When I saw Eluveitie in 2015 they played an additional acoustic set to make up for Epica leaving the tour. Simone Simons had a family emergency, so Eluveitie wanted to make sure fans got their money’s worth. Super cool of them!
they do be like that. They played at a small festival right around the corner a couple of times. One time they were late for ~30 minutes after which Chrigel came on stage apologizing for being late and explaining that he comes right from hospital do to being super sick (bronchitis or something throat-related). They played the set anyways and were amazing, nevertheless.
A couple of trivia facts: Those "trumpets" are called Carnyx and come straight from the "Celtic" Iron Age (practically 2000 years ago). They were ceremonial/war musical instruments very common in Gallia. We have found various carnyces from Switzerland to Scotland and we have depictions of the instruments both from "celtic" and roman sources. The bagpipe in the folk breakdown is an "Uilleann Pipe" wich is THE traditional bagpipe of Ireland. The air is not provided by the breath of the player but from a bellow under the player right elbow while the bag is squeezed by the left elbow.
the "i want to get back to listen to that again" is me with Fabi's yodeling, since the first time i watch it in the premiere, i got stuck in that, my first thought was of " oh, no, i'm gonna be humming that part nonstop ", so i have been listening to the song repeatedly lol. I just love the song. i'm so glad Eluveitie is back!.
@@andyventures6574 I had to Google what a 'sprog' was. lol I didn't know they were a couple? Are you saying they had a child together, or 2 separate children w/ their respective partners? Just curious, awesome either way...
This song is awesome, Eluveitie delivers again! Also I was excited to see that you have a Sidilarsen shirt, I discovered them in 2001 while I spent a couple of months in Toulouse France, glad to see other people outside of France know of them!
This song is fantastic love the bard-like quality to the lyrics super awesome, it is Celtic music it's actually religious music for us harsh vocals no pagan throat singing actually. The actual name of the song is a god for celtics.
ANOTHER one that's over too soon! At least it was a very strong & definite finish, a bit like Arch Enemy often do. A very strong, and somewhat different song.

Reminds me of the old Eluveitie... can’t wait to see them live again!
November ......
Calls back to both Catrix and carry the torch lyrically , and rises and falls like rebirth. Bloody genius track.
Appetizer, a good first single to a new album is an appetizer... They nailed it, can't wait for more!

that covid break really increased music quality
And added to the dynasty - Chrigal and Nicole had a sprog in there as well ....

Just magnificent!🤘
In total a satisfactory dual dose of Eluveitie this week 😊
That HEAVY drive in the back after that second chorus is NASTY!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
There are bands that are like Port wine: older they are, better they are. Eluveitie is one of them. :)
Oh look, another album I will be buying without hesitation!
Amazing song. So well constructed.
Absolute Celtic magic ✨
Gwydion.... and then THIS! Both need longer versions! :D I missed a dick-joke of yours on this note...

When you going to post up your Tallah reaction. It seems like you are focusing more on new releases
On the schedule for Tuesday.
yeah the song was too short ... :P awesome chorus tho :P
definitly too short hahaha^^
Nah, a good song shouldn't repeat too much.
Don't really care for the breakdowns and the more generic metalcore-y bits, but overall still sounds like Eluveitie :)
No generic metalcore here, buddy. This is folk/melo-death at it's finest.
WHYZDOM!! Guys, you have to check!
