Wow I really want to be an established nail tech but it's so expensive to start. I been working so hard at it lol I can't wait to get more people to be as good as Tah. My friends have been allowing me to work on them for free just to practice but it's so expensive to begin. today my nail drill broke and i'm so depressed because i'm unemployed and i want to do nails but i will have to wait about a month to buy my drill. Your videos continue to inspire me so much i hope you never stop posting
It is expensive! I recommend going on Amazon ! You really only have to start with a few products! You don’t need a whole collection! It’s good that your friends allow you to practice on them! I wish you the best babes ! I appreciate you so much!
I love when y'all talk and interact with us I'm not really into the videos where it's just music the whole time also I love learning different things from everyone so I definitely enjoy watching videos where there's actual talking
You're always very informative about being a nail tech or a licensed manicurist (im learning, lol). Never feel like you are babbling on in your videos. I learned a lot to pass on to my daughter listening to you and watching you grow. You are giving real life experiences, and that's as genuine as they come. Love your videos. Keep teaching us the ropes. That's what makes licensed nail manicurist like you gravitate to viewers like us. Thank you ❤
I always loveee these videos from you, I feel like I learn so much. I remember the first few videos you put out when you had a few thousand subscribers. im so proud of you and keep up the good work, always putting us nail techs on! 💖
I’ve had this question for you! Returning clients like this one. Doesn’t she have a set on when she comes in? I mean cause this looks like new set. Do you just not show the removal or did she wait till she didn’t have a set on to come back? With the sets we do, long, dramatic, etc, …when my clients come back I have to do a removal/rebalance each time cause they want different sets. New years. Valentines like that. Adds like 45 min to the process. How do you plan/charge/execute this? ❤ 0:18
@@AYRIS721 would love that. I struggle with that each appointment. Not struggle…but they come in after 4-5 weeks and I rebalance but they always want totally different sets with colored acrylics. Black set, now they want pink. I have to remove and add about an hour to appt. Ik I can do nudes and gels but they don’t want that and I have and like to use colored acrylics anyway…Which we communicate about and both know about the cost and time and plan but yeah I’d love your advice on how you do it. What you charge and how you speed that up or plan sets so the pink is first then to brown or darker if that makes sense. But this makes appointments that could be 1.5-2 hours if they came in bare into 3 hours +. Which…I’m tired! 😂😂I love doing nails but that’s dragging me down a bit each set, each client. Anyway! Thx for answering and I’d love if you talked about that ❤️
Pt.2 !! Love hearing advice from youuu . Don’t ever sugar code anything, & I love that. What’s why I subscribed to youu 🫶🏾 Plus I take my state boards this Friday 🎉
I constantly compare myself to others work as well ! I’m a newly licensed nail tech and I work in a salon but I only do manicures and pedicures because my art isn’t great when it comes to acrylics. Don’t get me wrong i’m decent with acrylics but i hold myself back because i see all the other nail techs can do art and i can’t . So i’ve been working on practicing more and thinking positive . I don’t wanna cut myself short when the skill can be learned . but thank you for this video ! made me feel a lot better .
Thank you for the advice and keeping it real. That was real talk. I am a beginner learning how to become a nail tech. Yes we would love for you to do another real talk video. The Set is beautiful as always. Happy new year and God bless you and your family. ❤
Literally I’ve watched you for so long on my other channel. I remember when you said you don’t compare yourself to others and at the time I’ve had to unfollow people I was negatively comparing myself to, work on that and sit down to see what my style of doing nails is. Since being homeless with my kids for going on 13 months, I’m finally ready to take clients again by the end of this month. I’ve had to learn and work around my situation to get back up again, And start posting again
I did the same before! Started unfollowing people but I understand now 🩷 and yes Pleasse start Taking clients you won’t regret it!! Blessings to you and your family and start posting !
Maybe one day you can do a training class in Los Angeles love your videos! & i hope in part 2 you can maybe go more into depth about pricing?! I feel ready to take clients and idk how to go about pricing ! Love to hear any advice about beginner pricing and how to price add ons like designs or charms/stones ♥️
I have a question do you wipe the brush on the napkins while your adding acrylic to the nail to dry it or to be able to move it more easy I always wondered that
Do you have tips for doing nails in cold weather because I’m trying to practice and it’s damn near impossible. I’m extremely frustrated. No matter what I do my beads are runny and wet af. I added acetone to my monomer and it didn’t help either.
Discovered your videos today 🩷 I’m a new mom and my dream is to be a nail tech. This helps me believe it’s possible and not as hard as it looks :) the hard part is money for a license
Can you pls do a video on how you film and edit for yourself or a client? What kind of camera, stand, apps you use etc. I want to start creating content 🤍
I looooooove gel polish I started collecting colored acrylic but stopped I just like gel polish way better I actually have an obsession with gel polish lol I got a ridiculous amount of gels😂
It's not good to bring strangers into your personal space... I lost my favorite gold ring with diamonds while brining clients into my home 😢 so it's always better to have a business space

I got the young nails kit and it came with everything you’ll need to do nails. It was a little pricey but I believe they have payment plans
