  • In this video I am servicing a Gryphon band saw. The slides are seized up and the motor wheel is rusted onto the shaft. I will show you how using white vinegar can save the day. This saw has a number of serviceable parts. These are readily available on the internet. I ordered mine through www.riogrande....
Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for watching.

I'm doing the same job on the same saw. Where did you order the parts from? Did you get them from gryphon directly? Or ebay?

😅 was thinking the same thing, mine is around 7 years old & I thought it was looking a bit tired until I saw the rust on this fella! The plastic flanges at the rear of both the top & bottom wheels on mine have pretty much worn away to nothing, which makes my blades sometimes want to jump off (& usually gives me a canny shock😱) so looks like I need to buy new ones. Postage to the UK on top of the item costs is always a killer for the sake of some little plastic parts but what can you do 😮‍💨
