Welcome to Calgary. Been living here for 25+ years. Came here at the age of 19 for University of Calgary for my Engineering degree and never left. Have owned a condo for 16 years now and looking to have my front-drive house built so your video is helpful in understanding the market conditions and how supply/demand is. We might end up getting our house built. We have two kids now I might end up selling my condo as they are skyrocketing right now and use that money towards our next house we are hoping to have built by 2025.

Hey! Our friends moved here at pretty much the same time as us. But even if they hadn't, I think we would have still moved. Edited in Premiere Pro.

The real estate market here in Calgary's pretty hot currently! Moved here from the GT/Niagara las year and I ended up making a bully offer a townhouse site-unseen within 2 hours of it being listed to avoid a multiple offer situation. I lost out on several listings as I was competing 10-25 offers . I have a feeling that the market here will continue to have a bull run as a lot of people from Ontario and BC continue to move here
Good for you! I feel conflicted about prices continuing to increase. On one side, that would be great for us since we already bought. But it also means Alberta is slowly turning into ON/BC and pricing out many people.

I think prices will increase but probably won't get anywhere near Toronto or Vancouver prices as it's significantly cheaper and faster to add more housing supply. We don't have the geographical constraints that those cities have to deal with either so that also makes building homes much easier as well

It’s sad that the average person in their 20s now cant own a home unless they have a partner or a roommate.

You can never time the market 🙂 If you can still comfortably afford your mortgage, then it’s not an issue.
