I feel like Don't fight the feeling can really be fully appreciated by the people who knows EXO and their whole journey, specially since it wasn't a comeback but a gift for fans who were waiting for them for a long time Bcoz of military hiatus.
Dftf is very special to us, because despite the rush of Chanyeol and baekhyun's enlistment right after filming and recording the album; they still gave us this beautiful album filled with their magical vocals that we live for(B-sides of this album are my personal fav). We even got Sehun vocals in this album, like it's everything that we treasure very much as a fandom.
And Lay, not to mention we got Lay in this whole album for the first time in YEARS since 2016.
This year they are finally having a full group "comeback".

Aespa has a very futuristic concept, and fun fact, they're under da same company as EXO (the company's name is SM Entertaiment), this company is known as VOCAL POWERHOUSE
So EXO is a vocal heavy group, their rappers sing like lead vocals of other groups, and they originally auditioned for the singer position, Most EXO songs are not focused on rap mostly, but overall Chanyoel is a pretty good rapper(pretty iconic too), Sehun also have good flow, they have good rap verse in their songs, but if you expect their songs like rap heavy groups(BTS, Stary Kidz) than I am sorry, They are RnB group(base sound is RnB)
However This particular song isn't for you, This is for fans who are supporting them for years and waiting for them since 2019,there are lot of easter eggs n shit that only well-informed fans would understand, It's a waiting gift, As fans, this song isn't our favorite in music-wise, but this is actually pretty close to our heart, This is very sweet of them that they manage some time for a Mini album, they couldn't even promote this album at all(btw b-sides of this Album is one of my favorites from EXO just the title is a little weak music-wise)

In EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" they used green screen during a lot of the MV because Lay, EXO's Chinese member -- the one with the red shirt -- was unable to be in Korea to shoot the MV, so he shot all his parts separate in his studio in China and they inserted them into the MV. This MV was released in June 2021 -- during the pandemic -- and it was shot right before members Baekhyun and Chanyeol enlisted in the military. This mini album was a special project they did for their fans because members Xiumin and D.O. had just been discharged from the military -- which is one reason why they have a prominent role in the MV -- and Chanyeol and Baekhyun were about to enlist. (Suho and Chen had already enlisted before this MV was planned, so they were the only members who did not participate.) There were only 7 members of the 9 member group in this MV. (Kai and Sehun are the only members who still haven't enlisted, but they probably will soon.)
"Don't Fight the Feeling" is a milestone for fans because this is the first time we have seen Lay back together with EXO since 2016, because of all the political issues between Korea and China.
As you may have noticed, this MV establishes EXO's connection to Planet Exo, with the words EXO Planet strategically placed around the ship. And you will see L-1485 in several places on the ship because this represents EXO-Ls, 14/08/05 (Aug. 5, 2014) -- 1485 -- is the day EXO's fandom was given the name EXO-L.
"Don't Fight the Feeling" is also connected to EXO's and SuperM's storyline and it's all part of SM Entertainment's SM Culture Universe. If you follow the storylines of all of SM's groups you will see connections can be made with "Don't Fight the Feeling" to EXO's story, as well as several of SM's other groups' MVs, such as SuperM's "100", WayV's "Moonwalk", NCT's "Save", etc. For example, the flag you see in this MV should remind you of the flags you see as the logo during EXO's "Obsession" comeback, as well as the flags you will see if you watch EXO's live concert performance of their song "El Dorado", and the scene with Sehun on the motorcycle should remind you of the scenes with him on the motorcycle in EXO's "Tempo" and "Lightsaber" MVs, etc.
The meteors and the explosions, etc. are all part of SM's Universe storyline, as well. You see the planet burning at the end of EXO's "Obsession" MV and you will see everything on fire when you watch Lay's solo "Sheep" Alan Walker Relift version MV. There are also meteor showers happening in several of EXO's concert VCR and MV teaser concept videos, etc. And I think it's even connected to the meteor shower you see happening in WayV's "Moonwalk" MV, etc.
And I think the blue drink we see Kai drinking has something to do with the blue drink we see EXO drinking in their "Ko Ko Bop" MV.
Fun fact: They use red, white and blue all over in this MV, which are South Korea's colors. Plus, red and blue are all part of EXO's storyline. With everything EXO does, red represents the Red Force and blue is thought to represent EXO. So when you see the red light this is where the Red Force is thought to have control and when you see blue, this is thought to be where EXO has the upper hand. When you see purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- or both red and blue together in the same scene, this is often where the lines are blurred and the Red Force and EXO are fighting for control or battling each other for power.
Therefore, because we see EXO in blue and black when they are part of the crew of the ship -- similar to the outfits we saw in their "Obsession" MV -- this is most likely an indication that this is EXO. However, when we see them in the group "party scene" this could possibly be X-EXO, EXO's alter ego clones who were created by the Red Force. We see Lay in red and other members with red accents, so they might be under the Red Forces' control in those scenes.

Thank you for reacting to Monsta X, this is a very talented group and very different from the rest, this are men (just check the lyrics) they have the best rap line in k-pop (Joohoney and IM) and one of the best vocalist (Kihyun) they can hit different genres but they well known for their aggressive sound, they also have two albums completely in English which are totally different from their Korean albums and let’s not talk about the b sides omg!!! aespa is the youngest girl group of SM. They debuted in 2020 with Black Mamba. I know you are confused reacting to them for the first time bc as you can see, there are so many unfamiliar terms like 'naevis' and 'synk dive' It is because SM has this world called KWANGYA where all their artists are connected in some kind of like a story. We called it the SMCU universe. So aespa has their own story as well and the villain they are fighting here is the black mamba. As I said they debuted with Black Mamba which is where the storyline started. Girls is like the stage where they finally beat the black mamba. I suggest for people who want to get to know aespa tp watch their mvs in chronological order to understand their lore. Starting from Black Mamba, Next Level, Savage and finally Girls.
What kind of girl group is aespa? They are four members girl group with four AIs members. What I mean by that is they each have their own virtual member like you see in the mv, the animation. We called them the AEs. aespa means avatar x experience and aspect. I suggest watching SMCU universe Black Mamba ep 1 and Next Level ep 2. It only 10 mins long.

About Don't Fight The Feeling, it was released in 2021, while exo's last comeback was in 2019. some members were in the military for the past few years, and they took the time to make special gifts in 2021.
at that time, Suho (leader) and chen (main vocal) did not participate in the special album "Don't Fight The Feeling", because they're did military service since 2020 and comeback in 2022.
Chanyeol and Baekhyun, who participated in making the album, really took their time because in the same year, they did military service even before Don't Fight The Feeling was released. (Chanyeol in March, Baekhyun in May, and the album released in June).
Moreover, LAY, who had not participated in the group comeback for a long time, participated. the fans are very happy and missed him a lot.
btw, the Special Album "Don't Fight The Feeling" contains no-skip songs. Trust me.

Monsta X is legitimately one of my favorite groups, the discography is immaculate. I wish I was lying. So glad you enjoyed Beautiful Liar as much as the fans did. Also, since you're doing a unknown series, I won't spam you with too many requests just that, since Beautiful Liar album just came out a day ago, I hope you can listen/react to Crescendo, Lone Ranger & Deny from their album, it's so good...I feel like you would love Crescendo.
Also random notes, when you paused at the guy at 21:21 (That's Changkyun stage name I.M, rapper and maknae of the group) and you said God Damn, that was hella funny because his first solo song is called God Damn. This group also loves Aespa's songs especially Next Level & Savage which i thought was cool connection since you reacted to both groups consecutively too. MX did a not-so-serious cover of Next Level that's honesty amazing and entertaining.
I would suggest reacting to Girls Generation (also known as SNSD) - The Boys for the unknown series, yes this is older group, the Mv is from 2011 but i'm hag kpop fan that likes to walk the path of nostalgia. Also SNSD did their thing when kpop did not have today's social media influences, they are legendary group and made their mark in kpop. Sorry for the essay yall.

As with all the groups under SM Entertainment, their storylines and concepts are all part of SM's Universe, including aespa's storyline. It is even speculated that aespa's story connects to EXO's and SuperM's storylines. I think SM has set it up so that at least all of their third generation groups -- and now even fourth gen. groups, with the introduction of aespa -- have storylines that connect, link together and intertwine. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connections between the groups.
Aspea's story is all part of SM's SM Culture Universe story, which is like an epic mystery movie or giant graphic novel series.
Unfortunately, in order to understand aespa's storyline you really need to watch their MVs and content in order of when they were released. To understand aespa's story you need to see their debut "Black Mamba" MV, then their "Next Level" MV, and then their "aespa ep.1 'Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video, then their "Savage" MV, "aespa ep. 2 'Next Level' - SM Culture Universe" video, then their "Illusion" lyric video, their "Life's Too Short" MV and, finally, (their "Girls" MV.) By watching all these videos in this order, you will see the group's story unfold in the order in which SM intended.
As with everything that SM does, aespa is much more than just a singing group. SM created this group with the idea that they would become characters within SM's Universe and help to expand on the story that started with EXO. SM's SM Culture Universe has now grown to involve everything the company does. (You could sort of think of it like the Marvel franchise. Each of the Marvel characters has their own storyline, merchandise and fans, but the stories and concepts often overlap and connect. And with each new character that is introduced it expands on the whole Marvel universe.)
If you haven't already, you really need to watch aespa's "aespa ep.1 'Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video that was released right before their MV for "Next Level" was released and their "aespa ep. 2 'Next Level' -- SM Culture Universe" video that was released before their "Girls" MV. It's the first and second episodes of aespa's drama and it adds a lot more detail and background information to help you understand aespa's storyline.
As you can see, aespa is a four member girl group whose concept revolves around the fact that their name means "avatar experience" and each of the girls has an avatar character -- as you see with their animated characters and scenes -- so they also are superhero-like beings, just like EXO and the members of SuperM.
Their avatars aren't exactly "virtual members," but they are virtual characters that represent each of the members in the digital realm. As part of aespa's concept, it is thought that anyone who does anything online has a virtual character that lives online that represents them -- everytime we do anything online we leave a piece of digital DNA, which is what is used to create our digital selves or avatar. If you watch the ep. 1 and ep. 2 videos I suggested above, this will all become more clear and aespa's concept should make more sense.
And just like EXO, the members of aespa all have their own powers and symbols that represent them:
💓Karina (Yoo JiMin) is the leader of the group, she is a main dancer and lead rapper: her symbol is a heart and her spirit animal is a whale. She is Korean.
🌕Giselle (Uchinaga Aeri) is the main rapper and a vocalist: her symbol is the moon and her spirit animal is a unicorn. She is Japanese.
⭐Winter (Kim MinJeong) is a lead dancer, lead vocalist and the visual of the group: her symbol is a star and her spirit animal is a Siberian Husky dog. She is Korean
🦋NingNing (Níng Yìzhuo) is the maknae and the main vocalist: her symbol is a butterfly and her spirit animal is a tiger. She is Chinese.
In order to understand aespa's storyline, you really have to pay attention to the lyrics of their songs, because the lyrics help to explain aespa's concept and what is happening in their MVs.
The way I see it is, there are two dimensions: aespa in the real world and their avatars (Kwangya) world. (Everything SM does has to do with Kwangya -- even SM's new building where everything is created and produced is called Kwangya. Kwangya is the metaverse that all of SM's storylines revolve around.)
Aespa are connected to their avatars and everything the aespa members do in real life gives power to their avatars. However, because of the Black Mamba's temptation aespa and their avatars cannot connect through the SYNK app anymore, so their avatars become lost. (The evil force or hacker who aespa is battling is Black Mamba, which is sometimes represented by the black snake you see in aespa's story.)
What I have gathered from their "Girls" MV is that aespa has tracked down the Black Mamba's lair, or the space within Kwangya where Black Mamba has taken up residency or is hiding, and they are working to take Black Mamba down. You see the Black Mamba monitoring the girls' movements on security cameras as aespa searches the Black Mamba's hideout. And you also see naevis watching everything happening from I think Kwaga where she said in ep. 2 she would be watching them and sending assistance when she could, etc. naevis is the creator and designer of the Kwangya world -- kind of like the site administrator -- and aespa trust naevis to protect them from the Black Mamba and protect the virtual word, etc. (MY is the name of aespa's fans, which could possibly mean that their fans are naevis because the fans are the ones who protect aespa and defend them from the evils of society, etc.)
At one point you see a jump drive with the word aespa on it, and I think this is one of the girls finding Black Mamba's command center and downloading a virus or program to stop the Black Mamba from being able to control things. And, although, at the end it looks as if maybe the Black Mamba has been defeated and disappears, I have a feeling that aespa has only managed to put up a roadblock and temporarily stop the Black Mamba, but once the Black Mamba regroups and figures out how to get around whatever aespa did, the hacker will be back. Or maybe that was just the Black Mamba running away, etc.
aespa couldn't have defeated the Black Mamba so quickly, they've only been at it for 2 years, and I wouldn't think, if we take into consideration SM's history, that the company would be ready to close this chapter of the storyline just yet. Plus, as with most superhero and fantasy type movies and stories, there is always a twist where when you think the villain has been defeated, something happens and they figure out a way to reappear or they take a new form, etc. After all, it's been more than 10 years and we still have no idea who or what the Red Force is in EXO's storyline.

To understand how all of SM's groups are connected, you need to keep in mind that it all began with EXO's debut in 2012. EXO's concept is that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have been sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are believed to be caused by the Red Force.
The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda -- corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world, such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc.
Some theories even believe that Red Velvet is connected to EXO's storyline. Some think that Red Velvet, EXO's sister group, could be the Red Force, or they could at least be members of the Red Force. I think the Black Mamba maybe working with the Red Force, or it could be a separate evil being who also wants to find the Tree of Life and prevent peace from being restored in the Universe. Some fans are now even thinking maybe RV member Seulgi is the Black Mamba, as could possibly be shown in RV's recent MV. This would only further the theory that Red Velvet is connected to the Red Force. But no matter what, I am sure RV is definitely part of the SM Culture Universe.
And as you may know, SuperM is the Kpop industry's very first supergroup, which debuted in October 2019. Their concept and storyline is centered around the fact that they are Avenger-like superheros, so SuperM is the group that pretty much connects everything together. As part of EXO's story, Baekhyun and Kai have recruited members from SM Entertainment's other male Kpop groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT and Ten and Lucas from WayV -- and formed SuperM, to help them battle the Red Force.
It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup.
Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight.
Theories have also speculated that NCT's/WayV's dream concept and storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state, which could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories.
Now, to explain how aespa is connected to the story. aespa debuted in November 2020, and so far they have 4 MVs that are connected to their storyline. (You also should check out the official lyric video for "Illusion." The story in "Illusion's" lyrics help to explain the Black Mamba hacker's motivations and storyline. And the story in their new all English "Life's Too Short" MV helps to connect the story from their ep. 2 drama video.)
I am also starting to wonder if maybe aespa has something to do with the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline, because, in aespa's "Next Level" MV, we see aespa and their avatars sitting around what looks like the Mother Tree from the Hollywood movie "Avatar," so I wonder if maybe aespa were made the guardians of the Tree of Life, tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree. Therefore, maybe the Tree of Life is what the Black Mamba is after.
As we are told in the intro of EXO's debut "Mama" MV, the Tree of Life was split in half in order to prevent the Red Force from gaining control of the heart of the Tree of Life. However, the current state of everything on Earth has caused the heart of the Tree of Life to go cold, so now EXO needs to reunite the two halves of the tree in order to restore peace. So, I think part of EXO's mission is they are on a quest to find aespa in order to reveal where the tree was hidden.
aespa was first introduced to the world in a teaser at the end of SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV in 2020 -- about a month or so before aespa's debut. In the last scene of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, we see Taemin with an LG phone and on the phone screen there is a symbol that appears. At the time, when that MV was released, we had no idea what that meant. However, soon after that, we discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is the logo/symbol for aespa. So, on top of being a teaser for aespa's debut, I think by making aespa a part of SuperM's MV, this was SM's way of establishing aespa's connection to SuperM's/EXO's storyline.
Will aespa eventually join forces with EXO to defeat evil or will the Black Mamba gain control and cause aespa to team up with (Red Velvet?) and become members of the Red Force? We will just have to wait to see how SM connects the dots and draws the storylines together. But I have a feeling that, eventually, aespa's story will connect to SuperM's story, and, along the way, also EXO, NCT and Red Velvet's storyline, and maybe Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. (Even though SHINee is part of the second generation in Kpop, the members are the same age as third generation group members, so they sort of bridge that gap between second and third generation.)
aespa's story is just another one of SM's epic concepts and mysteries that we will have to wait and see where it takes us.
And although most of SM's older groups' concepts and MVs may have never been originally designed to have any type of connection to anything to do with anything, that doesn't necessarily mean that over the years as EXO's story has evolved or SM's Universe concept was being created, that SM didn't find "happy coincidences" within those MVs that allowed them to use them as a way to connect things together. For example, some have pointed to the fact that Ningning's butterfly in aespa's concept from 2020 could be connected to the butterfly in EXO's debut "Mama" MV from 2012, as well as the butterfly in NCT-127's recent "Favorite (Vampire)" MV from 2021, and some have made compelling arguments that it could even be connected to SHINee's butterfly in their "Ring Ding Dong" MV from 2009. Which all now could be connected to the white butterfly we see in aespa's "aespa ep. 2 'Next Level' -- SM Culture Universe" video, that helps aespa and everyone navigate through the world of Kwangya. Or the blue roses we see in Taemin's "Press Your Number" MV from 2016 may be connected to EXO's flower/blue rose concept, etc. I mean we see what looks like the pink planet from Super Junior's "House Party" MV from 2021 and a scene from Super Junior-K.R.Y.'s "When We Were Us" MV from 2020 in "aespa's ep.1 'Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video. And SM has even brought Kangta, who is a member of the very first Kpop boy group H.O.T., which debuted in 1996, into the storyline with his solo MV remake of H.O.T's song "Free to Fly," which features aespa's Winter and NCT's Sungchan as characters in the MV, and the story is set in what looks like could be Kwangya. And Max Changmin from TVXQ joins the world of Kwangya in his solo "Devil" MV when we see him on the pink planet, etc. So it's starting to look like SM may be hinting at bringing everyone into the storyline, including their older groups and artists.

This album was not a come-back, but rather a special album for EXO-L to break the long wait during the military service period. The album has more moral value than artistic value because it is considered one of the simplest EXO albums in terms of music. "Beautiful Liar" is the titletrak of Monsta x 12th mini album "Reason". They've released 12 mini album's, 3 full studioalbum's and 2 english album's as well as severell single traks - some featuring other artists like Snoop Dogg in "How we do" (OST for the Sbongebob movie) - in nearly 8 years. Monsta x debued on 14th of May 2015 from the survival show "no mercy" as an originally 7 membered group. Wonho left the group in the end of 2019 and debued as a solo artinst in 2020. Their leader Shownu is currentally in military service. Sadly they still don't get the attention they deserve... :'(

EXO and aespa are part of the same company. Both groups (as do everyone under that company) have very powerful vocalists.

glad you enjoy aespa. they have a metaverse concept hence the animation, every member has an avatar character and they have a storyline where they talk about it in their lyrics. For the season 1 of their story they're villain is the Black Mamba who hacked the metaverse, caused them to disconnect with their avatars and lowkey corrupted them. Their debut song Black Mamba was an introduction, Next Level and Savage was about the journey to fight the Black Mamba and Girls is the conclusion to the Black Mamba storyline; the building in the beginning was where the black mamba is and the green rock Winter cut by the end is like the black mamba's heart so the end scene with the woman with the crown in front of the many monitor slowly disintegrating was to show that the black mamba has been defeated.
idk if I should call it a web series but before their comebacks aespa release videos to show their universe storyline and also the terminologies they used (i.e synk dive, naevis, kwangya, etc.) it screams budget too, they're called SMCU Episodes. it's worth checking out when you have time if you enjoy this. Call Me Baby, the one you saw that thought would be a ballad, is actually a pop song produced by Teddy Riley, legend who has worked with Michael Jackson as well. Exo also has sapled SWV's "You're the One" in the song Ya Ya Ya. Anyway, whatever kind of genre you're looking for, Exo has most likely done it. Their whole discography and their side tracks are masterpieces of vocal flex and music experimentation that has even classic musicians go nuts. I hope to see more Exo on your channel as those are my only group I have ever stanned since almost 9 years ago. They have been around for almost 11 years and I have never seen anyone doing it like Exo on every level. No offence or disrespect to anyone, just a preference. With exo, rather than it being 'vocal line song', it's more it's a song where they seemed to go, okay it's a gift to fans not an official group comeback so lets just have fun, and rap-line took on many vocal parts. This song (DFTF) doesnt actually represent their music at all, it's just a fun summer surprise. When you actually hear an exo vocal line song... you're going to LOSE it!!! Because their voices are POWERFUL. And by they I specifically mean the 3 main vocals - D.O., Baekhyun and Chen. They're something else. I get what you mean about this song and appreciate the honesty, but it's mainly cuz while exo do experiment A LOT, their core music is rnb. It's not the rap so much, it's that rnb vibe thats missing. Hope you check out something from their The War album (VERY experimental) next, or some of their earlier stuff so you can get a better understanding of their sound.
