Amazing work on this. I have an r80 I am aiming to turn electric. Just wondered if you have any videos of the build of this or the battery, hub, controller plans as its a minefield. This looks ideal. On speed and range. Most difficult part on the R80 is going to be the hub/Swing arm but I'll find a workaround. Any help massively appreciated
You’re gonna need a custom swing arm but for a bike that size would probably do the same thing I did with this one 8 kW motor and an ASI controller, and then I would use 500 Samsung T40 cells , 20s25p for 72v 100ah you would be able to go 84mph and have an 80-90miles of range

Honestly not even sure just some tires I Had laying around there are actually two rear tires not even a front rear they’re not labeled with a brand or anything
It has about 280 pounds of torque from the time you turn the throttle it goes 0 to 60 instantly but if the voltage on running it tops out at about 70 miles an hour, i’m going to take it over to the track as soon as they open once corona stops and post some videos of that, But on my page a couple other videos that were shot of me messing around racing other bikes and a hemi charger
Diy Guy faster than every other production motorcycle ever sold? Including other electric bikes with similar torque? I’m gonna need to see a video with gps verification before I believe that one.
Yea i am going to post video from the track , most other production bikes are going faster then 70 so there gearing is much different, if you took a zero and lowered the gearing it could probably do the same , its like pitting 4.11 gears on your car it will increase your 0-60 but you will be redlining it at some low speeds

Did you use the 17 inch 8 kW hub motor with a 3.5” tire or the 6”?

Did you have to modify anything on the swingarm to attach the motor?
I had to make a brake mount

What made you take off the mid drive and put on the hub?
I took the Me drive off because I want to more range I could fit more batteries in by doing a hub in this frame is so tiny
