Another idea of mine: dig up all the soil around the house up to the FD. Starting a couple inches below normal hight, slope the ground away @ 2% decline towards the FD. Lay down 6 mill plastic up to the FD, all around the house & backfill over it w/ your soil. Then there should never be water in your sump.

Man, I had a bad setup like that in my last place. Several times the entire basement filled up more than ankle high. I still have PTSD from the sound of that damned pump motor going off every 43 seconds... that’s a damn fine setup you got now. People who haven’t had one wouldn’t understand how annoying they are.

Looking to get a generator as any backup battery system wouldn't last long considering how often it turns on. Good news is that we have never lost power in the 4 years my now wife has owned the home! Knock on wood. Lol

What both you and I need is an external french drain around the outside of the house. (Gravity powered by carefully sloping all the pipe to 1+% decline). Vid:

Ya I remember when they developed that area... there was a huge lawsuit against the developer cause they fudged some reports that made it look like the houses were ok to build with out the need for sump pumps or other land drainage... the developer lost and had to retro fit all the houses with pumps.
That is going to be a mother fucker to replace those pumps

Dual 3/4 HP pumps ?! A 1/2 HP sump would even be considered a large sump, more homes do fine with 1/3HP pump. You really do have a water problem. You did not mention which brand of sump pumps you got. Never heard of the Metronator II duplex controller. Also what about battery backup? Anyone looking for a high end duplex sump system - check on the Ion technologies systems.
