They released it because it fits a modified community of high modded diesel street trucks , big wheels , little tires, lifts , air bag lifts even. Etc. It's completely aimed an American specific marketplace

Texas has an absolute metric ton of these trucks. It's what you do here. You own a truck for work then get a second truck you make entirely useless for work... also you remove all forms of pollution control and your muffler. Can't have anyone else seeing, breathing, or hearing. (I think it's dumb as hell, but the dumb hillbillies here can't be saved.)

That truck is beautiful and 100% accurately represents the entire show pony mall-crawler truck scene. They love taking trucks and rendering them as useless as a commuter car in a mud drag lol. Not surprised it does nothing but cruise, cause that's all the real ones do too. It is perfect and is as useless an r/c as the mall-crawlers are to real trucks.
Just to be "that asshole" I'd slap drift wheels on it and try using it to drift... with a straight face. Anyone questions me just puff up and say "DO YOU EVEN LIFT?!" aggressively like that's somehow supposed to explain any of this. It'll be amazing... too bad I weigh less than 150lbs... it'll be fiiiiiiiine, right? 100%

i always bend the bodyclips with a plier. Hold them at the round end and press them on a hard surface untill the desired curvage.
Nice bit of cinematography! Lots of those shots with your distancing and backgrounds made this RC look like an "Actual lifted blinged out F-250" rolling down the street! Which I think we can all agree is the whole point of this truck and similar scale models! Well done!
I really hate seeing trucks like this on the road but I'm an 80's kid So it's what in. In the 2000'S I would probably buy it Looks cool
yeah, IMO the real life trucks look RETARDED......specially when they put low profile tires on with 20 series sidewalls......about as "cool" as a 4 x 4 corvette painted in general lee colours.
Totally not what I’m into, but I’ve definitely seen trucks rolling around like this on the road in Southern California. Lifted with the low profile tires. I kinda like that if I was into brodozers I could get a really scale one.

After watching this & other vids on the truck, you absolutely convinced me to buy an LC76 crawler.
As others have suggested, this model is aimed at a niche market in the U.S.
For the cost it still looks cheap & drives on pavement accordingly so. No lockers, road tyres, stiff shocks.
As stated, for the cost, the LC76 is way better value. A proper crawler & it has an interior!
I also tried emailing CEN racing about the F250 & my emails were rejected.

The link on top of the rear axle is a watts link, which functions the same as a panhard bar while keeping the axle centered. The simpler and cheaper panhard option causes the axle to shuttle side to side slightly, and that side to side motion increases with travel. The other alternative is to triangulate the upper links of the four link to center the axle.
The reason it is a double click on Ch3 is because the first click sends a signal HIGH, and the second sends a signal LOW. All LED kits I have seen only switch when they receive the HIGH signal. Another great video Phil.

I like the purple light the best.... Could possibly switch one of the front LEDs to the front door headlight and one of the back door tail lights little bit if wire and some soldering.... Bang customized

Hello Tomley, this is called a watts link It operates the same as a pan hard bar to keep the axle inline. Ford Crown Victoria's police interceptor is equipped with this is well.

3:19 that’s called a watt’s link. Used to use them in the mini truck scene, if I didn’t put one on a triangulated 4 link, it would be a 2 link with watts instead of a panhard bar to prevent axle shift while going through the stroke.

The only thing that they need is realistic running lights in the front headlights. Other than that, I don't think I've seen a more realistic kit. So awesome

The wheels are plenty big. It needs bigger tires, a little softer ride and some brushless power. Put a foc on there. Tha5s for all you do!

I used RedCat body clips so I don't lose them, video on my channel. You can also twist the end to make them easier to pull.
Francis said on his video that he's going to put a Hobby Wing motor in and larger tires.
We put LED strips on the Traxxas show truck with the upgraded brushless motor. I need to put that video up. If you put LEDs behind the body, make sure the paint doesn't show through. You can use chrome paint to reflect the light.

As cool as this truck looks, it's really unfortunate that they included such small wheels and tyres for the size of the vehicle. I still think it has potential as a great modding platform though.
Personally I'd try to upgrade the gearing, swap to a high-KV brushless and try to turn the thing into a wheelie/paddle truck monster. Price isn't terrible either, but being on disability I probably wont be grabbing one.

The wheel size is pretty scale. And as its not going to crawl no need for bigger tyres. I go mostly 1.55 wheels on my trail trucks as opposed to 1.9 or even 2.2

Sweet looking F-250. It has so much detail. The 450 is my favorite. The 250 body looks great but with the small tires and lift it looks terrible, IMHO. I sure wish Arrma or Traxxas would come up with a body like this but the side mirrors would probably not last too long bashing. I can see how this would be a very popular truck among people who actually own a full size ford truck.
Yes, they have found a cap in the market for sure. I have some plans for this one. Along with one of my F450’s 👌

Where I live 50% of the town owns V8 or even V10 full size trucks but they are mostly building contractors and farmers. Anyways it's so cool that you took the time to respond with all that your working on and with all the comments you get. I love your channel because it's big and you covers so many cars with accurate detail and mostly because you seem like such a humble person. Thanks again for sharing these trucks with us.
