Adventurers and villains often need legendary magic items to accomplish their goals. Such items aren’t easy to acquire. They might be found in the hands of dangerous adversaries or locked away and guarded by traps in hidden places. The items in this collection were created for the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Each one can tilt the balance of power in any D&D game, so use these items with caution. Rules for magic items appear in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and get ready to see it in theatres March 2023.
A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.

Always good to see new shiny toys. But its also good to weave the common/uncommon ones into a narrative. The "magic" compass from Pirates of the Caribbean is a very good example of a less rare item that fits into this.

This was done really well with the introduction of the speaking stones. Immediately the first thing the party does is cause horrible speaker-phone like feedback. They get an ear splitting demonstration that magic can be used very wrongly for everything from just annoying to world-ending bad horrors.

Saw the movie last night. It was so much better than I thought it would be. Seriously, it is great. Hasbro made a very good call making it family friendly enough to garner a PG-13 rating--this will pay off tremendously and should serve as a model for future productions.

Huh. For real DM‘s, this wasn’t hard at all. It’s just a rod/staff/wand of dimension door, with a Rule of Fun interpretation of the spell effects. The character in the movie even says it has a range of 500 feet. Just like the spell. I feel bad for Perkins and the other WOTC guys who are slaves to their own rules.
Also, the horn would absolutely be an artifact!
