Another difficult version. Perhaps never really suited to a gameboy conversion. The terminators will drain your energy in an instant given the oportunity and i didnt notice any life pickups either.
That said, it was hard to see the pickups at all as they sort of just blend in. I cant imagine being able to play this on the actual hardware. The music is awful what there is of it and the audio bugs out in cyberdyne level.
The vehicle sections are abscent in this version. although the layout is kinda of different from all the other versions anyway. -

This game shows that where there is a will there’s a way. This game was fun in the school bus
I can't believe this went to the Gameboy - but it was a weird period of time where nearly everything went to the Gameboy as well as the other consoles.
The sound effects should be canon and used in future films
AVGN: It was even ported to the Game Boy. Now that's pathetic.
It surely is!
why doesnt the person playing use the grenade launcher on the buildings or scenery, extra lives in some!
I was never able to get past the first boss hahahaha good ol times! xD
For a Game Boy game, this is not bad at all. I enjoy this a lot.
28 years later I see the final Level
The gun sound is like the one of a driller in a construction site!
love the music on this. such nostalgia
The Game Boy version of T2: The Arcade Game also uses some music from the 1988 arcade game Narc.
It'll be cool if this game came out also on NES back in the day in color. Should be great.
it should have been made for NES. Sega Mater system is 8 bit as well and they got it
@@machinegun3133 indeed!
how did you got it to play in pea green?
Very difficult game! Never got past Cyberdyne as a lad...
I beat it took an hour
@@Godzillafan1980 Oh it's definitely possible, as seen here...might hafta revisit it soon. Been a good 26 years
i always thought of the gameboy as a portable zx spectrum.. same sounds/graphics
Your future, is what you make it...Great gaming!
Wasn't that bad of a game, Tbh. LJN and beam software made way worse games than this one. It was hard, but beatable, I beat it finally when I was 13, the hardest part was finding out how to kill the T-1000 in the end. If he reached Connor = game over.
I haver this original game card on my GB and it's really bad to see the enemies on the screen. The graphics design is terrible.
The sound effects remind me of the Atari 2600.
i was a little kid when i play this game, it was my dad's BG, i never got to pass the first level, the big machine was always kicking my ass, and never never got to see what was the next level or the last, now i see how it ends, thanks
dimas rodriguez same here
"The home consoles tried to take advantage of it with the Super Scope and the Sega Menacer, but the only real way to play it was in the arcade. It was even ported on Game Boy. Now, _that_ is pathetic." - The Nerd, Angry Video Game Nerd Episode 71: _"Terminator 2"._
good ol LJN
The sprite flickering as more than four animated game entities pop on screen belies the horrible, horrible things that may be occurring under the hood...
I thought the backgrounds were well done
This game has two unused music tracks, which are from the arcade game NARC. Maybe reminiscents of a cancelled port? Also they differ from the ones seen in the NES port of the game, which was handled by different developers and publishers, so they can't have been taken from there I believe
I don't get why people rag on this game.
Completed it numerous times, never had any of the problems you think you have.
You didn't 'notice' the power ups as, like the original arcade game you have to blow up walls, buildings, and other scenery to find them...which you barely did.
The audio bugging doesn't exist on my (cart, not rom) version.
The only thing about this game is how hard it is, and surely that makes the game good...being a challenge...right?
I find that a lot of games get unfairly ragged on by people riding James 'AVGN' Rolfe's coat tails.
Now that's pathetic. - AVGN
Both units carolco distribution but is that studiocanal
Sounds like their fucking drilling next door.
Good old year 199F
I have the actual GB game of this. Everything blends in with the background half the time, and the enemies damage you hardcore in little time if you're not careful. I've never actually beat this game.
(2020) but omg I remember playing this lol 😂😭😭
I like the Intro soundtrack
I was stuck at the boss at 3:53. I spent hours clicking and shooting everywhere, but it was continuing spawning bombs. I'm sure my game was buggy.
Fair play for them getting this to Game Boy. A shame the backgrounds are static though. Would have put more depth to the game if they had some parallax scrolling in there.
yess indeed lee, look im 9 years late but i agree with the parallax statement
does anyone have the game boy version of the music in the credits in this video
Unfortunately, no.
'that's desperate' - Avgn
John Connor:
( Hands cartridge to the T-800 )
"Will this melt too?"
T-800:
( Snatches the game from John's hand )
"Yes!"
( T-800 throws the game hard into the molten steel )
When things drops in the final boss section... that never happened to me.
T2: The Arcade Game is very similar to The Punisher: The Ultimate Payback for Game Boy. The Game Boy version of this game, is set up just like its coin-operated predeccesor. It really looks like NES, and also they took the Sega Genesis version.
"Get" Young John Connor...
Damn pansy nintendo censorship!
Imagen holding a lightgun up to a gameboy.
hard bloody game this one for the gameboy could never get past level 2 i still have this for the gameboy trying to find pickups is hard as hell overall i give this 5 out of 10 not one i play too often
LJN. One of the most hated game designers along with DDI.
is this made by ljn?
based on how the game starts, i thought you played as the machines. it wasn't until he started shooting the flying machines that i realized you play as the humans.
You are playing as Arnold's T-800 Terminator not as a human
@@heywasgood1612 thank you for clearing that up
Oh god Beam.
Dieses Spiel hatte ich mir auch für Game Boy geholt.
うますぎ
The shoulda put this on nes and added a little music.
they're not so bad, considering that they developed both the NES and Game Boy versions of The Punisher (which i must say is a decent LJN game).
Without music wtf
I just used to fanny around with this game and pretend the gameboy was a hand gun.
Do the people hating this game realize that they took out the truck and SWAT van levels?
Yeah
some games should never exist and this is a prime example p u lol
@woooudo i like it
I completed this game multiple times, easy as pie
Seeing some comments here sadden me. This was how I gamed back then. Nowadays, I am now playing The Witcher 3, Final Fantasy XII, and even an arcade version of Street Fighter 3 Third Strike (30th Anniversary) on the Nintendo Switch on the go. I'd love to send those to my young self, but then I wouldn't trust myself with a secret from the future.
No music just silent gameplay.
Looks alright, but some idiot apparently thought good sounds and music weren't important.
Та гарна гра що ви
Can't believe I'm saying this but I think I'd rather play GB Mortal Kombat than this.

My cousin had this game. It was awful.
Most likly VBA its the most popular

I beat this shitty game when I was a kid.

Sound is about as good as Atari 2600

T2 the arcade game has the worst designs by LJN...I need to beat this game and not keeping it again! LJN is already history for making the worst games!
It was not LJN that made the arcade game. It was Midway. There are very very few games based on movies that are any good. But T2 Arcade is probably one of the best movie games of all time. The feedback, the gun, the excitement, the levels, etc. It even included terminator machines and ideas that James Cameron didn't have time or budget to put into the movie. Its granted that LJN makes crap. But thats for consoles. Read about T2 arcade for yourself. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminator_2:_Judgment_Day_%28arcade_game%29
Thanks for sharing me some info for the Terminator 2 arcade...but I just never get to see the second except for terminator 1 on G4tv "movies that don't suck".
...wait a minute, it was Beam Software??? I thought it was LJN for some matter I looked at the GB cartridge at the front.
+Dragon Izu Yeah. They published the game.
iwoonnaaaasaggttneinnnn
Weirdest game ever made.
Looks boring.
Terrible.
