I am quite certain you are correct. I got word a couple of days ago that the folks in the animation building behind the scenes were told their offices were being moved. This area absolutely makes the most sense. I love the Muppets and hope that attraction stays around for awhile 😊
Nice.... like you said, I hope they don't get rid of muppets.... it is a classic.... remember the live action that they used to have ..... was upset when they got rid of that, but the 3d film is great too..... they have space like you said..... miss the animation studio... used to spend a lot of time in there watching the artists.... thanks for sharing.... take care..... have a great day.... thanks.....👍👍👍👍
I tend to agree with you Micah about the location of the Monsters Inc land. At least I hope we are correct. My first time to Disney/MGM Studios was in 1990. I saw everything in its original form. I remember taking the backlot tour and riding between the buildings and on one side was the wardrobe department and on the other side was the construction department. I remember seeing the old props that was used in movies just before you went into Catastrophe Canyon. Then there was also the walking tour of the backlot tour. I miss all of that stuff. I also miss seeing Mulch, Sweat, and Shears playing on New York street at various times and location spots. As much as I like change, I also enjoy things to stay the same, just add to and not take away.
Hi Micah Great content as always 👍 Was just over in Florida with family from uk Thought I had saw you in launch bay when we were in queue to meet Chewie I should have jumped out of queue to say hi 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks for sharing Micah! I do hope you are correct and that is where Monsters INC. coaster will go, it does make sense and will effectively become a Pixar area. As much as I like Hollywood Studios, it is a park that is very ‘bitty’ - Star Wars being prime example, Launch Bay in one section, Star Tours in another and then Galaxy’s Edge. I have said that I always wanted them to move Star Tours to Galaxy’s Edge (or at least to the boarder of the area) So you could have an Indiana Jones Dark Ride in its existing location to tie in with the Stunt Spectacular and then onto Muppets Courtyard.
There is Big open Grass area - behind the show building of Lighting Mcgreen ( they can put Monster INC. Land area / Keep the happy of Hollywood Studios ) & shutdown the lighting mcgreen show & put something else in that show building
I really hope they do not destroy the Muppets courtyard. The only way they could put it where Muppets is would also to take Mama Melrose, pizza rizzo, and the never open gift shop. Plus a lot more spaces.
I hate Launch Bay so much! It honestly makes me depressed with how amazing it used to be. There was nothing like seeing future cartoons and movies being made (like i had an inside scoop). I would buy a "Disney Animation" hand drawn animation cel everytime i visited. I'd be sad at seeing the building demolished but at the same time extremely happy to see something better going in that space than what is currently there.
Now that I see it, the Star Wars launch Bay Area does fit the Monster Inc ascetic and it would be better if they just use that for Monsters and move the Star Wars stuff to Galaxy's edge. If only we can get Avengers Campus to Disney world, I would love to have Marvel in Disney world. Maybe it will happen someday, once Disney figures something out with Universal, though I wonder where'd they put it. I'm betting either Epcot because of Guardians or Hollywood studios. Though I'd rather have Wakanda or Zootopia in Animal Kingdom than Encanto, it fits in the animal theme and ascetics better. I wish it would happen, at least there's Avengers Campus in Disneyland and Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot.

I loved the fact you could walk around and see the animators work. I would be there 3 times in a week. I miss that side of disney.
Congrats on 40,000! We love your videos! Thank you!
Thank you!!
To site the new Monsters Inc ride where Star Wars launch bay is makes perfect sense. Bring it on!

I remember seeing the animators working on Emperor's new groove

I hope you're right, my guy. If the muppets go, I'll be upset. Animation courtyard is the better choice here, in my opinion. Again, congrats on 40k!
i never got to see the magic of disney animation and backstage studio tour
The antici...pation is a killer. 😅😂 but hoping they don't back out of actually making it a reality. Great thoughts on a realistic location ❤
Hi Micah

Next time! But “Hello!” For now

I think launch bay may be less construction wall area of inconveniences for guest. Like how they blocked off Galaxy Edge.
RIP Mickey Mouse wearing a Michael Eisner watch. I miss the animation tour.
Yes!
I really hope they do not destroy the Muppets courtyard.

Putting Monster's, Inc in the Animation Courtyard since you have Toy Story Land right there.

It is sad that Aerosmith are retiring and have canceled their tours. Steven is not able to recover from his vocal injury.
I wish it was going into the SW Launch Bay area but, sadly Muppets (and possibly Star Tours) is on the chopping block. 😢
The backlot tour was awesome. Disney destroys everything great for subpar replacements.
