- Take a peek into the world of BattleBlock Theater. Having shipwrecked on a mysterious island you find yourself both betrayed by your best friend Hatty and captured by the locals. All of this is happening while being forced into deadly performances. This however, is just the start of your problems.
(This original trailer was released in 2010. The game has been improved and polished since then. BattleBlock Theater is set to release on April 3, 2013)

Behemoth is my jam- I met these guys Dan & Tom at Comicon back in 2008- awesome guys, bad-ass design, crazy creative.

Another musthave game by Behemoth and a truly epic trailer.
It's good to see 2-D games being revived in times of hyper-realistic 3-D graphics. I wish I had an xbox. However, it gives me great pleasure just to watch. I'd love you guys to remake Castlevania or Mario. Best wishes and good luck with all your plans!

cannot wait. Everything Behemoth has done so far has been top quality. Castle crashers is easily one of the best games on the 360, and I'm not just talking bout arcade games. Looking really good so far :)

For people asking, it will more then likely not be coming out for the ps3 anytime soon. This game is coming out on the 360 (maybe ps3, who knows), its being developed by behemoth (the folks behind alien hominid and castle crashers). There now you can stop asking the same questions.
I would give anything to be playing this game right now.

I cant help but wonder if the reason for the name "battleblock theater" was so they wouldnt have to change the environments from...you know....blocks.
Guys what I made a hatty hattington costume for comic con this year 25 people took a picture with me they were saying I was creative and my costume was amazing most people didn't know who I was but I hope they would one day anyways you might can tell that I love hatty he is the best and he is so freaking adorable and the music in battleblock theater is amazing I love the songs there I listen to it everyday and I didn't realize this at first but on comic con I said buckle your pants by accident XD but in comic con I felt like I was really hatty hattington and I made new friends thanks to the costume. I painted it and my brother glued the hat and made the box fit my head and battleblock theater is the best game of 2010-2017 best game in this whole world

@JammynLuca I could say the same thing to castle crashers "I don't see how this is fun, you just slash your sword back and forth?" It seems like this will be a great platformer.
I really wish the behemoth went with this more dark tone, and didn't scrap anything that was in this trailer.
If danpaladin, or anybody in the Behemoth staff is looking at this comment, i want to ask you if you can release more info on the older version of the game. I hope to hear back, one day. One day...

One funny thing is that one of those beta blocks made it into the final game but only in level editor. (And entering the finale if that counts)

@HellzAssassin Don't worry, at first Castle Crashers was Xbox only but later spread to PSN, and all DLC was free for us.
Hopefully with a good port this time around.

you know how you can play as alien hominid in castle crashers, while I wonder if you'll be able to play as one of the knights or alien hominid in battleblock I think that'd be cool

For now it is announced to be on the xbox,but they probably will release it on the pc in the future.
