So happy to see you back with Zeppelin, and I hope you'll continue with them. I've really missed watching you react to the Mighty Zep, you always have me grinning from ear to ear! 😁 I thought you'd love this one, I do too! Zeppelin doing funk, kinda their nod to James Brown! Yes, they could do any style and kill it, so very versatile! The greatest! ☮️❤️
Sceez! ~ haven't seen you doin LZ in a while, been missin it! This was a tongue in cheek shout out to James Brown and honestly the whole "Motown" sound that was in full bloom at the time (1973). LZ always appreciated good music in any genre and used much of it as influence for their own stuff (that IS what makes them so versatile)! The "bridge" refers to that lack of one in this song, hey, they didn't claim to be comedians, but they did have fun with this track!
Yes an ode to the Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown, Bonham & JPJ we’re huge James Brown fans. Page stated they met him on several occasions. The last time he saw him was about 6 months before his passing, at the UK Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions. Yes Led Zeppelin is very versatile, & that’s one of may things that make them so great. I subscribed so please don’t make us wait so long for more Led Zeppelin. Try starting on their first album, side one song one & go through them, you won’t be disappointed. If you want great live performances, I or we can give you suggestions thank you for your great reaction.
Dude I don't have to tell you that Jimi Hendrix used to play a broom around the house kind of inspired his dad I think to get him a guitar. So somebody out there by this kid a guitar
Zeppelin does FUNK! 😅❤

Sceez, if you love Zepplin so much be quieter. We don't need your version of Robert, he does it well enough to make an album. 😂
I think , with "Mr Pitiful", it was a nod to Otis Redding
