Great job packing. As a flight attendant I need to tell you your suitcase is a bit chubby and you might have difficulties getting it in an overhead bin. I would leave behind one pair of jeans and take your hot rollers instead. I love love manchester. A store that is flight attendant heaven is called Primark and the one in manchester is massive. It's high street fashion on a budget. The statement necklaces have been big in the UK for years and primark has tons of them as well as scarves. Have a faboulous trip, love your channel.
Love all the outfits you are taking. You did a great job packing I would have never been able to get it all in there. I know you two are going to have a fantastic time and can't wait to see your vlogs. I am so excited for you two as I know how much you love vacationing there. Ok and you had to make me tear up. Thanks for sharing what you decided to pack for your trip with just carry-on bags. I have tried with each trip I take to pare down items and travel lighter. It can be hard to do but makes the actual traveling so much easier! Have a wonderful time with your hubby and best wishes for a safe journey! :)
Hope you will have a wonderful trip! As it happens we are leaving for England on May 19 for 10 days..rented a house in the cotswalds, so excited, and then over to Sweden for another tour. Your packing hints are very helpful as I am not great at it. Amazing you are just doing the carry ons..I will have to take a bigger suitcase.
I know you and Doug are going to have a fabulous trip. I am so impressed how many things you were able to pack in one large carry on, and a big purse. V clever packing Melissa! It's typical spring weather here at the moment, sunny one minute then cloudy/showery, altho its been chilly even when sunny so it's good that u have packed stuff u can layer. Enjoy your travels and I look forward to your vlogs xx
Great job of cramming it all in. The clothes usually aren't the issue for me, I usually don't end up wearing half of what I bring anyway, it's all the personal care/makeup items that I have a problem whittling down. You don't realize how many products you use til you start to pack them. Look forward to your travel vlogs! Laurie

I wish I knew how much that weighed because international flights only allow 40 lbs. it's not so much how to get your stuff packed as it is how to keep it all within the weight limit.

You did a fantastic job packing! I never check a bag anymore and have learned not to overpack. I always take a photo of the interior of my bag after I pack it so I can remember how all the pieces fit in there! I am not be able to lift a heavy bag into the overhead bin and I hate having to ask for help to do it. I think I always pack too much. So if I ever go to London I will take the minimal and do some shopping while there as some people are saying in the comments.

Bon voyage....Hope you are keeping an eye on the weather bulletins otherwise you will be caught out....I am just across the channel in France where it is practically the same as UK & for past few days the temp can be 30c for an hour and then icy winds & SNOW !!! the nights are bitterly cold, colder than it has been all winter. My sister, in Norfolk, tells me that they have put the heating back on !!
Do hope you have a lovely, memorable time & hope you will get out of dirty olde London & go to the Cotswolds to see soemthing beautiful rather than traffic & buildings !!

My dear friend is in Amsterdam right now and he has had the time of his life. I wish you safe travels and the joy of making some remarkable memories. The weather can be so changeable here. You could wake up one day and it's hot, we've had heatwaves in early May before. If you do need any last minute clothes then I too recommend Primark -sooo cheap but still stylish. There's a huge one at the Marble Arch end of Oxford Street in London. x

I am going to be able to vacation in England this summer. I am very late watching this video, but glad I found it. We only want to take one bag each so this has helped me. We plan to be gone for 5 weeks, and visit Scotland too. I adore you and thanks so much for your time. ;) Cheryl
hi i have just discovered your channel. i live 40 miles from London and i have visited arizona and san diego many times. wow i wish i could have travelled as light as you we had a large case each but we got lots of souveniers whilst there. i just seem to pack so many toiletries lol

I'm excited for you guys! I think it's great that you aren't taking more luggage. I was in a situation last week were I ended up washing a few things in the sink and it was easy and I was glad I did it. I did twelve days in Italy in November with a carry-on. Lovely to go to several cities and not have to deal with unwieldly bags. Eileen Fisher things to layer, a few scarves, and one pair of shoes in the bag.

Aloha Melissa! Nicely done. I always travel, as much as possible, with just a carry on. Question...are you allowed to take razors aboard as a carry-on? Also important to keep the amounts of liquid to a few ounces. Thanks again!!! Have fun!!! :)

I visited London last a March and I was most surprised at how young the population was. I read the average age of Londoners is 33. I loved the National art museum, the Tate and I saw Phantom of the Opera. Loved it all

+Melissa55 London is a very hip bustling city and very expensive to live. That could be one reason older people usually live in neighborhoods just outside London where it's not so busy.

Oh my goodness - I am SO impressed! I'm not going to tell my husband as he ALWAYS wants to go with just carry-ons - and I tell him that is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for me to do. Melissa: I wanted to thank you for this video and I did take a 2 week trip and only used a carry on. It went great and you were a great inspiration for this easy/easier way to travel. I do have a quick question. I do not like my travel purse....what travel purse did you use or do you have one to recommend? I have searched the internet over....and can't find one that works - the ones that are functional are not stylish. Trying to find pretty and functional bag is hard. Would appreciate any advice that you could give. Thanks, Nancy

YEA! I did a carry on for paris, germany and Sweden and it was great! I did black, white and gray.Your meds looked liked mine...lol. Yiou will have a blast and you can always buy something if you need it, thats what hubby tells me so I calm down..lol. Have fun XO Stacy
I've always wanted to do just carry on. How did you go with bag sizes? Did they allow your carry on to be totally expanded like that? Well done on the wearing the boots, coat and boots. Common look at the airport huh. Hope it was great.

Im very impressed with your packing skills, Great Job! We travel a lot for long periods of time with little space ( we have a Miata) and I too have learned to use the rolling method. It was hard for me because I love to iron and put my clothes in a garment bag(even tho they still get wrinkled) I love the little black over the shoulder purse you packed to use on your trip. Where did you get it?

I have friends who bring mostly clothes they don't want anymore, and leave them behind when they go overseas, lol.
Problem for me is I would not want to wear anything that I would throw away!

Melissa, I just discovered your channel. Please tell me which Japanese cloth you use on your hands? I googled the products and apparently the cloth is offered in a variety of coarseness. Are you using a basic texture or something more? I'd love to try your suggestion for pigmented hands, my arms need it as well. Thank you and Best wishes on your trip to London! I always bring an extra suitcase whe going to Europe. Great shops in Britain. You will have no room for gifts or items you buy. Enjoy
