Can you help? I use rotate tool but the smart guides did not show up so I end up missing the central point of the circle. Yours shown but mine is not I don't know why
Yes so follow these steps 1. Click on the tire shape and make 3 copies. CMD C and CMD F (twice) 2. Move the top shape to the right 3. Select the top 2 shapes and use the shape builder tool 4. Delete the shapes while holding "option" on your keyboard 5. Keep the shape you want the shadow to be!

Im having trouble creating a wheel without the entire thing filling out, the entire circle is red instead of the outlike being read and the inside of a circle being blank, my dumbass teacher didn't respond to my email when I asked her about this...

*you can do the math inside the *Rotate Option box, example: 360/6 - Pretty cool!

When I add the shapes in the shape builder tool, it ruins my outlines. Looks like it adds extra stroke. Anyone know why this could happen?

I am not able to copy by clicking Cntrl + D on my laptop
Once you clicked "Copy" in the rotate tool properties. Don't touch anything and just do CMD/CTRL D. It should work :)
