I love how over the two videos Wrongy has genuinely gotten better at his job (to the point he's thrown some questions for the sake of showing the wrong answers)
These devs should consider a board game. If they can make a deck of cards full of callers, and one player be the "operator" (read the card, reveal the answer), then you could have a couple people all competing to get the most accurate diagnoses
That’s what I was thinking, too. You don’t recognize them, they claim to have a history with you that you don’t recall (“last time I saw you, you were just a little guy” and whatnot), and as you said: give you headaches.
Re: the question of why winter solstice traditions so often feature scaring kids into good behavior: I’d bet it’s because people were stuck indoors with their kids a lot more, and they could become a lot more insufferable in close quarters.
The elves are likely referring to the Norse Álfar. When offended, they would shoot humans or cattle with an invisible arrow which would cause illness (“elf-struck”).
As someone who wrote his undergrad thesis about prion disease i appreciated the shout out to one of the coolest pathology mechanisms ever (I'm not biased obviously)
Not the same but when this was mentioned in my bio 1 class, it took everything inside of me not to start blabbing to the professor about how chronic wasting disease inspired the “not deer” cryptid (and then go on another tangent about how jackalopes are actually real) Prion disease is such a weird concept that I wish I saw more of in horror cuz it’s kinda scary
I think the elves might just be a reference to having one of your parents' friends, in-laws, or distant family members over during Christmas that you don't remember ever meeting but they clearly know who you are. These interactions are usually incredibly awkward and can cause social headaches haha.

It takes place on the 13th of December and churches will have Lucia choirs, and they sing the traditional Yule songs. At least, that’s true for Sweden, I don’t know much about the other countries. Lucia is a very benevolent figure, the whole idea is to bring light and cheer to the family. Personally it’s my favorite tradition
I recognized this from an old Highlights magazine I read in elementary school. It seems so wholesome, especially among all the creepy monsters of European folklore.
In Denmark we mostly have school events around sankte Lucia. Children wearing white dresses (usually girls sometimes also boys) will walk in a line with candles in their hands through unlit corridors singing a song. The person at the front is considered the "Lucia bride" and gets to wear a crown of candles. It's a tradition that's actually quite cozy despite how it sounds lol. Luciaboller are also delicious!
Look. I don't like Christmas. So the amount of "Its Christmas, whats wrong with you?" is delightful. I enjoy the passive aggressive shame being brought to me with each shake of the bell. This is not sarcasm. It is an incredibly fun bit.

28:24 the sugar wisp might be a reference to the sugar plum fairy with their fae-like elements, but I think between the ‘sugar plum’ scent and the ‘dreams of dancing orbs’ it’s a clear reference to famous poem ‘A Visit from St. Nickolas’ also known as ‘The Night Before Christmas’. Specifically, the passage “The children were nestled all snug in their beds; While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads”
If anything, the mouse king was a closer reference to The Nutcracker. I just imagine HSH pest control fighting them off with an army of animated tin soldiers.

SERIOUSLY I adore this video, I love the world of Home Safety Hotline, it’s absolutely fascinating, but HOLY MOLY some of these new hazards ARE SO. SCARY. Perchta was the first to truly freak me out, she’s just so unsettling and cruel, though that’s partly because of 1: the uncanny valley and 2: I would… definitely be a target of her. Mental+physical illness tends to make it hard to clean, and while it’s certainly possible to get help, well, mental disorders.. they’re called disorders for a reason, it’s hard to think logically that someone would be willing to help you when you can barely help yourself. But rewatching the video, I have a newfound understanding and terror about The Hunt. I didn’t quite grasp it last time I watched it, BUT YIKES!!!! It’s… really sad, too. From that one call of the aftermath, it’s clear that The Hunt is a force of cruel, cruel nature, capable of wiping out entire communities with very few survivors, and even after, those survivors have to face their former neighbors as Wights, probably resulting in even more deaths. You think it’s just a heavy snowstorm, but nothing remains in the morning. The audio of the Wight’s cough is so unsettling, they managed to make the sound so human and so.. wrong. I feel bad for the towns that are hit with no warning :( Thank you for letting me ramble, I have one concept to consider: when they target someone, do you think the Mountain Warlocks are doing a silly little dance while they chant? I literally can’t see them doing anything else during their chanting, they’re all dancing silly
43:00 I think this is less a reference to folklore and more to the Holiday Illness. Basically any time theres a major holiday with big gatherings, the chance of giving, spreading, or getting sick goes up. Making a natural phenomenon into something caused by strange creatures is something this game does well, so I wouldnt be surprised if the reference is that simple.
@@writer4life724 I think there's also the aspect of Christmas being the only time you see a lot of the people there, so you could go your entire life never interacting with them outside of that brief period where you share a house each year, meaning you'd never know the difference if they were an elf. It's a very human thing to rationalise that a person you don't recognise at a party must know someone else there. The whole gathering would probably know that the person is a stranger, but nobody would want to bring it up in case they made a fool of themselves.
The original Lussi tradition still exists in almost the exact same manner in Sweden called Saint Lucia day. A girl is picked to be Saint Lucia, she dresses the exact same way with the lit candle wreath and all, and she goes through the streets holding a candle to light the way as saffron bread is passed out. It is practically the same in every way almost, I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned! My grandma's family is Swedish, and we used to do the tradition when my sister and I were the right ages still. I think it's like the youngest girl who is at least 8 or something, it's been a long time since then. 😂
Hi Irish man here, Cloch/Cloich is just the Irish word for Stone and is pronounced a bit like the Scottish Loch with a C at the front, Cúchulainn is pronounced like Coo Cullin, Cú being the Irish word for hound or wolf, and Chulainn being a lord he accidentally killed a guard dog of and thus had to become his guard until he could replace it
I got really into Cúchulainn from his inclusion in the game Smite. The description of his spear in writings is so brutal. "It entered a man's body with a single wound, like a javelin, then opened into thirty barbs. Only by cutting away the flesh could it be taken from that man's body.".. "coursing through the highways and byways of his body so that every single joint filled with barbs."
2:06:38 With Disco Elysium mentioned, Righty and Wrongy kinda remind me of how the skills work in that game. If I had to rename them as skills in D.E., Righty would be "Perfectionism" and Wrongy would be "Trial & Error".
The Mari Lwyd was my favorite part of this DLC (Though all of it was great). It's just such a funny yet wholesome tradition/custom imo and having it personified as some actual supernatural beastie was great.
31:33 I could be wrong here, but I think the False Carolers are based off of Kenku from D&D! They're humanoid crow/raven creatures known for their mimicry of people’s voices.
@@redwiltshire1816 while Kenku are originally based on the Japanese Tengu, they've been apart of D&D since the 80's I believe, and I'm pretty sure the creator of HSH is a D&D fan. Regardless, crows and ravens are known for their mimicry of human voices, so perhaps the carolers are just a general reference to that, as well as how they're often considered a bad omen
@@semi_mushi2189 actually now Ive gotten to the part, I’m pretty sure they are a mix of raven mythology and the false hydra from dnd either that or The Morigan
@@redwiltshire1816 but the false hydra you immediately forget as soon as you don't look at it and you forget all victims. That wasn't giving any of that?
The second the DLC released I knew this video was coming and could not stop refreshing my notifications with baited breath. Excuse me while I spend the next 2 hours and 40 minutes hunched over my phone looking like The Gift Hag
The end sequence was legitimately scary with the Krampus introduction. I've always loved how much fun you have, your considered thoughts, and the artistry you bring to the table. Thanks for this one and all the others, mon ami
The heartwarming dynamic between Righty and Wrongy is the cherry on top for these amazing videos. :D I love the way it was originally just a way to distinguish the flawless run from the run w/ consequence calls and also explain some of the clever red herrings, but you expanded it into dialogue of two people cooperating to find the right answer.
One of the fun things I like is the secondary meaning behind a couple of those calls and emails from HSH members. Things like "Hope to see you at the christmas party" Not just the surface one, but hoping we get to get to the christmas party.
"A pristine cut?" Yes, yes, I know. I'm waiting as patiently as I can manage. No need to rub it in. I also love how the lore suggests these agent are just hilariously competent. I would absolutely trust any of them to suplex a Dorcha to save Christmas.
I started with your first safety hotline video, proceeded to binge watched all your videos, and now right as I've finished, I get a new one? talk about a Christmas miracle!
My man Wrongy continues to impress! And some added emotional stakes for Righty too! I cannot overstate how much I love all the characterization and detail that goes into each of your characters in these videos.
As a dutchman I can't help but be a little peeved at lumping in Sinterklaas with Santa Claus so easily. I mean yeah they're similar, one inspired the other, but they're still very distinctly different. The horse , mitre and staff of "the saint" being a dead giveaway.
I like that as I started watching, you’ve been trying some new things video editing wise, throwing out some stuff you didn’t like, keeping some stuff you did or upgrading. You just work hard on your stuff. I don’t think people say this enough. I’m really proud of you for working this hard on something you love, even though sometimes it’s frustrating and it makes you hate it temporarily. You should be proud of yourself. Take some time to do that.
Hey Floppy Sloppy Toppy, i wont know if you see this, I've been watching your channel since the inscryption series, and love seeing what you put out, it reminds me of a bit of what night mind does, but the white board and overall pleasant presentation and sense of humor you bring is awesome to see, and i hope to see what amazing content you bring out the future, you deserve every bit of success you have, and the work you put in shows that. Thank you for being a kind voice and funny man in these trying times, and thank you for not taking yourself too seriously like some other creators do. Sincerely, Just a fan

This video was, as always, a certified banger. Knowing that King in Yellow, Signalis, and Fear & Hunger are all on the way has me absolutely vibrating with anticipation! Can't wait to see what you do with them all!
19:15 fun fact about Cu Chulain, in some versions of the myths he actually kept fighting long after he should have died, and he kept himself upright by tying his intestines to a nearby rock outcropping
Well I didn't expect to hear scuh an insane remix of a hungarian folk song in a video about a game mostly based off of nordic lore but I very much weclome this little subplot, thank you :3
Not 100% sure, but I think the Frost Wisps could be a reference to seasonal depression, considering how they cause their victims to think about their own mortality
YESSS I've been waiting for this! Also, Flaw, just wanted you to know that you've inspired me to finally start working on an animated project I've been dreaming up! Your Immortality video really inspired me. Keep up the great work!
I was so hyped when I saw this!!! I was hoping you would cover the DLC. The next videos sound super intriguing because I really don’t know much about either of those pieces of media so I’ll be excited to see what you come up with!! On another note, I recently watched some people playing the game Mouthwashing, and that game struck me as right up your alley because of how many things could be dissected and theorized about from it, since there are a lot of metaphorical sequences taking places within a character’s mind/psyche. It’s a very dark game though, so I understand if you might be hesitant to cover it
It's crazy that I rewatched your video about Home Safty Hotline, I checked on steam to my suprise that this game has dlc, I wished that you make anathor video about that dlc and be totally flabergazed, next day you uploaded Story Explained about that dlc. Love your content, thank you for making it, you making my day.
Kurva with a V is Czech, with a W Polish, in both cases you gotta make sure respect sex workers. Activated my neurons with that one. Czechs have some fascinating rituals in December, we miss out on Halloween sadly, but in return we get Saint Nick's Eve where we traumatise kids with devils, and we have fortune telling on Christmas Eve, cutting an apple in half to see the seeds, star is good cross is a bad omen, throwing a shoe over your shoulder towards the door to see how it lands and whether you're leaving the family, making small boats out of walnut shells with candles in them and floating those in a bowl of water to see if the family stays together, oh and the most hardcore one: Casting molten lead by pouring it into water and then reading the shapes. None of which I've gotten to do, except the boats once, but that's a my family and my history thing.
Honestly you are one of my favorite UA-camrs! I use your videos to go to sleep bc they capture my attention but aren’t loud and noisy! You go into so much detail and are so passionate about the games your playing that I can’t help but find myself getting so invested! Thank you for posting this and I hope you’re doing well! 🥰
I rotate between ManlyBadassHero, Flawed, and Ophie Dokie to help me sleep. Nice, soothing voices without yelling, screaming, or loud noises. I put the volume down so I can just make out what they're saying without straining and try to relax my body and mind.
Always a pleasure to see another Feathered Peacock video that breaks the hour limit. Loved every bit of this, and I’m so excited for the King in Yellow video! I can’t wait to see your take on it!

I love that this DLC has more Irish mythology references ❤
my introduction to cú was the persona games and fate series he is pretty awesome
"The More You Know" 🌠
I thought "chulainn" was pronounced "hoolan".
40:00 Ah, a vintage Diggy Diggy Hole in 2024. FP you've made this yognau(gh)t proud. The Oblivion music immediately after also gave me a chuckle.
I almost freaked out hearing this. XD
Hearing that quietly in the background truly blasted me back to the early 2010s, and not in a good way. I too was of the yogscast fandom....hoo boy
Its the simplest jokes that always get me.
The Yule Goat one caught me off guard
31:33 I could be wrong here, but I think the False Carolers are based off of Kenku from D&D! They're humanoid crow/raven creatures known for their mimicry of people’s voices.
I don’t think so the games based on fae/druid/celtic mythology while the kenku would be Japanese
@@semi_mushi2189 it could just be a pooka (púca) they take the forms of animals and bring misfortune or just a regular changeling
Wait, there’s 2 DLCs? I only know about this one.
@@MelodyS734 no, I meant the moment the DLC was released, there’s only just this one DLC :)
@@leahogutu523 oh thank you. I may have been speaking it my entire life, but my English is still awful somehow 😅
April Fool's Day idea:
The entirety of Dark Souls lore, but it's in a 1 second video where FP just takes a quick breath.
Is this how we know FP is on a downward spiral???? I WANT MY 20HR VIDEO
40 hours or riot
80 hours or we mega riot
new threat unlocked: "it's christmas *sinister bell jingling*.... what's wrong with you"
gasped out loud like a total nerd when i saw this notification. the video on the base game totally entranced me i know this one will stop my heart
This reminds me of a buddy I had in Colchester, Connecticut - he had a clothing store with a Cloch problem, he had to cloch down.
The end sequence was legitimately scary with the Krampus introduction. I've always loved how much fun you have, your considered thoughts, and the artistry you bring to the table. Thanks for this one and all the others, mon ami
man casually dropping 2 hour long videos with some of the best content on youtube like it's nothing
Floppy is like a communal stock pot; never stops cooking
And somehow he's only at 75k, further proving that popularity and quality just don't necessarily follow.
FP kinda looks gnome pilled with the christmas hat.
We prefer duende-pilled in the Duende Truther community.
@@flawedpeacock Im so sorry. Ill learn to listen to marginalized communities more.
absolutely duende-maxxing
man Im duen-dead 💀
The heartwarming dynamic between Righty and Wrongy is the cherry on top for these amazing videos. :D I love the way it was originally just a way to distinguish the flawless run from the run w/ consequence calls and also explain some of the clever red herrings, but you expanded it into dialogue of two people cooperating to find the right answer.
46:45 As a Czech, got a wonderful whiplash moment from that one. That rolling "R" really adds heft to the word, doesn't it? Great video, FP!
I'm also a fan of the Finish "Perrrrekele!!"
Now I'm sure you're doing Fear and Hunger next😂@@flawedpeacock
@@romanappolyn yeah I've got a bit lined up for Termina when that time comes.
Fear and hunger isn't next, but a lot sooner than before.
It also made me chuckle since it's the same in Hungarian, just pronounced differently.
I really enjoy when Wrongy gets the spotlight and I enjoy it even more when they collaborate. Unity is wholesome and fun to see.
God I love this channel. Intro music, skits, whiteboards, analysis, philosophy and pure charisma, all of that
The only problem with keeping the Saint's gift the whole winter is that it'll probably be taken as you accepting it, and you'll end up having to pay.
The licorice cutscene from that one Nick flash game reminded me of old nightmares thanks Flawed
50:24 you'd just been doing some chicken puns so for a second I thought you said "we CLUCK in" lol
Sincerely,
Just a fan
"sometimes it's better to strike the torso, keep that in mind, not for this game for another one"
"I just finished fear and hunger"
I think I can realistically guess what game are coming
I was feeling bummed out at a bar and couldn't figure out an excuse good enough for me to leave, but when I saw this video on my feed I left immediately for the comfort of my home to watch it. Thank you for your content as always!
This video was, as always, a certified banger. Knowing that King in Yellow, Signalis, and Fear & Hunger are all on the way has me absolutely vibrating with anticipation! Can't wait to see what you do with them all!
Oh my God the old gods symbols on the Hans drawing are such a good touch,i love it
19:15 fun fact about Cu Chulain, in some versions of the myths he actually kept fighting long after he should have died, and he kept himself upright by tying his intestines to a nearby rock outcropping
Ohh nice, Hungary mention!!
9:28 And the fact that HSH is very reminiscent of HoH SiS just makes that reference even better
I have to rewatch this on Christmas to get randomly startled multiple times.
The skit was truly peak cinema
I was so hyped when I saw this!!! I was hoping you would cover the DLC. The next videos sound super intriguing because I really don’t know much about either of those pieces of media so I’ll be excited to see what you come up with!!
On another note, I recently watched some people playing the game Mouthwashing, and that game struck me as right up your alley because of how many things could be dissected and theorized about from it, since there are a lot of metaphorical sequences taking places within a character’s mind/psyche. It’s a very dark game though, so I understand if you might be hesitant to cover it
I had to go home from work sick today and i just woke up from a fever dream to see you uploaded, hell yeah
I’m instantly sat omg
1:28:07 I am OBSESSED with this guy. Idk who or what it is but it’s my favorite-looking skit creature so far.
None of which I've gotten to do, except the boats once, but that's a my family and my history thing.
georgia’s call is both so cute but so hilarious 😭😂
Dude, I remember Sandwich Stacker! There's a nostalgia blast I didn't expect to get today.
damn you've been treating us well with contents lately
59:27 some funger references ? oh boy hope it's a hint towards a video about it

Wrongy finally got good at the job. And the production value keeps going up with each episode.
My thoughts exactly !!!
Always a pleasure to see another Feathered Peacock video that breaks the hour limit. Loved every bit of this, and I’m so excited for the King in Yellow video! I can’t wait to see your take on it!
It's weird how amazing the skits work with the overview of the game, absolutely love your videos
I found your original HSH video and fell in love with your content. You’ve quickly became one of my favourite creators! Thanks for the awesome content!
When I said I couldn't wait on your teaser, I didn't expect it'd come with same day shipping! Flawpy delivering the best kinds of surprises as usual.
as a Hungarian myself I appreciate the shoutout
That fucking jumpscare at 33 minutes ahhhhh its 2 in the morning here!!! You cant do that to me peacock
saved this vid for nov 1 so i could properly overlap spookiness and the holiday spirit :3 just finished. amazing work as always flawed peacock!!! listened to this while decorating the house
God the translation of all this folklore and modern tradition is so cool, here’s hoping for another expansion down the line with Easter and other spring-holiday themed cryptids!
1:57:57 my phone crushed immediately after you said that for no reason, and it gave me bigger jumpscare than whole fnaf franchise combined
