Eurovision: Most recent Top 5 Result by Each Country

- For this video we are going as far back as we have to in order to find the most recent top 5 placing entry by each country! I ranked the countries by which one has achieved a top 5 placement most recently by year (and then by the actual placement). For the countries that haven't achieved a top 5 placement, I have included their highest placing entry and in case they achieved this place more than once then I chose the most recent one.
I have not included Yugoslavia or Serbia & Montenegro in this video.

If it's solely based on the placement, yeah it's nice that they had better result than 2 countries but if we added more comparison into it their result is tied with Andorra, in 1980 there was only 19 countries competed, but there was 42 countries participated in 2007 so it's another story.

So surprised to see Greece haven't had a top 5 in 15 (!) years. I remember Greece as one of those countries that always used to guarantee for the final in the semis, so I just assumed they had some top 5s in the 2010s, but thinking back I guess not!

Slovenia is the most underrated country. In my opinion, it has deserved to be in the top 5 seven times

I think the country with the most top 5's is United Kingdom, followed by France, and then Sweden. However, Sweden is the most "balanced" out of the 3, if we compare the XX and XXI century. The UK and France got an insane amount of top 5's in the XX century, but in this century each of them has reached 3 top 5's
@@xander2609 Yes, the UK and France had a lot of top 5 earlier on, while Sweden has had more later on. Being top 5, when there are about 40 countries in the competition is also a bit harder than when it's 10-20.

If it's 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 doesn't matter, it's the most recent one that counts.
