Your 1 millon percent right I think last year when you look at the finals he peeling his body trying to draw a foul but his improve fishing combined with all his other atrubites has turned him into a 2 way superstar
After last year's playoffs Tatum was criticized for just lunging at the hoop and throwing up junk thinking he would get the foul call. When he didn't get the calls, the shots were pretty bad. He came in this year with a mindset that he was going to the hoop to make the basket, and he added some muscle and strength so that he could make that shot even when he got hacked. This attitude has paid nice dividends throughout the year. Now, if he can rediscover his 3-pt shooting touch, he will be damn hard to stop. One that that is not often mentioned is that Tatum has now established a reputation as one of the league's best 4 or 5 players. In the NBA, that means that he gets the benefit of the doubt on most close calls. LeBron, Giannis, and Embid can just charge at the basket and expect good breaks. Tatum can now do the same.
@@Ironfangzu tatum is quite literally just lunging at the hoop knowing he is going to get the whistle now lmao. 13fga with 11ft at the half you wrote out this whole paragraph just to say tatum is just getting the bs whistle now
I’m laughing because the only thing I remember Tatum doing in game 6 was punching the camera that was following him after jimmy put the heat up by 1. Lucky for him his team carried him so he was able to be happy again
After that stupid game you know what difference is games 4 and 5 when tatum was main ball handler they looked really good, and then games 6 and 7 back to old habits. I was thinking they needed a ball dominant pg to keep ball out of jb and tatums hands, so they can just worry about getting to there spots, but I think they should work on tatum being the main ball handler next yr. I don't think blowing miami out in games 4 and 5 was an accident.
Great video, but I am so glad that the Celtics didn’t break that historical record of being the first to defeat a 3-0 deficit. If Boston played very good the first three games but still lost and then kicked it up to super amazing to win the next four, then I want that record to be broken. But the fact that Boston played like crap the first three games and then start playing like “normal” during games 4-5-6 That doesn’t scream like a team that deserves to break an unbroken record. Because let’s be real, most of those games in this series both teams were playing shitty basketball. Miami winning because Boston shooting 20% behind the arc. Replacing like the team that played amazing won the games, if I was the team that played the most horrible basketball lost the games. That’s why I did not want this record broken on that type of series. I want to see two teams rising up trying to be the best, not two teams avoiding to be the worst. These games are still frustratingly entertaining but not worth breaking a historical record. So I’m happy Miami finally won game seven to end the series even though Miami won because Boston shit the bed again. Great Series on who can play less shitty to win, Because overall that’s exactly what it was. Not a single game where both teams played excellent where one team just played slightly better to win. Nevertheless it was frustratingly entertaining basketball But not worth breaking an unbroken record.

Tatum is shooting 10% better from 2 compared to last playoffs. His improved finishing ability has turned him into a much better player.
Also added a consistent floater this season, worked wonders for his inside the arc scoring effectiveness.
