- Chord-scales are one of the foundations of music-jazz music in particular-and are a great workout for both hands. In this tip, you'll learn to play chord-scales in two voicings (1 - 5 - 7 - 3; 5 - 3 - 7 - 1) in major, melodic minor, harmonic minor, harmonic major, and other scales.
