I see you know this. Maybe you can give me a hint because I'm about to go crazy. All Aqara devices are connected to the Aqara HUB gateway, which I integrated with Home Assistant through the integration of "HomeKit Devices". Of course, all except the Aqara T1 LED strip. I can't see her at all. What could be the reason?
Excuse me, I bought Aqara T1 extension kit(1 m) and have them installed so I have total 3 m. But whenever I pick any of R or G or B mixed, the 1 m part doesn’t work but only white colors work. Have you any get in trouble like this? Regards.
Hey! Hope you can help! I have my T1 light strip connected to ZHA, but I cannot figure out how to get the strip to recognize the additional extension I have added. Any ideas?
For people that control all of there devices in home assistant (which is by far the majority of people i would think), then groups would be much simpler then using a template. Don't get me wrong templates are great and IMO should be learned by anyone wanting to do more complex automations, but in this case (for the most part anyway) not really needed.
@@SmartHomeMakers Can't remember the last time i used the power button (light switch). You could instead use a smart button to again control the group. If i wanted to control just one of the lights in the group then yes i could use the physical button. But the idea of home automation is in the name, automation is the key here. If done right no physical controls need to be touched.
@@SmartHomeMakers never said that. I said if done right. i'm hardly one that does everything right all the time 😀 Thats why i have smart buttons (DIY version) where changes are the most needed.
Do you know why this approach is better than using groups ?
How did you add the T1 to your list of devices on Home Assistant? I have an Android. I can't find an Aqara intetgration under Home Assistant.

Agree if you stay within home assistant ecosystem that is true, however we still might use physical buttons (lights switches)

@@HATipsByLarry it is the ultimate dream, but I would kindly disagree on the point that butting pressing should be avoided at all:)

Why not just group the lights and control the group? Surely that’s easier???
It is! But if it is controlled out of home assistant then this would not work
For example Philips hue button or app or home kit
6ft of lights for $50, that seems a bit pricey.
Indeed prices going way up !
