Great video once again, Sergey. I took a life lesson from this session. Keep the people I want in life, directly infront of me, parallel to myself and focus just on them. Everyone else, do not require my focus lol
Me wondering why you don't have a lot of subscribers. You should have a MILLION subscribers! You explained this matter the way we wanted it to know. Thank you for sharing! Subscribed! More power!
This is the best video I have seen on depth of field. This is such a great explanation for people who don't understand this concept. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!!!
I asked you to explain how you managed to get all family members in focus in one of your last videos. This video explains everything perfectly. Many thanks Sergey. Alun
Great info! I’ve learned this through failing the hard way a number of times. Now I do this, but I also shoot once around F4-5.6, raise iso to accommodate, switch to manual focus, ask everyone to move and shoot the background at F1.2 so I can merge if necessary
Hey, thanks for this brilliant tip! What AF point selection would you recommend for this and if a single spot where to put the focus for group of people?
Thank you for your fantastic videos. You're not only an incredibly skilled photographer but also an outstanding teacher. Love watching all the content you create. Thanks a million!
Best explanation ever! I like your examples in video clips very much, they are so clear to see the difference! Even though I knew this a long time ago, but it was still good to see somebody made a video for this. Thank you for sharing it to us!
I didn’t know that people would need to be parallel to the lens in order to be in focus at the same time. This is great information to gain. I am a visual learner so I understand without having questions 😂
Ohh nice explanition !! love it Is there an other video on how to set aperture when there is two rows of people ? (One in front and one behind, group photos for example). I would love to learn it. Thanks
Great tutorial Sergio! I’m really surprised that when you had the twins spread out on the same plain that the outside edges did not get soft. I’ve always had the perception that the further you got from center the edges would get soft at shallower DOF.
Thank you so much. You got excellent explanation on this parallel and depth to feel thing. It helps me a lot to understand. Just learning how to use my lenses.
Nice simple explanation for newbies.. anyway can you also do a video on your phito editing process and if you can throw some techniques, tht will be great. Thanks

Thank you for the video and easy explanation, my question is which focus are you using eye AF, single point that info would help put everything together for me. Thank you
This video is so awesome thank you! I’m also a photographer in Greenville as well! This is one of the best description of depth of field I’ve ever seen!
Great video, but do you always shoot family portraits at 1.2? Feels a bit more safe to stop down a little bit in case someone starts leaning a bit forward during the shoot for example?
So how do you have everyone in focus if you are using different levels of standing seated arrangements? For example, two standing in behind seated subjects. Move further back, or adjust aperture?
Great video. What if I want to photograph a person holding a baby and use 1.2 or similar for nice bokeh. Any tips how to keep both the parent and the baby in focus?
made standing people get close as possible and lean forward.... make little bigger distance between you and group. or go for little higher f-stop such as 1.4, 1.8 or 2.0
Great video once again, Sergey.
I took a life lesson from this session. Keep the people I want in life, directly infront of me, parallel to myself and focus just on them. Everyone else, do not require my focus lol

good stuff man, I appreciate you
Excellent!!!!
Thank you!
Great explanation!
Thank you so much!
So when shooting family pictures with three rows of people, don't use a prime lens and use a Zoom instead?
Use prime but on smaller aperture such as F5.6
perfect ! thanks!
Thank you so much for your feedback!
Great work and tutor
Great video, but do you always shoot family portraits at 1.2? Feels a bit more safe to stop down a little bit in case someone starts leaning a bit forward during the shoot for example?
Amazing thanks so much
Your welcome
Thank you!!
You are welcome!
1.2 in group portrait is unheard of lol
I usually start at 2.8 if I'm lucky. The girls, while they're pretty, give me a horror creepy vibe
Now you know 😎😎😎
great video. stand in a line!
Thanks
thanks for the feedback!
So how do you have everyone in focus if you are using different levels of standing seated arrangements? For example, two standing in behind seated subjects. Move further back, or adjust aperture?
Great info ! You could always use f4 or even f8 with an f1.2 lens, it's not a crime :-)
great video.
what is your setup for your camera for family picture?
Great Info man)
Glad it was helpful!
What focusing you use? Single focus orang group focus in camera when you take picture?
This is perfect
Great video. What if I want to photograph a person holding a baby and use 1.2 or similar for nice bokeh. Any tips how to keep both the parent and the baby in focus?
Awesome video!
Thank you so much!

Thank you for sharing. How about having say 10 people where 5 are sitting and 5 are standing behind
made standing people get close as possible and lean forward.... make little bigger distance between you and group. or go for little higher f-stop such as 1.4, 1.8 or 2.0
great video. I want to say I have never see a video you do with fast. Do you have time to do one for us please
What do you mean? "I have never see a video you do with fast"???
