Michael's story is incredibly powerful. It was an honor to contribute to telling it and assisting in the recovery of his truck and tools. Thank you, Jacob, for featuring our video! Can't wait to Collab in the future!
Thanks Chaos Divers, Nick Rinn, Josh Cantu, and Devon Carroll for helping Michael share his story. Michael's story pulled at my heart strings and this is why I choose to support.
I really genuinely hate the “suicide is selfish,“ BS. Selfish people generally want something to improve or benefits them. I don’t know if choosing not to exist is either of those and in their mind, nobody wants them around. Ultimate misguided act of selflessness in my opinion. It’s a chemical imbalance! That’s it!
A lot of people are lost and scared in that moment. They aren't themselves. They just feel a type of way that can't be explained. Mental illness is very real. Words of advice, if going to therapy don't seem to help, go to a different therapist. Stay safe. We are all here for a reason. Life isn't easy, but it doesn't have to be bad.
I watched Nick's video of Michael last night...Just remember you're loved more than you think, needed more than you think, someone cares about you more than you think Keep pushing! Talk to someone! You are loved & needed
Dear Chaos Divers ❣️ I watched Nicks channel and first of all, thanks to you for reaching out to Nick & Josh to help Mike. The entire video was fantastic freakin tastic. It was filmed beautifully.. It was respectful in speaking about unaliveing which is such an important topic that so many are suffering from, I hope this generates some thinking from some super smart UA-camrs, capable of getting a community together to talk mental struggles and find some solutions. Anyhow, keep diving it’s not worth it to stop. Thank you all for what you do….AMAZING❣️❣️❣️
I think I was really lucky the day I found your channel. I was on dialysis for 17 years and there was many days where I wondered if I was better off not being here and not being a burden on my children watching you and Lindsay and Doug and Nick and Josh help me realize that there was a future and October 21st. I got a kidney transplant and I think you folks help me. I've watched every video I can find of you folks. Your job is got to be one of the most stressful jobs there is I can't say enough about all the good things you do. There's just so much I want to say but I don't know how to put it in words. Thank you so much for being there you all take care of yourselves❤ sorry if I miss anyone memory is not the greatest
Jacob that video couldn't come at a better time I just went got help cause I wanted hurt myself because of over weldemed with everything going on in my life didn't think anyone carried please thank guys who put that documentary out I was in tears listening I see yur crew really cares glad call yu and Lindsay friends please pray for my strength in future things get put in my way show people care😢
@JoshCantu thanks Josh for what yu do I was feeling low watching that video made me think I started getting help for my drepression and anxiety problems this past month please remember to cheer me on so I look to get better
I was in the same boat as him. That drawing I submitted, the car in that was modeled after my car. It was my way of saying thank you for showing me people care. Depression has an awful way of warping how you think. Be careful calling it selfish, not because it is or isn’t, but because that thought quickly turns to “I am selfish I am bad I am not worth life” there’s a lot of shame that pushes people to the edge. I’m doing much better now, it’s still a fight, but I’m better, and in a much better living situation. These videos help a lot, seeing complete strangers that care really helps. Keep on kicking guys, it’s not worth it to stop. (You’ll have to all put up with me being here on earth with the rest of y’all 😉)
I've already watched Nick's video on UA-cam. The story and how he realised before it was too late that he had a family, 2 girls to look after and see them grow up is worth fighting for. Awesome video, my heart goes out to Michael and his family and I hope he is able to see a mental therapist very soon to help him find new ways of managing his mental well-being. Sending Positive vibes energy and blessings to everyone with love from Lincolnshire UK 🇬🇧💜🤗🙏
Thank you Jacob. For featuring Michael's story. For being the caring Jacob we have come to love and respect. For contacting Nick. I saw the video when he posted it and have been subscribed for some time. Josh did an amazing job on the video as did Devon. I am grateful that they got Michael's truck out of the water and retrieved his tool box and tools. Michael's story is powerful and extremely important. People need to see it.
I will watch that, thank you for spreading the message as it may save someone. We had a call years ago where a young man had drove into the water, and called his mother. Before we could find where he went in, it was too late. Another young man drove into the water and within 20 minutes was pulled out of the cold water, we brought him back and his mother was able to say goodbye at the hospital. Nick's video is so needed! The goal is no more recovories necessary, but thanks for doing what you all do, love you guys, stay safe! 💙
It is an amazing story! One with happy endings and Mike was very brave to tell it. Jacob, thanks for passing it on to the guys in Cali, and thanks to Nick, Josh and Devin for helping Mike. You are all heroes.
I have thought about it a lot but I can't and will never do it. I love my mum way too much and my daughter is my world. I could never do it. I have a great doctor. I could never ever thank her enough. I hope everyone watching this vid will help you guys to not go searching for families. Just stop and think and ask someone. Love you Jacob and britt. And all you divers. All the best fro. Aberdeen 🏴. Xxx
I might sound cold but I mean that bud just talk to someone as it saves all you guys time searching. I can't dive anymore due to my bloods.ect it's he'll just now but I can not or will never do that my family come first.!! Like I say just lift a phone someone will listen and you will find help. God bless you Jacob and team. From aberdeen 🏴. Xx
This made me cry…seriously. My best friend took his life in 2011, we had no idea he was in a dark place because he was always so happy go lucky. He left behind his young daughter, and a lot of friends who to this day, are still grieving the loss of his life. Many of us are struggling with mental health, supportive people and people who won’t scoff at mental health are so valuable. There are people who love you and care. Even strangers. THANK YOU, JACOB, for this important video. I will check out Nick’s video because you guys have made a direct difference in our family, and you will always be family to us. I admire anyone doing great things for families. Much love to you, Josh Cantu, Lindsey, ALL Y’ALL.
I did a video not long ago about how the devil lied to me and almost got me to itake my life when I was a teenager by the grace and mercy and love and compassion of God i still here 44 almost 45 yrs later much love and God bless...
I have watched as you started this crazy journey. Seeing Lindsey join as you embarked across the country in service helping families you have never met. I have seen the roller-coaster of emotions that you all face from one case to the next. I say all of that, as Michael reminded each of us how important each one of is. Thanks for Michael's story with us.
Hi Jacob watched nicks video just want to say all you guys are amazing human beings ,so glad Michael is alive and well to tell his story and realised life had so much more to offer ,I’m super proud of all of you what an amazing team of people you all are nick ,josh , Devon ,amazing video that surely touched many peoples hearts including mine , thanks chaos divers for reaching out to them can’t praise you all enough and yeah Michael we all love you man and are so glad you are with us all , I wish you the very best and all the love from here in Scotland take care and god bless you all ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
I'm so glad he made it out!! Ik doesn't go with his story but the shirt you have on is in my backyard sorta lol I'm from Northern Kentucky... Someone was watching over him sending love and prayers to his family and friends ❤️ 🙏
It’s a blessing to be alive. We are all born to live. Thank you for posting this to support your incredible friends! I’m proud of all of you! Your message is always needed for someone! Love ya all! ❤️
Thank you Jacob for sharing Michael's story. Dive safe!! Your friend, the Retired Paramedic, and an S&R Dog and Handler Team Trainer and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
I watched Nick’s video and it was amazing. Michael got a second chance at life and not many do. Before anyone decides there’s no other option please stop and think just for a moment is it worth it? The answer will always be NO because there’s always someone out there that cares about you. You may not even know their name but someone cares.
Hugs Jacob, they all need to realize how much pain they will leave in those behind who love them... there is hope, there is help, there is love. more than they realize... I used to work as a death investigator.. the ones left always reacted with the same HOrror and self blame..
I watched it the other day and it is an amazing story of Michael's journey through a heart retching time. I am so glad that he decided to stay here with his beautiful family and friends! There is always someone who will listen when the weight of life gets to heavy to carry! With this being said, love to all 🙏❤️🙏
Retired small town emt, where everyone knows everyone else. I worked 3 self unalivings. The immense sadness of the family when we told them was indescribable. You mention feeling anger, the how could you feeling. The feelings first responders go through is nothing to what the family feels.
My prayers are with him. Please get help so you could understand what is going on in your life…..I too almost committed to end my life, but in the end I could not do it… I was depressed and unhappy. I got a lot of help ….i changed too……
I hear you on that... Been suffering from depression for years, tried taking my own life 4 years ago.. Am still here as I guess God didn't think it was my time, still going to therapy, no longer feeling suicidal, just take each day as it comes it's a process but together we both can get there, take care and stay blessed 🙏💯
Youre very kind Jacob and i know you mean well . But theres a bit of judgement on people here mate, thats not reasonable. --by saying its selfish is however it is half the story. Remember 9/11 -(like we would forget) - well, did you see the footage of the people who jumped? They jumped because the pain caused by the heat of the fire was unbearable. Not because they were‘selfish’- unless you call removing yourself from being burned alive‘selfish’. People who attempt to end their lives are often simply trying to stop an unbearable pain. A pain that they have been bearing for months or even sometimes decades. Its like if someone were tearing off tour skin with no anaesthetic, right? Your nerves exposed. But -it doesn’t stop. Torture. Hopelessness. Imagine that for a second. Well try- if course its hard, but think of physical torture by a evil torturer . Ok. Would knowing people love you stop the torturer? Of course not. That makes no sense. The people who jumped from the Twin Towers on 9/11 would have been devastated because they knew they were leaving people they loved, and who lived them. The two things aren’t related, Jacob. And i know that the emotionalised appeal and shaming of telling someone- (who is currently being tortured)- that, on top of enduring the torture, that they’re also selfish to want it to stop, of course turns up the volume of the torture. I’ve heard people who haven’t experienced the kind of mental pain that causes a person to suicide, speak of how it’s selfish and don’t do it. But can’t you see the obvious flaw in that thinking ? The realistic thinking would be: “gee it must be twenty times the mental pain I’ve felt because my pains haven’t led me to suicide”. Wouldn’t it? (And i have plenty of personal experience to back this up mate, though I won’t go into that here). Im still sticking with ya’s. Always have. Love watching and support you and Lindsay. All the best from Melbourne, mate (and I’m not writing this to put you down, Jacob- (I wouldn’t do that, because you’re dear to me)-but inly because its going public and I wrote it for that person (s) who may be watching, who has the idea already that they’re bad and to whom the idea that they’re selfish to even want to stop the pain may be the extra bit if self -derision that tips them over. And -as I mentioned- i come from experience, mate. Cheers
What You do is so hard, so depressing and so sad. Because every successful search has a sadness in it. But the reward for the families are so huge. They get answers and a grave to visit. They get certainty and hopefully also closure. Thank You all for what You do. ❤️🇳🇴
So glad that he changed his mind. Thank you for everything that you do. Don’t forget to love yourself and take it easy during your downtime. I hope you are managing to relax and regroup during some downtime
This story was truly inspirational. I hope that this message reaches out to everyone who needs it. This community can be a resource to reach to as well. This is a caring group of people.
Such an amazing story, but still breaks my heart..... Several years ago I lost a special nephew, his wife left him because she found "someone new" and he lost all hope, he left two beautiful daughters behind... All he ever wanted all his life was a family, and he thought he lost that one thing, he didn't realize the rest of us loved him so much. 😭
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story and highlighting the work of Nick and Josh and others. (It's funny, before I found videos of this powerful and beautiful movement, I had never even thought of people ending their lives by driving into water. Hopefully this incredible true story will help some decide that is not the answer).
It was an awesome video, and no one can ever say thank you enough. And to Micheal for telling his story. It took a lot of courage. Someone will see it and it will change their life. Stay strong and keep up the good fight.
Due to my Reactive Attachment Disorder, I think I'd be perfect for this. One of the very few people I ever was able to bond with was murdered almost 6 years ago. I've wanted to take myself out over 1000 times. I go on for my youngest daughter, my grandson, and my oldest daughter in that order. As you know, I'm always here to talk to someone, no judgement.
I'm glad he did not go through with it, but I wish people would stop saying suicide is taking the easy way out. David even said it was scary as hell. Suicide is a traumatic experience for anyone who goes through it, whether they commit to it or not. So if anyone thinks putting their life in their hands is easy then they are a fool. May God have mercy on all those that are driven to that point and may He forgive those who go through with it.❤ I'm sorry Jacob, I have a lot of respect for you, but this one I know. Keep up the amazing work Love the show Love you two ❤!
Dude we love you please don’t swat at 🐝 bees they will come up and verify you aren’t a food source. If you swat it now the critter thinks you’re a threat.
I know what he and his family are going through. My younger sister decided she didn’t want to live anymore. Her husband left her for her best friend, she had a wreck and broke 2 bones in her spine right at the neck. Thankfully, she didn’t achieve her goal. Personally, I think it’s a coward’s way out. Prayers for Michael and his family.
I don't like my life but could never do anything because I've been on the other side of suicide of my dad when I was 17 and know how it can affect those still living
I am sorry to break your bubble but not everyone has that somebody to turn to. Not all of us have our families any more. That said... Opting out should never be the choice that anyone feels is their only choice.
Michael's story is incredibly powerful. It was an honor to contribute to telling it and assisting in the recovery of his truck and tools. Thank you, Jacob, for featuring our video! Can't wait to Collab in the future!
Suicide is not selfish. If someone’s hit rock bottom they just want the mental torment to stop.
Thanks Chaos Divers, Nick Rinn, Josh Cantu, and Devon Carroll for helping Michael share his story. Michael's story pulled at my heart strings and this is why I choose to support.

thank you Michael ,for making the right choice for you and all who care for you.
Good evening Chaos
What You do is so hard, so depressing and so sad. Because every successful search has a sadness in it. But the reward for the families are so huge. They get answers and a grave to visit. They get certainty and hopefully also closure. Thank You all for what You do. ❤️🇳🇴

(It's funny, before I found videos of this powerful and beautiful movement, I had never even thought of people ending their lives by driving into water. Hopefully this incredible true story will help some decide that is not the answer).
i just watched nick's video. incredible story.
thank you for all you do. the impact on the lives of others is unmeasurable.

Thank you !! Love what your doing . We need more people to see something SAY something please !!
I watched it yesterday. Michael is so brave to share his story. Thank you to all who participated in this mission!
❤thank you for sharing!!!

Hey 👋 👋 👋
🙏🙏🙏❤❤
Dude we love you please don’t swat at 🐝 bees they will come up and verify you aren’t a food source. If you swat it now the critter thinks you’re a threat.
I know what he and his family are going through. My younger sister decided she didn’t want to live anymore. Her husband left her for her best friend, she had a wreck and broke 2 bones in her spine right at the neck.
Thankfully, she didn’t achieve her goal.
Personally, I think it’s a coward’s way out.
Prayers for Michael and his family.

Suicide is not an easy way out. Yes, they listen, but that doesn’t take our burdens away.
