Bro this video is so cool. I absolutely overgrinded Cresents, Jail, Hystria, pirates and Sausans. IMO Med, Val and Karma were the best expansions ever. First time going to dessert was feehling like an adventure Going to buff up looking for the Villa at jail and grinding jail u feehlt like an outlaw. PvP was insane and I loved it. This definitely was the golden time of BDO. I miss open world PvP so much. In my opinion it’s a corner stone for bdo.
Nothing will ever beat being in a group at Sausans when the game first came out, grinding up getting the Grunil armour drops to auto-sell on the marketplace. Peak group content. Then for me, Cadry - Shultz - Jade.
i loved in those days you pick a different spot in Valencia to go grind for the day. Everything felt fresh. I loved the Abandon Monastery as a new player for months. Dropping MoS and Witch Earrings to make your own first TRI accs. BDO was genuinely hard back then, and i loved it for that... Pila Ku. I loved Ronaros when it came out. I did my first grind to lvl 62 then when Capotia first released and the cap accessories had silver/green stones. Right after i hit 62 finally for my Cappy Earring they changed the looks of them to Gold/Red Stones
Fadus < Catfish < Cadry for my favorite spots. After that in no particular order Marie Cave, Miruwak, Navarn Feather Wolves, Wild Featherwolves, Wild Lions near Arehaze, and finally Sniper hunting in LoML. Hunting makes the list for me because it provides blood and meat for cooking/alchemy.
I remember Musa being the "King of Manshaum". Grinding for steel dagger at khuruto cave. Calling my horse every 5 seconds across the desert. Hours and hours of desert Nagas and Fogans. Rafting to Pirate Island. My friend coming over and 1 tapping my tri RCE. First time hitting duo Kzarka was 44 stacks, tri 80, tet 120. Given my record, POed my pen Kzarka and decided to never touch enhancing ever again. So many memories. I watched your stream replay. I enjoyed RBF because it was pretty much the only group content I could do with my friends, not necessarily the pvp element. And since they all fish botted a lot of their gear, I felt like I had to catch up, which was basically impossible with only 1-2hrs to play and having to spend an hr traveling to and from the grind spot then spending 30 minutes swapping channels or getting griefed. I still enjoy RBF now because again, it's the only real medium sized group content without being too chaotic (most of the time). Really looking forward to the new queue system and reward buffs. No guild that would seriously defend grind spots would take a "casual" player like me, with only 1-2hrs to play back then. So yeah, maybe once a month on a Saturday or something we'd have a fun group fight. Also an interesting thing I've noticed. All of the EU streamers I've listened to disagrees with most of Choice's feedback. But all NA streamers agreed. Me being Canadian also agreed with most of what Choice proposed.
Generally I felt we wanted the same end result with the revival of PvP but perhaps there's a divide on how to get there. I valued the open world non instanced dynamic rather than structural set time PvP more, not that I don't enjoy NW or even solare but I always enjoyed the spontaneous PvP the most and in that sense there was no tangible reward except backing up the homies. Feels a shame you felt the way you did about your guild though when I was last playing casually we had a lot of Timmies and wars would crop up and we'd all be ready to throw hands for them. Enjoyed reading your memories of the past spots though!
@@Anfieldw Yeah most of my friends were also busy with uni most of the time, so no one had the time to back each other up. One of my favorite grind spot was mirumok, because if we got flagged I wouldn't be alone. There were a couple pretty fun 2v2/3v3 fights. I won't actively look for these fights, but I won't mind them either if I'm not alone. Also hated dfs since even if I do win occasionally they'd stay and grief me anyway. It wasn't worth it, so I began leaving as soon as I saw dfs. Most pvp situations just weren't fun for me.
What do you think about gunslinger/deadeye? I'm thinking ill probably swap mains to it if it's fun/ feels good. I dislike ascension classes but it might be alright depending on how the weapons chain together. Was holding out hope that PA would speed up/improve the responsiveness of natures tremble and wind blade (and the weird delay between Wailing and tempest) when I saw all those recent class updates but I guess not and Ranger just hasn't felt good to grind with for a while now. I thought it was just me, but after going back to Lost Ark these past few months it's night and day how crisp that game's classes feel in comparison.
I think a gunner class doesn't fit BDO personally but it looks like it plays fun and kinda irks me that succ ranger could have been what this class is. NT and WB are fast when cancelled correctly tbf but generally the class does need love in both PvE and PvP it doesn't seem to get
@Anfieldw yeah you can cancel NT and WB a bit still like with vine knot and waltz of wind for example but I have noticed a big difference in the degree they can be canceled compared to before the number of hit changes. She used to feel pretty good before that.
Never liked it personally, the PvP was sometimes epic but I have more memories of karma bombers and nothing else about the spot ties me too it, I'm not a mediah fan tbh anyway

This was such a great video, pls do more stuff like this
an underground grindspot tomb with many levels where the deeper you go the harder the mobs and the rarest the loot would be sick.
Like the pit of 100 trials or cave ordeals from paper Mario or zelda
the memories from some of these spots over the years, good times man

Great video! Personally I enjoy chill spots most as they have less mechanics.

I agree with a lot of the spots as well! Quite the nostalgia hit haha
Anfield what outfit do you wear on your ranger! really want it

I remember expending hours on basilisks back when making 50m an hour was amazing
I hate the statue thing they turned it into
I remember grinding Basi in a party with you for map piece
Sadly that would have been the new tower variant of Basilisks but still love the area design! Hope to see it revitalised one day
This was really nice listen
Sausans, hello?
