Thanks 🤗 glad you liked it 👍 It is a nice tool making project for sure. I guess not having the core closed up like this in a Padlock can speed up the process quite a bit.
@@LockFumbler I'll definitely check out the ones you did on the other gens of this also. But that was really a great job picking that. Very impressive indeed!
Thanks 🤗 Glad I got it to work, I had quite a lot of failed tensioner builds 😁 Would love to see with what tensioner you end up 👍👍 Thanks for watching, Cheers 🍻
Great demonstration on picking the Smartkey Gen 3. They do look good with that very nicely designed jacket. Agreed that maybe a slightly thinner pick would be better to slip down the side of the core to manipulate the sidebar. Either way you did a good job. Great video LockFumbler 🙂👍🏻
Thanks 🤗 Hehe jacket is a fitting term 👌 it is very nice looking, for sure 👍 I was just bending up all the thin ones and tension wasn't great. Once i realized the thick one fits in there step by step it was super easy all of the sudden 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching, take care, Cheers 🍻
Zhe KIK'S should be much better to learn on 👌 i was really tempted to drill the core holder and slide the core out in order to see what I am actually doing.
Wow. My compliments, you did it 👍I think building the right tensioner is the primary task here. I have built 4 so far in different thicknesses, unfortunately none of them got me there. But your video may help me to get there. So, thanks for the informative video and all the best. Cheers 🍻
Thank you very much 🤗 Yeah i also had quite a few failed attempts of building a tensioner 😔 it is a bit tough since one cannot take out the core and see were one is poking around, Charles video really helped a lot to find the right path 👌
Very cool lock and great picking. So how much time did you spend on this lock? Did you try to pick it with settings for both of the keys? I guess depending on the bitting ot can be harder to pick.
Thanks 🤗 ah it was a bit on and off with that one, i tried too long with too weak tensioners in 0.4mm, but they always ended up bending 😔 Yeah i tried with both keys, picks very similar. Plus i also picked it where no key was working anymore, one can dislodge the key change mechanism and accidentally reset the whole thing 🤦♂️ oopsie...
You would need to pick it and turn 90 degrees. Then, you can push in the change tool in the little rectangular hole. Then, you can use a new key and lock it back up ✌️ I hope that makes sense 😁
You've explained that really well and now I'd love to try one someday! Great video!
Thanks 🤗 glad you liked it 👍

Super nice tips! I was struggling to find a way to tension it, but now i know :D
Glad you liked it 🤗 Very nice that it might help you out a bit to build the right tensioner 👍👍
Great job buddy, I'm inspired!!

Cool. I don't have any SmartKey padlocks, but I do have some KIK'S that I picked up to learn on.

@@LockFumbler it does make sense, but i don't know how to pick a lock. Thank you
@sensitivesteve5207 ah ok I see 🤔 maybe take it to a locksmith and see what they say?
