People of NY got the politicians they deserve..... voting has consequences
Voting definitely has consequences, but for the rest of us normal people we're losing more and more of this country to their mismanagement and incompetence. We need to take back these areas and ensure these psychopaths never have the ability to govern again. Detroit was a warning to the country that is currently being repeated in San Francisco and small pockets all over the country.

This is not the first time Trump have conned banks though. He lied about his financial assets and earnings to secure a loan from Deutsche Bank in order to finance a large condo building in Chicago. Unsurprisingly, the project was a bust and his lenders were $460+ million (excluding fees and interest) in the hole. Obviously, Trump defaulted on the loan and being who he is even sued the bank. Trump managed to get a sweetheart deal by agreeing to pay back a fraction of the loan.
This is how Trump operates. and I am sure many other real estate developers do as well. It is about time they cracked down on it though.

When you apply for a loan using collateral, you go up with the price you value it at, and they give you a price that they value it at, and take the loan they offer you. He used the loan to buy new properties, exactly like everyone does and is taught in real estate. Trump did the exact thing any and everyone does in that field, the loans were paid in full, so nothing was lost, I still fail to see where the fraud was.

When I would take Amtrak to Vermont to visit a friend the train would usually lay over in NYC for a bit. You could either stay on the train,..or get out for about 1/2 hour to stretch your legs,..or get something to eat.
