Hi, I've been using the free version of Veeam, and it has been working alright. This is one of those tasks that you want to set and forget. Usually, they don't have the most amazing UI. Also, many software use the Windows backup services to create their backups, so you're technically running the OS feature. I used to like Macrium Reflect an then they went paid only. Thanks,
The backup system has been designed to restore in the same computer or different hard drive in the same PC. If you restore the backup on another PC, it wouldn't work because the hardware is different, so the drivers and other configurations would be a total nightmare to fix. I would recommend only backing up your files, and then either setup the new PC with that existing installation or perform a clean install of Windows 11.
@@Pureinfotech I don't want to create backup windows on external drive.System backup already careated and now I want to restore to external drive instead of drive C in computer. Thanks for your help.
Exactly! I had an old version of this tutorial, but I thought it was time for a refresher since I'm always recommending to back up before making system changes.
I'm not sure to do something like that, online services already have their sync clients that backup files automatically. Although you can technically upload backups from other software, there are always restrictions and limitations for content, formats, and things like that. For full backups, it's best to do a local backup or have a secondary location to keep the backups safe.

If you want to pay for it then go either 'acronis true image' or 'macrium reflect'.
Why, windows integrated tools are way better why you always search for hard stuff
i think the backup can only be restored in the same machine, i would like to retore it on an other laptop, is this possible ?

This tool is available in windows 7, 8, 10 and 11. It is basic (primitive even) and quite slow. But it works and is for free.
