I like Kinky Curly Custard a lot and it only takes a little bit even in my coarse strands, its a miracle, keeps my hair very moisturized too. I think the fruit pectin is the reason. I made some using the same ingredients and it came out like a liquid as well. Not sure what happened but i did add quar gum, maybe thats why 🤷🏽♀️
Im trying it again today without the quar gum. Not sure if they had more ingredients and but put on the container 🙌🏾
I like their products too … simple ingredients … it could be the pectin amount . I used guar gum in this gel to supplement . Let me know how yours turns out
@@OceNatural So maybe to much or not enough? I used quar gum to but it was still runny, i still use it tho it still works good, more hold them anything. I tried it again told, raised the ph to 4.65 with sodium hydroxide (is that ok) and its thickening and geling up
@@nicolecoley911 it should be fine raising the ph . I find with guar gum it may take a day or so for final consistency . I used up to 2% in this formula
