In this video, I walk you through my 7-step logo design process on a real case study-the logo I designed for one of my clients.
Logo Design Process

4:56 - #2 Research-Learn about the industry & competitors.
6:23 - #3 Brainstorm-Develop ideas & decide on art direction.
9:13 - #4 Sketch-Create logo concepts based on strategy.
11:07 - #5 Design-Select best logos & execute them digitally.
13:07 - #6 Present-Show logos concepts & get client's approval.
15:27 -#7 Deliver-Export logo files & create a style guide.
By the end of this video, you’ll get an overview of how to design logos like a pro.
If you follow my strategic process, then you’ll be much more efficient and effective when designing logos, than if you just jumped into sketching & design right away.

Amazing video! It was so funny at the end when you read the feedback of your client but you just finished it with blablabla.
Yeah, haha - I just didnt want to brag about it too much, but needed to make a point.
Thanks alot for sharing this Arek, so useful for my future branding works. I have a question though : How much time does it take you for a brand identity project like this one, from strategy, mood boards, design right to the presentation ? Real question
Usually it takes about a month depending on the scope of work of course, number of revisions, and how responsive the client is. In general, 1st week we do the strategy, 2nd and 3rd week we design logos and prepare a presentation, and finally in the 4th week we finalize the logo and deliver files.
@@ebaqdesign That was keen✨. Thanks for your quick response and for sharing such valuable content. Cheer up Arek💪🏾
@@walterchris2671 Thanks a lot!
Hey I have a brand named devissha... Could we connect... I'm from India... It's a little urgent..
please, setting subtitle automatic english for video
I keep having mixed feelings about sketchign these days. Im so much faster on a computer, i do like the sketching part, but feel it takes to long. Though problem with digital concepting is that i tend to go to fast into the details. Im trying a new process where i start only in black and white, this makes me focus more and better on the shapes, forms and contours.
Hey Rombout I think you answered your question perfectly :) I have worked with some of the top branding agencies and they all sketch-Why? Because it's all about the idea and as you said "working on computer is so much faster"-but the problem is that you often find yourself tweaking small details and therefore wasting time, instead of developing a good idea on paper first and then you can execute that in many different ways on computer.
@@ebaqdesign Yeah i think i should fall back and try i more often. Lots of times i still doodle a bit, but i think i should expand it more again.
@@ebaqdesign Though i have had weird responses from some clients. Sometimes there gave actions like "what are these childish scribbles" hahaha seemed they did not understand concepting fase
@@RomboutVersluijs You shouldn’t show the these rough sketches in the first place. Just present them with 3 strong logo concepts and keep your sketches behind the curtains.
What is the relation to those 3 moodboards, not sure i udnerstand those 3 words and how they link back to your brief?
For example: the first mood board is called "Credible" (university-like crest) and it embodies the keywords that came out of the strategy like: credible, prestigious, knowledgable etc. Same with the other 2 mood boards - I simply look at the strategy and the keywords and then I group them into 3 themes to find some inspiration / put together mooodboards.
@@ebaqdesign ah i see, so you make some moodboards per category/word they would like to see their company in. Thats a nice idea! Though on the otherhand, it does have perhaps to much visual aspects. I think some clients would start to look at the style or illustrations to much and link those to the style or mood
dosnt photoshop work the designing ?
Photoshop can be used only for mockups (presentation) not the actuall logo design - that must be in vector file in Illustrator.
