I actually liked the first guys melody the best but his singing wasn't the greatest but that probably also because it's not mixed or anything
It wasn't because it wasn't mixed or anything. It was sharp or flat about a third of the time. No one should consider themself a singer if they can't stay on tune without pitch correction, especially in a situation where multiple takes are allowed.

I didn't really mind his rendition/voice, it's just that, for me, he sounded...kinda tired? Like, he's forcing himself to look like he's vibing for the sake of doing the job right, but then he actually had a bad day or something so it leaked a bit into his actual performance somehow. That's just what I think...so when the next one sang and had a bit more energy, I pretty much reacted like Roomie.

The one critique of roomie I’ve always had was I thought his pronunciation was off when he’s singing. But it’s not down to his accent, he talks without that off pronunciation he seems to do it as a stylistic choice.

Yeah, his English is really good and he doesn't have too much of an accent, but when he sings I agree that it does sound over American-ized. I think with less of Drake's style of pronunciation, (kind of mumbling) his take at the end would have been even better.
I also agree. And kinda glad Someone explained why it might be as I didn't realise it was a style thing lol. Love everything else about his singing and style though, but sometimes without reading the subtitles I misunderstand what word he's singing at time.. but also when I learnt singing when I was young pronunciation was a huge part of what we learnt and you HAD to say the last syllable of a word with a big oomph to avoid this happening because words and syllables can blend together otherwise, so I didn't actually again realise it was a style hmm.

I feel like Roomie always sings with a weird pronunciation, almost like he is doing it with like pouty lips or marshmallows in this mouth, and it may be a stylistic choice, but I personally believe it makes him sound worse.

For me i like the first artist thou its not produce and studio treated but i takes raw talent to pull up a nice calm voice. The second one is like sia style of singing where shes eating the lyrics but also great. The third one i think it's so drowned with reverb thou it matches some 80s vibes i didn't find it that good. The last one can be good but it takes so much autotune. Its like tpain on a steroids. Pop nowdays really incorporate autotune but not that much. Then your version, I'm pretty speechless. Now i see the advantage of a song writer who sings his own word. Good content love it roomie
I genuinely enjoyed the fourth singers voice and I think given more direction on a song he could create some amazing work.
