  • I recently moved my offices and decided to spend some money to build my dream set up. I landed on this beautiful Pheasantwood sit stand desk from a company in Australia called desky. Here is my set up with all the bells and whistles included.

    Oooft! Love the new set up Peej, can’t wait to see it in full D&D action. The wood grain looks beautiful, great choice.

    Great video! Completely agree with the cable management option being $$ for what you are getting, but well worth the money.
    FYI - just picked up the wheels and they are a game changer!
    Works well on my carpet. I'm not strong by any means and it is super easy to move the desk to the front of the window or whichever wall I feel like working from. I've even worked with the desk in the middle of the room! Highly recommend!

      That’s good to know. It really appeals to me because my camera and lights are attached to my desk and I could just wheel the whole setup around to film on a different background.
      Thanks for the comment!

    Nice! I got a Pheasantwood Desky late last year too and love it. So much better than the old dining table I was using. Though I still have 2 x Rode arms on my desk - haven't found a good reason to switch them out yet. :)

    Beautiful setup 👌🏻
    How many cm. from the top of the leg to the side edge of the desktop as I’d like to place my IKEA Alex drawer underneath.
    Hopefully you can help 🙏🏻

    Had a couple questions about this as I'm putting together a custom desk (The 2000mm wasn't quite long enough, so decided to go with some timber panels - 2400mm) and I'm wanting to install threaded nut inserts into the tabletop so I'm not damaging the wood if/when I have to disassemble it.
    With the screws you get with the desk; Are those the Timber Screws (M5) that are outlined in the instruction manual?
    If the standalone frame comes with the screws included it means I can simply use those but also means I'll have to get nut inserts/nutserts to fit that particular size screw and want to ensure the holes in the metal Desky frame will fit screws of my own if I'm forced to go out and buy some myself.
    Any help would be much appreciated mate.

      I’m not much help here mate, I have virtually zero technical knowledge about this stuff. But I will say, the desky customer service was excellent in my experience so maybe send them an email or try and get someone on the phone?

    Hi PJ!
    I’m about to buy this desk but very hesitant since I haven’t seen any videos how stable it is.
    How’s the wobble of the desk especially at standing height? Front to back & lateral movements?
    Thanks!

    • @PJPantelis
      @PJPantelis  2 роки тому +1

      Hi JL, I’ve had no issues whatsoever with stability. I work mostly at (almost) the max height. My desk is a hardwood top which is a bit heavier than some of the other options - not sure if that makes it more or less sturdy. Highly recommend the monitor stand too which is very solid!

    These desks are great however unrealistically overpriced for everything, every aspect is overpriced, 100% cashing in on the work from home aspect. Sad really cause they are out of reach for anyone who doesn't want to spend that kind of money. Desk complete before shipping $2,237.90. AUD add shipping and al the accessories and so on and it's a rip off.

    • @PJPantelis
      @PJPantelis  Рік тому +1

      Hey Adam, Quality comes at a premium. This is the biggest, nicest hardwood desk they offer and is FULLY specced out with accessories. If you're on a budget there are very affordable options too. You can get a shorter desk in a melamine finish, with a manual or gas lift. Failing that, you can even buy the legs and BYO desk.
