Awww what a little darling ! He’s getting stronger ! Wow … I have a deformed gecko too it’s got like a rosetted crest a few nobly skin tags on its body & a spine kink that I got from a breeder . It was only 3 grams at 6 months . I’ve started it on micro silkworms either dipped in Pangea or Rapashy calcium plus and it’s really picking up well now . Also it’s shedding like a champ which it didn’t do before the silkworms on its own . So I think their conditioning it skin better.

It just makes my horrible day go right out the window 😊 on a side note, I have a 4 yr old (I think), Female Crested Gecko, and ty google pics, a little bit over a year ago, a tiny adorable lil baby showed up! I raked through Google/ My gecko thread on Reddit, nothing!Mamma has had no contact any other Gecko - alone in her enclosure at the pet store as well! She has clutches almost every month, and nothing b4 or since! If anyone has heard anything about this, I'd absolutely love to have some info!! Absolute BEST BEST wishes Quasi !! We're all pulling 4 ya!!
YES!! Your crestie had what's called a partho baby! Parthenogenic animals are females who “clone” themselves and lay fertile eggs without being fertilized by a male. That's a special baby you have. Thank you so much for your comment. It does help to get an outside perspective!

I've been told possibly cloning, TBH it just sounded Sci Fi to me! 🤨 I had also been told there's no way, that she must've had, "male juice" from b4 we got her .. that they're known for being able to hold it for a long time, but I just knew it wasn't even possible! I will have to be on the lookout for others! But YEAH 😂 , I had a feeling that she wasn't your average Midget! I even kept her egg, and her very 1st shed, as I had to help her just a bit.... Tiny warm palm of my hand baths twice a day! She's absolutely perfect now, I actually am curious, she's hitting milestones in strides of her Mom! ( Mom is Digit , size of my finger when I brought her home, and I had been calling her nick names for a few years, so when her lil miracle came, she was named Midget! Although I still feel the momma should be the virgin Mary !!)
It’s such a shame reptile lovers have to put a little disclaimer everything they say “he loves XYZ”, yeaah we aren’t supposed to humanise them but in most cases it’s not harmful and it’s natural for us to do! We’re humans! So good to see him righting himself and holding his head up so strong!
Hi hun i heard you say he got a heat mat i have been told so many times before i felt i knew enough to start breeding that u should never use a heat mat as the gecko could burn it's self or worse so just wondering what heat mat u use and how u use it thanks in advance 😊 the lil guy is so cute and i think it is great and so beautiful what u are doing for the lil guy
I use an under the tank heater and connect that to a thermostat. I also keep a VERY close eye on it and check the temp with an actual heat gun multiple times a day to make sure nothing is malfunctioning. I use the ExoTerra and ZooMed under the tank heaters. You also have to make sure they are appropriately sized to the size of your enclosure. Most cresteds don't need a heater of any kind... unless, of course, your house is super cold.
