China's bitterness towards Japan is laughable. I mean, I totally understand where it comes from but to pretend for other countries to choose one or another is rather pathetic and borderline obsessive especially considering that this was a USA-Russia-China topic and Japan had nothing to do with it so I don't see why Yuan even brought it up. The answer was so simple I still don't know why they even ask. China had this massive crush on the USSR and the USSR was USA's mortal enemy while Japan surrendered unconditionally to the US and in turn the USA introduced their capitalistic system and helped Japan boost its economy. China chose Communism, Japan chose America and America will never forget. While the USA made Latin American countries their rubbish bin, they turned Japan into their loyal and pampered lapdog and no pet owner could ever (and they should never) betray their faithful pooch.
Completely agree! America wanted to build a better relationship. Plus its not only Americans who have that image (what the chinese guy said) about China.
half your info is unsupported and almost pure opinion. I high suggest you read up on Harvard's cold war studies the did a few years back to get a better understanding of what really happened and then you'll realize how wrong you are.
I think China's resentment towards Japan goes beyond how Japan became more successful under the nuture and care of America. Look up the Nanjing Massacre and the war crimes that Japan has committed against China that to this day, they still refuse to admit to, censoring the history that they teach their children.
lovelaughsmile1000 Everyone plays saint against Japan for war crimes that yes, were terrible beyond explanation, but I don't see China admitting to all the shit they've done and are doing in Tibet either. Frankly, even if the Japanese government weren't censoring their wartime crimes they would still be behaving the same. I agree, it goes beyond Japan becoming more successful under America's wing: they're salty because this small island at the east they had looked down upon for centuries eventually managed to surpass them and kick their oh-so-glorious country's ass either at war or economically for over a hundred years. If the beef really were because of WWII only then ZY wouldn't have had a reason to be a complete dick to Takuya and later Yuta because it shouldn't be personal, right? I mean, Yuta even said that it was important for Japanese people to keep apologising for the past in his first episode and yet ZY was even meaner to him than to anyone else.
China claims many lands. They just want to claim as many territories as possible to show their power.. if there is a list of countries that have conflicts with China on the show, we would need a separate program for that 😂 Besides this show seems to be pretty European and American centric other than caring for its East Asian counterparts
LOL i just checked the internet it's stated there that the decision of UN ARBITRAL TRIBUNAL was in favor to Philippines. "FAKE PAID COURT?" I agree, it was like an argument between a girlfriend and boyfriend. I didn't think that what was asked on China's side was reasonable, if he really does not know the answers to his questions, I am shocked. I think it was just sarcasm tho. And I wish that the U.S. knew more about our history with Japan since WWII and Chinese government and dynamics in Eastern Asia so he could have clearly responded with the direct answers to China's representative's questions.
i find that USA representative so smart and the China man sarcastic. I hope chinese will wont be offended by this. I love China, they make things cheaper

I'm not a hater but Japanese people are more chill than Chinese people. Japanese more are kind of like Americans who are accepting and Japanese people are very intelligent. Not saying that Chinese people are bad or anything I like them but Japanese people are more understanding and are very intelligent in technology
If there's any Indonesian representative i think it will be hard to start talking about history... Because their question would be "why japan, usa and holland bullying us? (Attacks)" 😂 But we're good now😂👍. So don't take it seriously✌
and the chinese representative was coming in a little too strong on the american representative... he was grilling him and questioning him like he made the decisions himself to be allied with japan and become enemies with china... or like he works for the government and knows all the reasoning behind those decisions.
strategically its smart for America to have troops in every country to prevent war before it starts. why does America stick its noses in other countries problems though it's simple money and investments.
Prevent war??? That's funny . America only keeps going on wars getting conflicts to get uncontrolable destroying countries and then call their troups back
@@hasnaeatif4381 I didnt say it was right just smart stategically. How do you think America got to be so strong? uuyyy Chinese man is rude, but why? Why cut the tension, I wanted to know, this could be a good fight, but someone ruined it, protected to Japan, protected is not the adequate word
They cut it because this show isn’t supposed to be like the actual UN summit. It’s supposed to be a way to voice opinions on various topics, but not to have the tension and for away to get along. Or that’s how I perceive it
It's the angle. I'm guessing you're referring to the shot at 1:03. The Belgian flag (and Julian's name tag in which the flag is attached to) belongs to Julian who sits on the left side of Yuan (from Yuan's perspective). Yuan (the talking guy), who sits next to the German dude (Daniel) is Chinese so he wouldn't have a Nepalese flag.
"Non-Summit" is an English name of the show, most likely introduced by JTBC and/or the show itself. A more literal English translation of the show's name in Korean is "Abnormal Summit", which is used much more often by fans. There's probably no official English name as it's a domestic (Korean) program but I could be wrong.
The MC's know how to loose the tension...
