Just got mine about 3 weeks ago, got it in black and can honestly say one of the most comfiest and easiest bike to ride. Had a cb125f before and the Hornet it’s such an upgrade. Honestly if anyone wants one go for it!

Never a truer word spoken , who says you can’t have fun on a small capacity bike ! , I’ve had stupid power stuff all my life and usually 3 or 4 at once and normally do about 25k miles a year , I do use my bikes and I’m almost getting bored with power. As I class myself as a 60 year old teenager with Monkeybike’s , groms and benelli TNT’s , to have proper fun on , a hornet 500 would be a perfect halfway house and it’s a looker for the money , I’m tempted and it looks way better than the 750 🏍🏍👍👍

Just bought one (April 2024), exactly the one on this channel, in Thailand. It is nice. I used to ride Kawasaki Ninja ZX1000R, Harley 1200 Custom, Honda Forza 300cc scooter, and I prefer this as it is a balance between comfort and power. I feel the handlebar is a little wide for my arms at my 5'7" height; but it is not too bad. Biggest complaint I have is no storage space, unlike a scooter where you can store a lot under the flip-up seat.

Great review as always Mr. F. Really appreciated it!
Took a demo bike out for a couple of hours and I loved it!
Already have a 750 Hornet which is a great bike in many ways but the snatchy throttle and fuelling makes me nervous and I don't enjoy it much. Many say not a problem but sadly I'm one of the few that does.
Thought I'd try the 500 Hornet and I'm really impressed. Light, smooth, real world performance is more that adequate, comfy, nice ergonomics and I think she looks good. Perhaps a better bike for me although many would say this is the wrong way round: start with the 500 and go onto the 750. Your observations tally with my own. She is great fun but I think very manageable and confidence inspiring.

I love this kind of bike, I have had a Kawasaki z400 for 3years and still love it. Kawasaki have replaced it this year with a z500 which is pretty much the same bike, same power, weight, size, just a different dash and emissions ratings. I love the fact I can use all the power it has on a road. Great the hornet comes with Michelin road 6 fitted. I put them on my z400 and they transformed the handling.

I am rather fond of the 500c class - back in the day that would be considered a big (ish) bike and would be an end goal for a lot of riders. I had a cb500x a while ago and liked it but the engine wasn't steller - peppy enough and all that but was ultimately the reason I sold it. If they made this unit in a 270 degree crank I reckon that would be really good. Thanks for the great vid!

Did you find the 500 entertaining enough to be fun or does the 750 win on that aspect hands down?
