa
"My name is Jack Frost... the moon told me so" How sad is it that he wakes up alone, is alone for centuries and the only reason he knows his own name is because the moon told him. Like Moon, could you not give him a little more info. 😅😢
This is one of my absolute favourite films! It's such a clever and unique take on such well known characters! I can't even explain how goose bumpy I feel when Sandy comes back!! 🥲
This movie is criminally underrated. Glad you loved it too.
That it Norths story (Santa) Each guardian has their own book with how they became a guardian.
yep- I'm half hummingbird, half person. I don't think Jack understands what it is we do but his teeth really do sparkle!
went to watch this when it was first released in theatres, fell in love, and have since made it a yearly tradition to rewatch nearing xmas
yes same, and easter, and the film's anniversary, and my birthday...
What is interesting is that there is a book that have the backstory of Pitch in it.
Jude law played pitch, and Chris pine played Jack Frost. And you were right the was Hughe Jackman playing the Easter Bunny.
Also it looks like Jack's power brings out the good but also fun side of people
And I pity pitch cause kinda seems like the moon made him to motivate humans to live since fear is what back then helped us live but then the moon decided that pitches time was over and he was to powerful so he made the guardians or something along those lines
The Guardians of Childhood books have a backstory for him, and it is pretty tragic...
Cool@@toriecarter2711
Hey, I loved watching this with you. I remember when my best friend, my sister, and I were so excited to see this. The storytelling is so creative. I love that cute laugh you made when figuring out the Easter bunny was an Aussie. The reaction was priceless. 😂😂
I cannot tell you how much I love this movie. It's still one of my absolute favorites. Everything about it is just perfect. It's my comfort movie 💖
“Do adults get dreams? What’s the cut off?”
Whenever you stop believing
If you look back, once Pitch breaks the staff, little ice crystals start forming in his shadows, just like w/ how he copied the dream sand to make the Nightmares; which funny enough all spawned from Cupcake's Unicorn dream...
What I got was that he was able to basically behave like an infection or disease; so once it infected someone’s dreams, that’s how he took over Sandy’s creations. So the sand was never really his. So when the kids caught back their own fears, they were able to banish the fear from the dream sand. Fast-acting antibiotic for dreams, lol.
This whole scenario gets you thinking that the Guardians' purpose is like that of Doctor Strange.
This is definitely in my top 5 dreamworks films! Loved your reaction to the Easter Bunny!! Its actually Hugh Jackman!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love all of your reaction videos-as a busy grad student, watching your videos my favorite way to unwind when there isn’t time to sit down and select/watch a full movie. Also makes my day seeing you react to movies I already love ❤️
I think if you enjoy the nostalgia/heartwarming themes of animated movies, you would really enjoy Spirit (Dreamworks, 2002). It was one of my favorite animated movies as a kid, and one with themes that I can still genuinely enjoy/appreciate as an adult.
Thank you for all you do and the thought you put into your videos!!
I really appreciate that ☺️ I’ll keep that suggestion in mind!
i second this recommendation! spirit is such a classic
Pitch stole my baby teeth apparently because I can't remember my childhood lmao
When I watch this, I think of Jelsa (Jack Frost and Elsa) and when I watch Frozen, I also think of Jelsa
I like your shoelaces.
And while all together, they couldnt do it alone. but with enough dream sand spread, sandman could rise up again
wut ive learnt is when Bunny said 'I hope u like carrots'. Ive watched this movies a ton of times and i never understood that line till now which is pretty weird.
im hoping for a 2nd movie of this but honestly I cant see where it would go.
"oh, rack off" omgggg i havent heard that since watching Heart break high in english 8 years ago...cuuute hahahahaha
Sandy ready to freaking punch a kid will never not be hilarious
i guess santa is russian since one of the oldest santa legends, back to roman times i think, was Grampa Winter. an equivalent dressed in blue who gives presents with the help of his granddaughter
I think jamie is a descendant of jack. He lives is jacks hometown and he looks alot like jacks sister
But hey, that's just a theory 😁

I wondered how you'd react to an Australian Easter Bunny. Santa with naughty and nice tattoos on his forearms was a different vibe too.
Also I don't think he can fly but he does treat the wind as a friend so it helps him fly
I think this Santa Claus was derived from his first incarnation as Odin the all father from Norse mythology
I’m kinda surprised that Pitch isn’t the guardian of Halloween or something. Kids love Halloween and scary things that can give them thrills.
I could gush about every aspect of this film for hours. One of my favorites, underrated imo.
I can entertain that idea.
yeah, so Jaime would be his great(x?) nephew.@@shirleydurr411
I saw this movie in the cinema long yrs ago (that was a "solo-date" > from me to me :)), and I LOVED it.
At this time I had a fantasy book idea (my first 4-5 chapter was done), and this movie gave me a huuuge inspiration :) about "dreams AND nightmares".
The years passed, and my first two book is almost done. :)
I don’t really remember where I heard this theory, or even IF it’s a theory…but there’s a theory that Baby Tooth is Jack’s sister reincarnated….there’s also a theory that Jamie is his descendant
Again, I don’t know if these are theories or if they’ve been confirmed
The Sandman heard of him believe it or not that dream you had where you could fly for the one about being a pop star that's the same man's work for sandy as he's known to his fellow Guardians. The Sandman is a mythical spiritual being originating from European folklore. Typically, a character in children's fables, he is said to put people to sleep and bring good dreams by sprinkling magic sand into people's eyes at night. The grit in people's eyes when they wake from sleep is supposedly the Sandman's doing.
"I was looking at Christmas movies and I saw this one!" Well, Santa's in it, but... XD
My first time watching this I saw the kid get hit by the couch in the beginning and all I could think was “final destination moment”
6:30 well can not exactly manipulate but help them see the bright side feel happy
I absolutely love watching your videos, I really like your commentary and I'm glad that you don't overanalyze the films you react to. Thanks for putting so much effort into your videos!
PATIENTLY waiting for Maze Runner: Death Cure, Reaction. Gunna be SWEET.
Sandman's theme music is so incredibly emotional, brings a tear to my eye. Composer Desplat made a Song version "Still Dream" too.
Pitch's voice is Jude Law btw!
Pretty much it was not Jack's fault of ruin Easter because it was his memories calling out to him and Pitch gave him his memories so the Gaurdians will think that Jack betrayed them
Rise of the Guardians is criminally underrated. It's one of my absolute favorite animated movies ever.
Also, funny you said "aye aye captain" at the end when Chris Pine was the voice actor for Jack Frost, and also played Captain Kirk in the 2009 Star Trek reboot (unless that was intentional?).
here's Jack Frost abilities
Winter magic: Jack can summon ice, snow, frost, and blizzards, and freeze things solid with a wave of his staff.
I love this movie! The way they represent the Guardians is awesome!
Saw it in the theaters back in the day, still my winter holidays staple ❤ glad you've watched it ❤
I think that Jamie is the decendant of Jack's sister. they have the same eyes. and Jack did not go that far to the ice, and the sister of Jamie was dropped into the home that was so close to the ice pond.
He and Sandman are not two halves of one entity
the lore and world building here is actually so freaking good ❤
I love this movie so much!!
This is one of the most underrated movies ever. Fortunately I watch it with my kids all the time and they love it
I love the Easter Kangaroo in this movie
Pitch didn't have nightmare powers in the dark ages just the ability to spread fear. The more fear there is in the world the more powerful Pitch is, but after the guardians chased away his fear making the boogie man basically a joke we tell our kids. So he was able to spread fear in a new venue. One where it was harder to stop him. In the dreams of children. Innocent minds ripe for strong emotions and easily manipulate into extreme fear or even terror. Making him near God like in his powers. His ultimate goal was to black out the moon bringing about a new dark age.
The tooth fairy is also voiced by an aussie, isla fisher
Idk why no one seen this movie!! The movie is from 2012 and it still underrated in 2023. I’m happy that this movie is getting more popular now!!
This is one of my favorite films ever.
Dreamworks rarely disappoints.
tooth fairy's crush on jack is real lmao, also jude law voiced pitch black he plays dumbledore in fantastic beasts, you should defenetly check that trilogy out it shows more about harry potter's world!
