    These videos are so much better than the gear junkie blah blah black stuff. Shows a guy in action, shows the photos, some technique, lots of inspiration. Well, done.

    Seems like a simple yet very effective way to get some great photos but I suspect it's more tricky in practice. Thanks for showing us the way it should be done.

    It almost makes you jealous. more people come to one intersection than in my city in an entire week. 😂 nice video, Lukasz the crouching tiger.

    Very much enjoyed the video. I like the high contrast style.
    Beside of that, I’m happy that someone is actually using the Z6 / Z6 II in the field. Sometimes I have the feeling that, since Nikon’s autofocus system is only 90% of Canon and Sony right now, that everybody is switching gear.
    I was only torn between Fuji XPro3 and Nikon Z6 II the last couple of weeks, but pulled the trigger on the Nikon yesterday. Your review video was also very helpful in this regard. Thank you

      Thanks! I've heard people complain about Sony and Canon. Honestly, I bet there is really not a significant difference in general use. It's like Coke vs. Pepsi. Sure, you will differences in rigorous test, but when you are just out shooting (especially street) good technique is more important.

    What I noticed watching tons of your videos, is that the the people in Tokyo's streets seem as they couldn't care less about your presence Lukasz. There is a tall westerner kneeling in the intersection and everybody passing by just doesn't care at all - no weird looks or confusion - nothing. That would NEVER happen in the West. I think that is a huge benefit of doing street in Japan. It seems as if it really is "the cloak of invisibility" you mentioned before. Wish I could be that stealthy in Europe! Haha..

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore  3 роки тому

      I think there is some truth to that. But I find it also has to do with just... doing it and not worrying about what people think. If you look like you belong there, people care less. But I do admit, people are more used to seeing bozos like me taking pictures all over town so they care even less, haha. :)

    Thanks for all this information gold. Noticed, I was making a huge mistake in general with a manual lens by setting the f stops on the lens to 2.8-5.6 etc while also using the dial. Your explanation of using f22 on lens and using the dial to set to f11 etc set off a light bulb moment lol I am slowly getting better. :)

Idk if I’ve seen shots from there at night , now it’s making me wonder how the mirrors look like at night 🤔

    Why use an old tech lens on a $2000 body?

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore  3 роки тому

      Eh? It's not a cheap old-tech lens. This is a modern lens with CPU and metering and modern glass (produced around 2010). It costs around 500 bucks, so not expensive but not exactly cheap either. But more than that, what's wrong with using a specialty lens (old or new)? It's not like old lenses aren't sharp or don't produce great images. This particular 40mm has wonderful character, extreme sharpness, and it's a joy to use in manual focus, which has some advantages of autofocus, especially in street photography.
