Great speed run. I haven't even had my EXB to full throttle as of yet. It runs great at the BMX Track. Launches awesome. Cant wait for my Losi Eight T XE kit to deliver towards the beginning next month. It is a kit that you have to build. You might want to look into this RC also. The performance and handling is amazing. Fun video, and look forward to the next video.
This is awesome, that esc motor combo seems perfect! I want an EXB, maybe a mojave EXB since I have a kraton 6s v4 but I'm not sure 🙃🤔🤔. I've never owned a short course truck before but I saw the pounding that yall gave it😎
I'm currently rebuilding my Traxxas xo1 and I'm going to have a max6 esc with a 1650 kv motor with a rc version of launch control and 34/46 gearing at least to start with before I go all crazy with the gearing
Had to watch this video again to see what pinion gear you guys are using on the exb. That speed is pretty for going off road. Now you gotta get the traxxas X-01for your next speed run.
Awesome and entertaining video as always! I can't draw so this contest isn't for me but I noticed you have a bit of exposed wire on your LiPo connectors I would highly recommend getting some heat shrink over it. Batteries are expensive and you don't want to accidentally fry them.
How are you powering the fans? If they’re going into the receiver, do you need a 3 Channel one? If no. I’d still like to know which receiver you guys are using. Thanks👍🏼

Hello, Did you need to modify the cooling fan to clear the roll cage mounting? I also have the Kraton exb with al Max 6 and 1650 kv but the rollcage mount is in the way.
Great video guys. I think you can make this one go a bit faster ... Well a lot faster! I've seen a Kraton blast through 100Mph. But once you get to the bleeding edge, small gains come at huge cost in terms of effort and equipment! But, TBQH you've probably made the biggest gains with the motor and esc (Fans, heat sinks, motor power etc) and from now on it's probably just piles of pain for each small gain :( Tyres will become an issue and once you top 100Mph, aerodynamics start to be your limiting factor. But if speed is what you want ... then the answer is ... Yes! It can! But, it is a master basher and built to take punishment! Keep up the good work :)

I love hearing this thing move...it almost sounds like a TIE-fighter as it passes hahaha....also, and this is purely personal, I love watching it squat and dive under accelleration/breaking. For something this big and heavy it's deffinitely quick, the question is, will you leave this as is, or go chasing more speed? Also, I think you should chuck a few cones out and have an outdoor race bash - think rally-cross. You've got smooth tarmac/concrete and the off-road stuff with grass, dirt etc...great video as always both 👏👏👌 I have the artistic talent of wooden post 🤣 so think its best for all concerned if I let the pros submit their artworks ...looking forward to seeing what you end up going with in the end. I'm running a 24tooth on my Kraton EXB with the Castle 1650kv and it's scary fast! Not running any motor fans yet as I haven't been able to really test the capability . I did however hit 66mph on a short run today before the pinion gear came loose. I have a feeling with a long enough run it is a 75+mph vehicle, but to be honest that's too fast for this vehicle esp on stock tires. I'm probably going to put a 21T on it and call it a day. With a 19t I was only hitting 50mph and my goal is max 65mph

I mean you guys aren't ugly :) and really the most interesting duo (husband and wife) in our hobbies... Maybe a black and white outline of you two with the famous speed run move (the one amber loves at the intro, lol). Maybe she should have a "your crazy" look going on... That d be dope!! Or a caption that simply says CAUSE WE SMART 🤓

My exb rear diff exploaded. Not a fan of Arma anymore. Should have got an XMAX. Edit: My rear input gear has a lot of play in it. I can move it in and out essentially pushing it deeper or away from the ring gear. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

You should be able to do a 23 or 24 tooth. I have a hobby star 1600 kv and I am running a 23t with low temps also. Go for it!

You need some sort of wheeled carrying system like an ice hockey bag to carry your RC all over.
I used to play ice & in-line hockey! Never thought of using a hockey bag! Great idea 😊 -Amber

I bash my kraton exb using same max6 system without any motor fan with 17t pinion. It runs so cool. Never overheats 👍.

Really 67mph on a 17t pinion?! On mine with the 1650kv motor and 19t pinion it's only topping out at 50mph.

It's a known issue with the EXB's. Horizon will replace it for free.
Only first batch has this problem, second batch everything is solved
