    I added a similar conversion on my 84 Aspencade and it worked perfectly and didn't have to modify or cut the lower fairings at all. Everything fits underneath. I didn't use the existing fan. I removed it and added a 9" low profile pusher fan in front of the radiator. Much simpler and looks good and works well.

    How are you doing?
    I think it's awesome what you've done here.
    Are there any Pros and Cons on doing this Conversion?
    I have a 1200 Goldwing Interstate also, Do you have Specs and links to where to get the items at?
    Also if you can update the video.
    How's it performing would be alsome. ✔️

    Can you send me the exact measurements for the crank and alternator pulleys that i would have to ask for from RDK tools and the alternator information??? I would appreciate it.

    hello I started the modification but how did you manage to lengthen the screw which is on the camshaft, it looks like an American screw and I can't find a longer one, how did you do it? Sincerely.

      Take the original cam shaft screw to a tractor supply store and look for longer one about 3.5 inches with same thread pitch. Best to you! 👍

    Do you happen to have measurements on the mounts you made?

    Just curious how the progress is coming along on this. Nice vid and thanks for taking the time to show in detail how you made the bracket. A simple small internally regulated 1 wire alternator is hard to beat! :-D (( and fairly cheep to replace )) Good job!

      COYOTE ADVENTURES sorry I'm just getting to ya, I didn't even know how to see comments until my 12 year old pointed them out lol. but anyway, got it all together, put probably 700 miles on it without a single problem. best time I ever spent, just wish I hadn't wasted 3 years letting it sit lol. and yeah, that single wire really made things easy, I even cut out all the other wiring that isn't needed. Guess I'll need to post a video of the finished product and it running, but I just spent so much time riding that it never crossed my mind!

    How does the pulley attach to the crank?

  • @craigbailey7229
    @craigbailey7229 5 років тому

    You must have got the last pulley from rdg tools with a 12 mm bore the only one they have left is a 2 and a half inch and that's not big enough a one to one pulley dont work so I'm going with a 4 inch pulley

    how did u go about getting the alignment correct on ur altinator bracket ?

  • @mikeparrish930
    @mikeparrish930 5 років тому +1

    helped a friend do this extremly very hard job lots of shit left out of the kit you have to build to make it work seams like taking motor out to replace stator is easer and cheaper

    • @kevinrussell5099
      @kevinrussell5099 4 роки тому +2

      No, it's MUCH easier to do the kit, I've done both so I know that for a fact! Plus, when the next stator dies, and it probably will, ask me how I know, you're back to square one all over again. Now, if my alternator dies, it's about a one hour job and you're back in business!

  • @daddyhermanson9737

    You were 80 percent of the way to just replace the stator for a $100 ?

    • @daddyhermanson9737
      @daddyhermanson9737 4 роки тому

      @Chris Earlywine I know where it is and I know the engine has to come out but he has 1/2 the bike ripped apart already ? I have had many goldwings and never lost a stator the one I have now I have owned at least 10 years and still working even has extra lights . If it did go I would pull the engine rather than fiddle with this .

    • @daddyhermanson9737
      @daddyhermanson9737 4 роки тому +1

      @Chris Earlywine its the faulty plug that causes the issue solder the wires and heat shrink it won't go bad in the first place just FYI

    Cost is stupid expensive, looks like poop when done. Man up and replace stator.
