They are one of a kind for sure!
Amazing. I think you're the first travel vloggers who did caving/spelunking videos. Having done a few, I think it requires strength, especially mental strength !! encouraging oneself to go through the claustrophobia and all other obstacles. Congrats !
Great Comment, Thanks for watching!
Bravo guys...
Thanks for watching!
Wow , really nice and scary adventure .. you are very brave family 👏🏻💪🏻
Haha, i think people underestimate kids!
While many tourists like to do youtube content on the cities, the foods, the street arts etc, you guys rock... doing the spelunking! What an adventure.
gotta keep the kids entertained somehow right..
haha

The boys are super adventurous
@@themothfamily yup.. I can see that..!! 😁
I went there when I was 10 and the cave was hugeeee. Me and my family walked & climbed stairs for almost an hour and the tour guide said we weren't even half way through yet. We decided to end it there and reverse back as we were all exhausted 😂. Gua Tempurung is such an underrated tourist spot & the Perak government must do more to promote it.
Yeah, its quite a trek
Your whole family is so adventurous! I was here before but quite some years already! I remembered our final part was under water if up to our chest level & we held our hand phones up near our heads!
Haha, it was quite an adventure
Been there about 6 years ago.. it was a great experience.. thanks for sharing 😁

Mantop bro 👍👍👍
I love how your boys took everything in their stride. Such brave and respectful boys!
It looks really fun for nature adventurers but it can be unpredictable and dangerous when the water level rises… anyway thanks for sharing this magical cave! 👍👏
Gua Tempurung seems like a very fun place for adventure. But locals believe Gua Tempurung is a "keras" area. "Keras" literally means hard but colloquially it means "place where lots of spirits reside". There's even a case of missing runner during a trail run event (Gopeng Ultra Trail Run) in 2019.
There're hundreds of other participants in the run but he just disappeared without any traces during the event. It's believed that he disappeared around Gua Tempurung area. Malaysia's Search and Rescue (SAR) team mounted an operation combing the whole area for more than a month but not a single clue was found. It's really bizarre, weird and can't be rationally explained.
Some people believe that he's being hidden by "orang bunian" (local supernatural beings) because not a single evidence or clue or trace found even though the SAR team has searched all nooks and corners of the whole area for more than a month. You can Google "missing man at Gua Tempurung trail run" to know more. There's even a forum to discuss the mysterious case with lots of theories being thrown in but the discussion is in Malay language.
But I believe even with the missing man case is still unresolved and left us with many questions, Gua Tempurung is safe for everyone to venture and explore as long as you have a professional guide with you and respect the place, honour the nature and abide the dos and don'ts of local customs when you are in the "keras" area.
Enjoy and explore Malaysia more! Love all your videos! Super awesome! Super fun and adventurous family! Love it!
'Keras' yes it means hard. As American slang will say, some 'hard ass spirits' reside around that area. Not only Gua Tempurung but also the rest of Malaysia as the rainforest are one of the oldest in the world (Australia's Daintree forest is oldest). Meaning if there are any spirits, they have been there for a very very long time. I wonder if the Australian aborogines have any tales to tell.
love all your videos and glad that you and your family shared such an adventure like this. also, nearby gua tempurung on the outskirts of Ipoh town, is gua tambun. climbing up to the middle level, you actually get to see cave drawings that have been dated back around 2000-3000 years. very few people know about this as well. it was discovered by british servicemen who were stationed nearby in the late 1950s.
oh really will need to check it out
Amazing cave advanture for the whole family. Thank you for sharing.
thanks for watching
The kids will have so many stories to share with their friends in Australia once you guys are back home. They are quite adventurous though.
fun adventure
Thank you!
Been there 30years ++ ago. Way before the stairs installed. Gua Tempurung, at that time was raw. Now opened to anyone. Glad I did it when I was young and still strong.
Your boys is brave.. Good on you mate. 👍🏽
thanks for watching
You guys are awesome!! As a Malaysian I have no idea at all the Gua Tempurung is so much fun and adventure..Malaysia tourism should promote more about our hidden gem! Great video guys and love it! Hey new subscriber here 👋
Oh, im so glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing track
It was so much fun!
1989 went to Gua Tempurung and Gua Kandu.
Oh wow
Wow, nice one!🎉
Thanks for watching!
Tempurung (tumb--poo--roong) means coconut shell
Oh awesome!
Wow Very scary
Now your children start creating memories for themselves here. Hope they are good one. And hope these memories will make them love this land. In a few more years you can do jungle tracking with them or something like that. But for now just do a safer relaxing adventure 1st. Hope the whole family have a safe and fun life here.☺️
Making core memories
Wow ... Amazing advanture..luv this kind of videos. Great job 👍.
Thanks for watching!
Sabàh n sarawak nice
Yep we love borneo
One of my all time favorites. I missed the Gardens at Gua Tempurung. But, there are also white water rafting and durian there!
I rather not take the small watery tunnel for my size (simillar to Jimmy) with half full and a helmet on as there is only a few breathing space with people in front and behind of me because there is safer passage beside it, a walking by passage. For me, the enclosed cave with 8 storey height roof is just awesome❤.
Great Perspective
guys you should go to Terengganu
Fuyoo! Epic adventure!
Thanks for watching!
Spelunking..that I can do. But if there are plenty of guano/bat droppings combined with cockroaches, that is a deal breaker. Well done!
Thanks for watching!
Your children had the best time of their lives.
They really did!
Used to track communist terrorist in and out of this system. Now its an adventure park. Interesting times.
Yeah, i did read that
R.E.S.P.E.C.T! 🇲🇾🤍
Another great cave complex is the mulu caves in sarawak.near miri. Unesco heritage site.
yep we are heading to that one
@Mitch's On The Horizon you Will have an awesome time.
@Mitch's On The Horizon an American expat went there Angela Carson. She stayed at the marriot mulu caves.
I have been there twice, when I was in my secondary, which before the ticket counter are set up. Just my classmates and our teacher.
Oh that would of been quite an adventure!
@@themothfamily we only explored places that we could safely reach, not those high spot, but the water tunnel was one of them we did.
Beware of another Tham Luang Cave accident...
If you wanted to cook your own food how economical is that? I can’t live on takeout. Please can you do a grocery shop episode thanks
hmm thats a good idea for a video
Do you still remember what Level is this?
The largest cave is Gua Niah in Sarawak.
So we have found out
I used to bring friends for hardest route caving here again and again. It was rm15 per head back then and the guide know I won't pay him if he try simpler route. 😂
haha
Bang cantik nama kat belkang, sembang langit😂😂😂
@@sitinorsyazwaniabdullah8092 hehe.. tahap tertinggi nie. :)
@@nkh1976 hahahaha terbaiklah bang...😂😂😂
Can you buy tickets when you get there or should you buy them online?
We bought them at the place when we turned up
Its advisable not to make a loud noise in the cave because you'll wake the bats. 🤣🤣 I love to enjoy the silence in the cave.. Congratulations.. to the boys..
This reminds me of 10yo of me crying in this cave
Haha i almost cried at one point (Jimmy)
For me, I might want to go back half way. Must have strong determination.
✌️😎✌️❤️🇲🇾
Thanks for watching!
Do we need to bring ourselves headlamp?
Nope, they are supplied
Oh okaay
The largest cave in Malaysia is in Sarawak, the "Niah Cave " located in National Mulu Park ...and that is the real deal.
Yeah Niah cave is amazing
Gua tempurung wet tour
Yep :)
o myy im firsstt
Yay
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Great video but it is not the largest cave in Malaysia. Sarawak Chamber is the largest known cave chamber in the world by area and the second largest by volume after the Miao Room in China. It is in Gua Nasib Bagus (Good Luck Cave), which is located in Gunung Mulu National Park, in the Malaysian Territory of Sarawak on the island of Borneo.
Duly Noted
There is whitewater river rafting too not far from Gua Tempurung
oh nice
ive done it before. not for claustrophobic and luckily dont find any snake in the cave.
Haha, yeah we're lucky we didnt see one either
Well… that was a pretty misleading title. For a start, I thought you guys went to the Mulu Caves. 🙄 Gua Tempurung definitely is the largest in the peninsula but not the largest in the whole of Malaysia. But thanks for that mislead ‘cos now we know that the Malaysia that you refer to is only the peninsula/west Malaysia. 😂
fair enough...
I bet you don’t know the discourse. 🤣
Massive doesn't mean the largest.
Wearing short is not a good idea..
haha I agree, but we don't own any pants
This place have possessed
oh really?
@@themothfamily yeah really, because before 2023 like 2020 or 2019 have big issues in there..
There have someone have disspear missing people cause they are make some maraton running activity in there place gua tempurung..
Some exorcist say people missing cause have some ghost keepping human stuck into there village..
Like(elf-village)..
But we malay say it(kampung bunian)
And translate of thats ghost is..
(Hantu Bunian)or orang bunian,
(Elf ghost)or elf comunity
Hey can i ask something do you went to borneo of malaysia already (sabah and sarawak)?
We are actually in Sabah right now, we have videos coming :)
@@themothfamily omgggg NICEE YOU MUST go to te island like pulau manukan te sea is verryy PRETTYYYY
Yup there exist the largest kingdom of the spirit world (Djin) be careful with your words and actions
