I think the bushes you were referring to are called brambles here, they grow thick in bushes and have similar thorns on them to rose thorns. Karl was talking about stinging nettles that are more soft plant based but cause mild burning rashes on your skin when you brush against them
Nettles brushing up against bare legs can be pretty painful. It's pretty much something every kid learns about. And they are bloody everywhere so it's hard to avoid them
"The Ivy" is a famous restaurant in London where all the celebs go to. Very classy art deco style restaurant. Been there over 100 years, it's always been a hotspot for celebrities. Originally it was theatre actors that started the trend doing the big London shows.
It's nice but I think it tends to be B-celebrities that dine there now, or eastenders actors!] # Can you imagine being in the restaurant though and trying to hide the fact you just had the most Wasabi anyone ever ate!
You don't have Nettles?, or Stinging Nettles as they sometimes get called. Often they grow as big bushes but can be in small patches on grass. Their leaves are an irritant and causes a stinging sensation on your skin like fibre glass does. Thankfully, often near where Nettles grow, theres a plant called Bitter Dock or referred to as Dock Leaves, which is an easy identifiable plant that you can rub/wrap on the area and itll essentially cure the stinging. VERY common in Europe. Nettles are also used in an old timey recipe, you boil them to remove the stinging and turn them into Nettle Soup. Basically treat it like cabbage.
I dont think your skin can get used to stinging nettles like it can with fibre glass insulation.. Nettles contain the same poison as a bee sting or ants. Bee's can give heart problems and you can die from bee stings.. We used to fight and stuff each others underpant with fibre glass insulation, when i started working as young.. I wouldent do that with bee's or ants 🤣 (perhaps nettles, those are without a doubt weaker then bee's or ant 🫣)
When I was in college, one lecturer I had was also the head of health and safety in the college. But he was always trying get out of doing work. We had him an hour a week and he was always atleast 30 minutes late, giving rubbish excuses like the computer wouldnt start to print our work out because its cold. And one day round December he came into class in the morning with a thermometer and said " it's too cold to legally teach you today you best go home". Noone else in the college went, so it was just him
@Brian Badonde yeah, personally I think it does work a bit with a combination of the leaf being cold (which soothes) and being a rough surface (which removes some of the hairs)
Nettles swollen bases are filled with formic acid. the same stuff that causes the pain of ant and bee stings. Even accidentally brushing against the plant is enough to inflict stings, and the pain could last a whole day.
Stinging nettles. If your skin brushes the leaves they'll sting you, it hurts and you can see on the skin where you've been stung but it's not a really bad pain just enough to be annoying. It''s not sharpness that hurts you it's a chemical sting kind of like a wasp but milder.
I'm loving your reactions,,,,,couple of recommendations for you,,,the guy is Tim Minchin very very clever comedian look up Storm or the Pope song,,,I think you will end up down the same rabbit hole as you have with Peter kay
Hey beautiful ( Randi ) You're looking stunning today hun, very cute also if I may say.☺️☺️ I love how long your hair is. I'm guessing it's rather chilly there? Friends of mine who live over the east side if America are having quite a but of snow there at the moment. It's crazy. As for the noise, that's ok. Children will be Children and hopefully they are enjoying themselves so all good. This was a funny episode, it had me laughing alot, ahhahaha! 😂😂 If Karl isn't careful, he'll give himself a heart attack stressing about things as he does. Ricky and Steve will die of laughter I think, ahhahaha! 😂😂 Did you mention at one point you used to be a boss? If do, was that something you enjoyed doing or do you prefer to work for someone? A wonderful reaction as always dimples, hee, hee! 😂☺️ Keep smiling and I hope you get some rest. Have a wonderful day, take care hun. ♥️

I've managed before. It had pros and cons. I managed smaller staffs though, so as long as everyone was respectful and on the same page things were mostly smooth.

Well I meant that tingly irritating sensation it gives off. Its not something I make a habbit of touching 😅
and y'all don't have skunks! be glad
i'm guessing that if mrs Battersby came back, it might give poor Suzanne a break.

Why didnt you take the opportuniyu and go?!
I did. We all did in my class. But noone else was being sent home in the college so was obviously something he made up to get out of teaching
Nettles are a type of weed and just the slightest touch stings and hurts like crazy for hours.
Yeah, they're normal leaves but there's tiny hairs which cause a burning sensation when touched by bare skin
@Brian Badonde yeah, personally I think it does work a bit with a combination of the leaf being cold (which soothes) and being a rough surface (which removes some of the hairs)
As I've said Ricky Gervais Show never needs a filter/flipping etc that's why theres 100s of reactions to it that are normal

Weird how they don't sting you if you grab/squeeze them lol
I think they only sting you if you touch the top of the leaf, the stem and under the leaf is fine to touch
Hi Randi, Steve's wrong, a Ford Escort doesn't sound like an Austin Allegro, 'cause an Allegro would never bloody start!!!

Fix your screen. It's not clear. Looks like a reflection of a t.v. in a window.
Why do you watch these? You never laugh and seem bored throughout the videos...
