    Aside from Adeleke, these aren’t great times….just saying. If these girls are 18, 19, 20, then realize that girls in US colleges (that will never go/be pros or Olympian’s) run 22 seconds almost every meet!

    • @orlandofoster4485
      @orlandofoster4485 3 роки тому +10

      1. Alot of those girls you say running faster goes to world juniors an run alot slower than times they run in US. eg Raine-Williams ran 22.46 at the 2018 NCAAs and went to world juniors and ran 22.97 to come second.
      2. Alot of these athletes dont have the same resources and competition us athletes have, they don't have NCAAs etc.
      3. Alot of these athletes goes world class and compete against world class Americans.
      4. Some of the top european athletes now (Dinah, Schippers etc) didn't run as fast as her at her age, but go on to dominate.
      So stop acting high and mighty.
      22.90 is a good time and could have place her on the US junior team.

      @@orlandofoster4485 Your comments are fair. I’ll give you that. But, I was NOT referring to Adeleke’s time. It’s a really good time actually. I expect an under 23, under 20 euro championship final to have a time like hers. BUT, I also expect more of the runners to be closer to 23 seconds flat. 23.50 for the 2nd place runner is not good. Duke university’s 3rd best runner can run this time, but she won’t even come close to a conference championship final, let alone an ncaa final. I just expect more from these runners, it’s a euro championship final!!
