Hey Chris the OG 7s midsole was a phylon cup sole that housed TPU foam inside with encapsulated forefoot and heel air units. I thought the whole tooling was phylon, but I saw a customizer breakdown a pair of OGs and realized what the tech really was.
The White infrared colorway is special to me. Jordan did that triple clutch layup (February 16, 1991) against the Nets at Chicago Stadium while wearing that colorway but on the Jordan 6.

The most yellowed clear sole i had ever seen was on the 2000 Infrared 6's in 2008. That was around the time I just got into sneakers, so because of that, I always felt that the Infrared colorway plus the lemonade clear sole goes hand in hand lol.

I know we’re talking about a J7 here but I’m hoping Jordan brand will do another retro of the 6 Infrared (the all blacks with red hits). I know it hasn’t exactly been ancient history since the last release and I hate paying resell for anything unless it’s something that is an absolute ‘must cop’ like the Lost and Found J1 Chicago. I do appreciate that some drops have been easier to cop this year☝🏾

Crimson is the color Nike used for the black Air Jordan 6 warm up suit and shooting shirt back in 1991. The colors are very similar.
