- Delta Airlines flight DL2985 from Boston Logan Airport (BOS) arriving at New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Stunning views of the Manhattan + New York City skyline on approach. Flown on a Delta Airbus A220 aircraft - also known as the Bombardier CSeries.
At 3:06 you can clearly see my apartment building! We constantly hear the A-220s’ whale screams as they lower the landing gear and throttle up over Prospect Park (the Green, as the pilots call it.)

This is the Runway 4 direct approach. The Expressway approach is even more exciting actually.
@@afcgeo882 I love the Runway 31 approach that goes right up the LIE, past the World's Fair site and City Field and then has the banking left turn right into the landing.
Gracias to remind me NY !! I visit NY 2 times in 2016... June and Sept. 13 days in Manhatan.. great experience.... as a Tijuanan it's one's in a life time....I had a great time... love it!!!

We have done this so many times. We hope to get back to NYC one last time before we're too old! This is a magnificent video........love the sensation of being there. Love landing at LGA. Landing at JFK is like landing on Mars.

Wow....great video....best approach to LaGuardia that I've ever seen.
That approach wasn't used often, I lived over that approach and it could be very noisy, for some reason I remember that only on Sundays that approach was used but it was 45 years ago when I lived there.
this is better than the tour boats around Manhattan. I was on a flight from FRA-EWR arriving just as the sun was setting. Similar path down the west side of Manhattan, only further away. It was beautiful. I told the Europeans next to me that it doesn't get any better than this, you may as well turn around and go home

it took me a second to recognize central park as the videos first starts, and then manhatten , and now i'm homesick ; ) great job with the video, i love it and so fortunate to land on runway 4 , most of the videos i have seen it's usually 31 or 22

For those who don't know, LaGuardia is much closer to Manhattan than JFK.

this is a very rare approach. i believe the more common one is going upwards of manhattan island and turning.
No… this is the typical approach that’s flown most days.
It depends on two things. 1...Where are you coming from.....in this case Boston so not unusual....Ive done it a number of times on the shuttle from Boston. 2.....Which direction is the wind.....which determines the runway and direction you will land on it and therefore which route you will fly to approach the runway. Of the three major NYC airports LGA by far gives you the best views of the city.
It looks like the pilot stallled out when coming into the flare during landing, judging by the loud thud
I do not know much about using electronics. What is the policy on the use of cameras on Aircraft ?
