If you want a clean fold line it helps to use red and green aviation snips to make a small nip at each end of opposing sides of your fold line so theirs already a weakness in that fold line.
Great tip.
Thanks for the tip! Will use that for sure👌🏽
Great instruction - Thank you! I love it when someone explains things clearly and to the point without too much "fluff" or technical jargon!
Glad it was helpful!
Good! I chose the right guy!!
Direct and under 10 minutes, I appreciate it!
Appreciate the feedback
That crisp of a bend with that tool takes talent and experience. Great video on how to use a tool few people would understand how to use without instruction.
Appreciate the feedback
It's actually super easy to make a clean bend if the peice your bending is smaller or not that much wider than the jaw.
Great tutorial! My dad was a sheet metal worker for many years, and I remembered these tools throughout the shops he worked at. An upcoming project reminded me of this tool and I had to search for what it was even called and how to use it. Memory lane over here. THANK YOU!
Thanks. Glad it helped.
Great Video. I acquired a Malco S-6 Seamer and had no idea what it was used for; but with your Video, now I know how it's works. Thanks.
Glad it helped.
Damn just what I was looking for. Thank you Sir!
Glad it helped.
Well explained and well filmed, thank you
Glad it helped.
well presented - thank you
You’re welcome.
thanks for sharing it mate 🙏
You’re welcome.
Great video and extremely helpful. I need to know these kinds of things to get into portable stove making, a passion and hobby of mine (alcohol and kerosene stoves made by hand). This will help with my ability to design a nice look
Great, glad it helped.
Thanks for this content, I plan on purchasing a seamer to bend my own stainless door wrap for a KABA Simplex lock I picked up. Just hoping it will make a proper bend on a few lower (thicker) gauges of steel I need for my project.
Glad it helped.
thank you for teaching
Glad it helped. You’re welcome.
Thank you!

Thank you.
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
Nice
Awesome tutorial mate, 👍
Glad it helped.
Great video. How to use this material to bend capping to cover your windows trim?
Window capping would be very easy you just need metal snips to cut it at the necessary areas.
I was going it all wrong lol thanks for the info
Glad it helped.
Great tutorial on how to fold the sheet metals! 22ga sounds thin but its pain in the ass if you dont have proper tools ! I cut myself so much trying to use flathead pliers before 😂
😂 I here you, my hands are beat up messing with metal. Gloves guys, gloves.
How would you bend the other sides in, now that there is a corner?
You would have to cut out the square that forms the corner in order to bend all sides.
@@Caliber8Tools ahh , I was hoping there was tool to address that instead of having to create cuts.
@@trishatate327 Would be nice.
Can this bend iron
Depends on how thick the iron is. Iron usually doesn’t come in thin sheets. This tool would not be ideal for bending thick metal.
Those forearm muscles indicate that this gentleman is a pro!
He’s very handsome too. I may just subscribe for the eye candy! 😉
Subscribing won't hurt. Appreciate the feedback
@@Caliber8Tools - sorry for any unintended uncomfortableness of my post. I just call it as I see it. (I’m an older lady, so no need to fear).
No discomfort here. Appreciate you.
@@Caliber8Tools Keep flexing.
can it bend 18 or 16 guage steel
18 gauge for sure.
Another way is to put the material in a vice, an use a mallet to form a bend.
Works for me.
That works too.
What an interesting little tool… How easily do you think this could bend a license plate?
Depends on where you place it on the license plate. The closer to the edge the easier to bend. However it’s pretty thin gauge metal so it’s shouldn’t be that hard.
Is this will work diamond metal sheets ?
Aluminum or steel? Either way you have to be careful not to crack it because of the thickness. I wouldn’t recommend using the tool in the video for diamond sheets.
No
💯💯
What about bending by using a hammer an a metal chisel, an carefully working ur way along the line to be bent. With care an concentration, it should yield good results...
I hear you. I would use the widest chisel I could find.
Cave man.
Try doing a rack or longer run. It will not look clean. Get the right tools for the job. Good tools give that nice attention to detail. 👍😎
The sound at the begining Ouch.. to loud... my baby start crying!
Other that that it's a nice quality video!

I wish you Americans used metric :-)
We do! 9mm, 50mm, etc.
