Greg explaining how the Xbox store ecosystem works but for PS5 like a new idea got me good. I discover so many wild and cool games on my XB because of the random suggestions they reccomend me.
What Greg says about reframing profit margin estimates within the gaming industry is such a challenge in this stage of capitalism. Shareholders won’t accept a reduction in their dividends even if it still is strong year-over-year ROI. But I wish that could be brought to heel again because infinite growth rot is leading to so many of these high-budget flops.
At the AA production cost games can afford to take more creative risks. Imagine a world where instead of Ubisoft making Assassins Creed Shadows which likely has a budget higher than 500million (based off of Odysseys budget) they made a AA Samurai game, a new Rayman and a new Splinter cell. all for under 150m each Im not saying NO to AAA but it should be far rarer, as it stands non indie games all feel the same
Space Marines 2 is AAA. I understand why Greg keeps saying it’s AA. Saber typically produces AA size games. The first Space Marine was definitely a AA game. But Space Marine 2 is AAA by every metric: critical reception, budget, graphics, amount of content, sales, player base, etc. I think this is kind of a Baldur’s Gate 3 situation. BG3 released as a AAA game and now we consider Larian a AAA studio where most didn’t before. I would say the same of Saber now.
They also blame genre or game 'x' for failing in a specific timespace, and that does not logically follow that it would always fail. I think gamrs like Resistance x Killzone, would do better in todays space than in the past, and it does not count if they dont put in the effort, and it fails for being bad, not necessarily the ip.
Is baffling to me people have been waiting on GTA6 for years and the memes and the jokes don’t stop like “we got x before GTA6” like dude it’s just gonna be the same live service game why are you waiting for it? We get games that aren’t live service and they are considered trash? I’m guessing that’s what they meant with “small games” because space marines 2 it’s no at all a small game.
I'm not a Warhammer fan, but Space Marine 2 looks like and plays like a AAA game. What's probably giving you the perception of it being a AA game falls on the publisher. Focus Entertainment is nowhere in the class of EA, Ubisoft or Activision when it comes to marketing.
“I don’t think a PlayStation player is a Concord player”. Man nobody was a Concord player. Also nobody browses the stores on console anymore because it’s so bloated with utter garbage. You have to sift through so much junk, just to find the good stuff.
$100+ for a game that has less content than day 1 gears 3 on the 360 😂 these clowns are telling you thats what we need more of 😂 i cant with this gaming community nowadays

In what world is Spacemarine 2 a small game. Multiple sources have reported it having a AAA budget.

Well it’s not a live service, I guess that’s what he meant maybe.
It's 9 and 1/2 hours long what are you talking about?
@@nateg452 bruh if space marine 2 is small because of that, what’s CoD, a midget?
@nateg452 and has coop and mp modes that get post launch content
@@nateg452 It's not a story only game though. It has co-op and pvp as well. And presentation wise, the game is certainly up there.
