People hating on this song conveniently forget where and how Eminem grew up and what color his closest associates are. I'm sure he saw a lot of this shit personally in Detroit. But it doesn't even matter how much he experienced it - the man researches everything he does and tells a whole story in song format to call attention to a glaring issue. People just don't know how to be f cking grateful anymore and act entitled than a MFer. Sick of the BS ignorant ones who act like white people can't speak on the issue and then complain cus there's no discussion.

I'm a white guy from southwest FL living in Germany with my Iranian wife. Your son said, "it won't happen with Trump in office". What about Hillary? According to her y'all are super predators. I'm a Christian myself and my wife is "Muslim". I'm liberal in the sense that you can believe what you want i don't give a shit but i believe in constitutional conservatism. The first Amendment is supposed to make us free and the 2 Amendment will keep us free. Obama did nothing Hillary wouldn't have done anything. I just don't want dems as president. Democrats are the kkk, voted nearly 100% against 13, 14 and 15 Amendments, planned parenthood(with the purpose of killing black babies). Trump says dumb shit, but I'd rather have that than a party who is currently trying to trample the document that freed an entire nation. I will say this, fuck slavery, no one has the right to own anyone period. I live in a socialist/ communist country and you don't want this. Im no kid, I joined the Army shortly after 9/11 and we need to preserve the freedoms we have. I'm not saying that America is perfect, nowhere is. Y'all are mad at the wrong people. Do your due diligence. I just heard you say something and i need to stop writing. One last thing. As a fellow American citizen, i beg you to please watch Anthony Russo's America: Freedom to Fascism.

I ask the same thing, Racism is a mental disease, but I have faith that someday all of us are going to treat ourselves as we should because we are all one race, the human race. Hopefully, as time comes around every person that doesn't think like this, can learn that we're all worth the same, and that's the world.

"Pulling oneself up by ones bootstraps" was originally a saying used to describe something impossible, because the mental image is standing in your boots and then lifting your entire body off of the ground via the bootstraps.
Now, however, it's been changed into "I did it all myself", which is impossible. You cannot achieve anything in society without the help of society.
You want to start a business? You need customers.
You want a job? You need businesses.
You want to buy something? You need businesses.
You want to hire someone? You need people with an education (even if it's just basic school).
You want an education? You need teachers.
You want safe food? You need someone to make sure businesses aren't selling you poison.
You want to be safe? You need people to keep you safe from fires, wars and criminals.
You want to be healthy? You need doctors and nurses.
You want to go somewhere? You need a road.
You want a car? You need car dealers, car salesmen, car factories, factory employees.
Anyone claiming they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps are either lying or incredibly naïve about how society helped them alone.

6:14 Has another meaning - Low Ready that's what em mean.. Low ready is basically part of THREE READY POSITIONS EVERY CONCEALED CARRIER (1. Low Ready 2. Compressed Ready 3. Sul Position). Concealed carrier is refers to the practice of carrying a handgun or other weapon in public in a concealed or hidden manner. So in the lyrics" You don't have to know our plans or what our intentions are " - That's Concealing/Concealed/Hidding. And in the lyrics "Our cards are close to our chest, you better show your hands" - That's the Low Ready Position, when the a shooter is ready to fire his weapon. He puts his gun on his chest. Our Cards = Lifecard is a .22 pistol basically its a Gun. Word play.

Thank you for the great reaction! I’m a white woman in my mid fifties, born into the lower class and class system in the UK. My parents scraped and scratched to get us to Australia, “The Land of Opportunity “ they call it here.Opportunity for all white men. Racism in Australia is rampant. Black indigenous deaths in custody measure in almost 500 since they passed a law in the late 90s supposedly reforming police procedures with indigenous people! I’ve been badly bullied for being British at school and having an accent. I’ve been groped horrifically in broad daylight, I’ve had men tell me to be quiet because I’m a woman. I’m a retired registered nurse and almost finished a bachelors degree, yet that doesn’t mean a damn in public dealing with white men who feel they have a mandate to touch, ogle, denigrate to their heart’s content because the culture has allowed it. I’m not a feminist, I’m a pragmatist. This world is in chaos:racism, sexism, xenophobia, ageism lives in everyone white, black, brown. It’s our actions and how we deal with it all that matters. How we make ourselves better. It has to start with every single person who thinks ‘what can I do?’ to just do something, anything no matter how small. I love that you got pissed. Everyone should be pissed right now, everywhere.xx

I’m currently at the part where your son is talking about the white dude saying white privilege doesn’t exist, and as a white guy that really annoyed me. White privilege definitely does exist and we are 100% benefited more in life just because of our skin.
Now while white privilege does exist I do not agree with it, skin colour doesn’t define who we are as people, neither race is better than the other. We should all be treated equally with the utmost respect.
It upsets me to see how y’all get treated by police and society just because of the colour of your skin. .

Definitely and I hear that shit a lot as a white person coming from and living in a poor Appalachian area. A lot of my friends and family can't understand that white privilege is not necessarily speaking on wealth or those types of advantages in life. I try to explain that it's more about the inherent privileges you receive because of your skin color and how you most likely don't get followed around in a store, profiled as much by police, can easily find bandaids that match your skin color, don't have people react with fear/aversion to you because your skin or your hair isn't the same as theirs, and so on....

@@Arobisme That is an excellent question and I would say that the above examples are just that- examples and I would still argue that it is primarily White privilege as Whites have composed the majority of the population (in U.S. and other Western areas) for the longest as well as have been the ones in power and playing the role of the oppressors. While Asians may not get followed around stores they do experience a lot of microaggressions (eroticizing/fetishes of Asian women, assumptions that there is no difference or importance btwn Vietnames, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino etc, ppl assuming they don't "belong" here, either assuming intelligence or fighting skills b/c of ethnicity, etc) as well as overt racism throughout the years via govt actions, internment camps, and ppl who still view Asians as only a source of "ninja comedy" and throw around racial slurs like Ch***. I could also list many examples of ways in which White privilege exists in contrast to the treatment of Latino/a populations as well and so on but regardless of the population compared, at least in our society, White privilege is a real thing that needs to be acknowledged. I'm not saying that all White people (myself included) ask for it or are even majorly at fault but it is our responsibility to help bring equality and fight injustice.

I enjoyed watching you guys interacting and talking about this. I remember Rodney King, I was young, but that was emblazoned in my mind. I learned that day what white privilege was, I'd never seen anything like that. I remember having the shock (as a young naive child)that they were doing this because his skin was darker. I really appreciate this reaction. I don't ever talk politics on UA-cam, but damn, 45 has got go.

I’ve been subscribed to you since I first experienced your channel.
Involving your teenagers and exposing them to diverse genres of music is essential; though it is the way that you utilize music, a universal art , and encourage, empower & support them to learn how their insight , perspective & voices matter by doing such is parenting at its finest. You are opening the door for conversations that need to be had by all. Too many people don’t know how to begin or don’t think to try. You’ve successfully done so with your teens through relatable, relevant, and thoughtful creativity. Their mature and insightful character reflects yours. That which you are moved by & look at camera with quiet knowing is notable, as much as that which you choose to pause & reiterate, add background information, ask for feedback when you are uncertain is admirable. You let the flow go and stop videos at particularly important moments ; allowing the impact of message & imagery to be observed, absorbed, and then responded to. I could go on and on about what makes this channel special, significant, and imperative to experience but I will finish by thanking you and you for all you do, for sharing what a connected family is, and for your authenticity. There are people who have children who care for them enough to grow and do as they were taught, and then there are parents like you whom actually actively Raise them. I am sincerely grateful for your energy, enlightenment and spirit. You are a guide raising leaders. I am grateful that your young adults will carry and influence the future with the dignity, wisdom, & grace of their father. Thank you for dedicating time to share same experience with all ; much gratitude for blessing others with offering same opportunity to evolve. You encourage revelations; with instrumental influence, and are a Revolutionary spirit. Thank you for actively Being , for breathing grace , depth, and strength into this world that so long needed to become uncomfortable, invigorated, and woken.

Die Antwoord is a white hip hop group from South Africa. Ninja is their lead singer. No context on that bar tho...so...yeah.
Police training is so important. Take dealing the the Mentally Ill just as a different perspective. So many encounters end in death and violence that never needed to. Even with the protests you see how insane the response has been on peaceful people in several encounters.

I'm a white woman, and yes maybe that's privileged. Yet I grew up poor, my Dad was never around, I didn't have college money, I have never felt like I was living a privileged life. The thing with Em is he crosses all barriers and brings us together. He makes us feel each others pain and exposes the flaws in our society and political systems. He is so unique in the fact that his words cut through to the heart of anyone who has the open mind and heart to listen. Beautiful reaction boys ❤❤❤❤
