I literally can’t quit watching this -- such an incredible moment
Hell yes man!! Absolutely moment of a life time!!
Good shit brother that was awesome
Jelly you killed it my dude!!! 615 loves you baby💪💪
I cried real tears for you for this moment! 🥲 That was Legendary man! 🤘🏼I’m a huge fan of you and bunnies! 🖤 We will be seeing you in Cleveland!!
There is heart ache and special good memories in behind this song. My oldest daughter daddy committed suicide 27yrs ago and the original one was played at his funeral and when she hears it she smiles and cries cause that her daddies song. Today my son sings the new one to his daughter and nephew which are only a few weeks apart and has done it for lil over 2yrs now and when my grandson hears it he stops everything he's doing and comes running and sings every single word to it and he's only 2 . I love this and there's not NOBODY BETTER THAN Jelly Roll TO PART OF THAT LEGACY OF SIMPLE MAN..
Let’s give Shinedown a high 5 for giving jelly roll a chance. Just shows the integrity of this band ❤
Yes. SD def needs a high 5 for this. SD def has so much integrity!
Jelly Rolls utter joy at being asked to do this. Made me so happy!!
I mean.........you don't DARE cover this song unless you got the chops. You, my friends, got the chops!!! Super dope! Loved it!!!❤️🎶🤟
What we just witnessed is a humble man's dream come true 🤯thank you Shinedown!! And congrats jelly!! Love ya brother
It sounded really good wish I was in the crowd .

Um what? lol
I assume by the way this is worded you don't know who Jelly Roll is?
Hell yeah he deserves it for sure.
Bro it’s cool as hell!!! This is what music needs!! Let’s go
I want to hear this in a studio with jelly roll and shinedown so fucking bad!!!!
Let’s make it happen!!! G
I hope some day we can hear this in studio version
Lenard Skynard with OG Ronnie Vanzant makes them all sound like rookies trying to copy the best , long live Ronnie and and his band Lynard Skynard true legends
YES!! Studio version!! 🤟🤘
Hell yeah
I cried missing my Son.. I know he is looking down from heaven on his Daddy, I love you and miss you so much Critter!🫸🫀🫷
I'm a Skynard fan from the 70s, this is beautiful. Great sounds and the crowd singing is what concerts are all about. No fighting, nothing but love and fun..💜✌️
Awesome moment. Just the excitement on his face when you guys told him he could be apart of it was perfect.
Brilliant
That was fucking epic...could feel the energy through the damn screen
Well said 👍🏻
Agreed
It was absolutely incredible live. So thankful to have been able to see this
You should have been there it was intense.
I was there front row, best performance ever loved every moment and can't wait to do it again
I’m crazy about Jelly’s music and his human kindness.
I was at BRRF and Shinedown was phenomenal, but when they brought Jelly Roll out, it was such an amazing moment to see in person
It was such an amazing way to wrap up an overall amazing week despite logistics ❤
There’s something incredible about hearing a massive crowd at a Shinedown concert singing Simple Man. It’s enough to send chills through your whole body……
Literally just got that, I can only imagine it live!
Dude, being a part of it, with thousands of people's voices vibrating in your ears.... It's as close to heaven as I'll ever get.
Even better when they come out in the crowd and get to be right in front of them!
Absolutely
I’ve managed to hear it twice
When jellyroll came out. Instant goosebumps this mans voice is a god sent. His voice is amazing.
Me tooo!!!
Luv from Louisiana!!👄👄👄
Dude them singing together is perfect! Huge fan of jelly and a huge fan of shinedown I almost shit when I saw this.
Exactly. These are two of my favorite singers and I am just blown away right now that I found a video with both of them in it singing one of my all-time favorite songs
@@calebbradbury7521 ikr,i couldn't believe I found it either!!!!
Goosebumps in Michigan! ✌
Seeing the crowd light up for Jelly is awesome. I’ve been a fan since “Welcome to the trap house” like a decade ago when nobody had heard of him, & to see what’s he’s doing now is really amazing.
I also have been a fan from the start of his mixtape days it’s been an amazing ride his music has touched and helped so many people I’m stoked to see him getting his shine
Do you recall his first freestyle he was in a litteral trap and just went off the handle for 10 minutes without pause its the realist shit ever a dude in the background litteraly turns around to do some coke midsong from that to here means you are doing it right in my eyes ive never seen another dig thrpugh more shit just to take care of thier daughter
Tis why my favorite song is "calls me dad"
I am a huge fan too. Have been listening to him everyday, since the first time I heard him. "Welcome to the Trap House", is one of my many favorites. He has a special rare talent and I love to "promote" him by sharing his story on social media and telling everyone about his AMAZING talent and appreciation for his fans. Witnessing his growth and success has been, nothing short of deserving to him and lucky for us.
Hell yeah I mean who could ever forget tha damn 10 min freestyle lmao that shit hit hard then and still does today I need to go watch it again 🤷♂️😁
This was my sons favorite song from birth , He committed suicide April of 2017 at the age of 16. This is and always will be his song.
Im sorry..i love you
Your son had great taste, its a beautiful song, i hope listening to it helps❤
I was there for this moment. Shinedown was the headliner for a reason. They are one of if not the best live band in rock right now. If you've never seen them live make it a must while they are still in their prime. You will not be disappointed. Its never goodbye, just til next time!! SD
Looking forward to their concert on Friday
@@erocky05 Have you ever seen them before? Where are they playing?
I wish! That's amazing!
Yes they really are. Have seen them 3 times and every time they were on point.
Seen them twice and they murdered both shows both times
He deserved this... this was heart warming ❤ and the way the crowed went along.
The Lynyrd Skynyrd version is the first song my late husband danced with me to and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Today after hearing of the passing of Gary Rossington it has a different kind of sadness!! RIP to my husband and Gary. Maybe they’re playing guitars together in Paradise since my husband could play and sing every Skynyrd song ever produced!!
🥹
I'm sorry for your loss. I love Gary to 💖
Jelly Roll is so humble, I can't even imagine what it's like to go from jail to then performing for a loving crowd like this
I remember a interview of Jelly saying he would never do a cover of this song because noone could ever do it as good as Shinedown. As a fellow Tennessean Jellyroll you did us proud bubba. I absolutely love it
I'm not from Tennessee but I definitely second this!!!!!!! And I love just how excited and giddy he was in the beginning too!!!!
That has to be like a dream come true for him and he sang it just as well as Brent Smith did. That’s one hell of a collaboration.
Lynyrd Skynyrd still way better
That’s a disrespectful and ignorant statement saying nobody does it better than Shinedown that’s him just kissing their az because they’re still around hoping they can work together. NOBODY does Simple Man better than Lynard Syknard. Honestly I thought this video was mediocre at best. And that’s being generous
@@liferollson3589 Yeah, disrespectful, like not spelling Lynyrd Skynyrd right.
Dude, he was talking about covers of the song. And it is true, no one has done a cover of Simple Man better than Brent Smith
I always loved Shinedowns version and now you add Jelly Roll!!!! Priceless!!! The hair stood up on me. Great job to everyone involved!
Can we get a studio version of this. When Shinedown released the cover years ago it quickly became one of my favorites of all time. Now with Jelly Roll I would definitely love to see an actual studio version of this
@Josh Carter...I concur!
The studio cover was one of the worst versions I've ever heard. The best version of this song is the live version recorded at a house party. That's the best version.
I concur as well ...them and jelly in studio...wow would kill it .
I'd love to see them do a sit downn , acoustic studio version together ❤️
@@GingerNinja1 YESSSSSS
I love how his daughter is right by his side during rehearsal. Proud of you Jelly Roll. What an honor brother. God has truly blessed you man!! What a great thing for Shinedown to do.
Amazing!!!
Thanks Shinedown for letting Jelly Roll sing with you on this. He is such a great dude. To all of you Shinedown fans if yall have never heard any of Jelly Rolls songs go check out Save Me...This man can sing!! He often raps but when he sings he truly shines imo. Go check out Save Me you wont regret it. So happy for you Jelly. Keep grinding bro.
And Sunday Morning
I agree man calls me dad save me fire an rain theres more but those are the best imo
Newer one called son of a sinner, music people should appreciate how he can have the country feel rap feel and the rock vibe, he's got plenty of each!
I didn't know who Jelly Roll "Save Me" was until a couple months ago. I was immediately in Love with the lyrics & his voice!! He & Shinedown did this song great justice, too Lynard Skynard!! 👏 ✌❤
Son of a siner is another good song by jelly roll
I love Jelly Roll, seeing him singing with Shinedown makes my heart happy! Yes I may have cried a little.
I cryed alot its my 5th time listening im still crying
Sitting at work and I swear, it's just something in my eye (allergies maybe)🥲. 😁
Beautiful, as I sit here with tears of pain, regret, and still the most overwhelming love and emotion, I miss my momma, this was our jam, cleaning house on Saturday mornings, dancing and singing our hearts out, Thank you #Jellyroll #shinedown for the out pouring of emotion, really needed that💙💙💙💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💯💯💯
Great homage to one of the single greatest songs ever written by a band thats greatness was cut way to short by tragedy...the world lost the epitome of American music that night ...they influenced so many people and artists on so many levels and will always be my favorite band .
Every one of their songs great
His reaction is so pure. ❤
Mandi...have we met before?
I was there that night, after 4 brutal days, this song brought me to tears. My mom always reminds me about this song when times get tough for me and I knew I wasn't getting away from this song without shedding tears... I'm in tears again watching this.
Love ya brother. Hang in there
Damn I've got chills. Loved Shinedown for ages.... My daughter got me into Jelly Roll last year .... And this.... Hell yeah.
This song brings tears to my eyes. Such a powerful beautiful song.
Its a great day when your two favorite artists come together to sing your favorite song.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💖
I agree!
Wow, then you should try my favorite artist. His name is Ronnie Van Zant, and after you listen to him you’ll probably never listen to either of these tools again. You’re welcome!
Hell yes mine too

Man this is one of the few covers that I love you can tell heart and care when into it
I'm very happy to have stumbled on this man's music. He has been living in my brain and has been telling our story
I absolutely agree with you! Telling his and ours
I couldn’t agree more!
Just recently have discovered him, and
I’m 57, & I love all REAL music, his music is SO real! I’m praying I’ll be able to get tickets, and to see him in Eastern Ky my home. He’s such a Blessing to music!
We are all human,an it takes a courageous one to tell their story in truth and from the soul. Yes, he tells his, and ours!
If you want to hear his life, just start from the beginning,to see him cry out to God,in his own addiction, and as you follow his music in time
You can see,and feel his testimony! God Bless you my Beloved Brother and your family, In Jesus mighty and matchless name,Amen,Amen ♥️🙏🏽
JellyRoll really did a good job singing that song with you guys like he's been there the whole time. You guys are blessed with not only your love, passion and drive for music but are truly gifted with the voice and talent to go and chase your dreams and make them real. You, your band members, JellyRoll and his band will be in my nightly prayers.
Sincerely

I've known and loved this song my whole life but 17 years ago when I became a mother to a son I could truly say I gained a new appreciation for it. It never fails to bring tears to my eyes. To hear it done this way, with so much passion and love from the performers and audience, makes my heart happy.
As a father, Yes. I now have 9 n 10 yr old boys, n a 5yr old daughter. My peace is their love, their peace is my love.
WOW!!! Chills throughout my body. He was so excited out there! Love Jelly Roll
Legendary!!! 😮 I just watched a timeless moment.... Shinedown and Jellyroll.. I can dig it
The excitement in Jelly damn near made me shed a tear! Go get em bubba!!
Can't get enough of Shinedown and Simple Man is a great cover they did together
By the by, love how Eric and Barry just be chillin on stage
i love how enthusiastic Jelly is, he s always so happy to perform with someone like he isn't great as well ❤
I am old school. I saw the REAL Lynyrd Skynyrd MANY times. I am very protective of their work. Y'all did pretty good. Keep their memory alive. My late beloved brother saw Skynyrd's last concert in Greenville, S.C.. Y'all made me cry over this cover. I wish you the best young man.
Shinedown is just simply an incredible band, and what a voice.
This was an amazing performance live. I was lucky and was about 8 rows back from the stage. Shinedown always puts on an amazing show. Jellyroll was an awesome addition to an already amazing show.
Just when I thought I couldn't love this song anymore, here I am loving it even more 🤘💞

This gave me goosebumps. Shine down was just so welcoming and Jelly Roll was just soooooo happy.
“…..make sure you do it for your daughters, too.”
Choked me up. In a good way. 💖
I’m 55 years old and I’ve lived my whole life about 8 miles from where Skynyrd’s plane crashed it was a huge deal here bc I’ve never met anyone around here that didn’t think Lynyrd Skynyrd was one of and most of us the greatest rock band that ever was, that being said this has been my favorite song and most relatable to my life of any song ever with my number two being Kid Rock “ Only God knows why” both of which my family knows to play at my funeral, and tho of course nothing can ever top Skynyrd’s version just seeing the respect and the love that Shinedown and Jelly gave in this rendition and the way the crowd responded I don’t really have a way of describing wat my heart felt but as I was already a Shinedown fan and admittedly a Jelly Roll fanatic this video just put way more love and respect in my heart for all these guys, BRAVO TIMES INFINITY GENTLEMEN BRAVO!!!! If the views on this video damn near double this week just know I was getting my listen on bout fittyleven times a day, and if you ain’t familiar wif wat fittyleven is it’s a damn lot ya heard ✌🏻
Tell me why I teared up when Jelly started singing? I love this!

Thank you 😎
You guys didn’t have to do that but you did . This is huge that was awesome to watch . My dude Jelly rock with you guys . You guys are super awesome for this .
Whole body gets goosebumps every time I hear this song but seeing and hearing Jelly on it just amplified them to where I felt like I was turning super sayin! Just knowing where Jelly came from to where he is now and the person he is at this point in his life I don't think I relate to a person more then him! From the prison background to turning our life's around having daughters that need us and even though I'm not a famous musical artist that's where my love for Jelly comes from because I get to live vicariously through him and seeing all his accomplishments just feels like a win for me too and other people out there who feel the same way! I do sing and feel like I am good and have a unique voice but I find it hard being creative because of all the xanax and benadryl and pain pills I ate but I honestly don't ever feel regret or that I wish I could of chased that life for myself because then I probably wouldn't have all the things in my life that make me so happy today! I'm rambling at this point though but i dunno if I'm making sense about the connection I feel with a person I never met and who doesn't even know I exist but when I see things like this I just get filled with pride for some reason! And outside of how much I relate to Jelly the dude is just a genuinely good freaking guy and deserves all the happiness in the world so either way I'm rocking with Jelly Roll the long way and will do whatever I can to show my support so that he can go out there and do things like this for all us average people who a lot of people looked down on and thought they were better then us and never gave people like us a chance to do anything great with our lives. Well one of us did do it and even though he's a famous artist he would still never treat anyone with disrespect or negativity even if they did treat him that way. Jelly is the best example of if you want to get back at people who treated you like shit you do it by living your best life and not letting anything from your past hold you back or stop you from being happy and an overall good person. Ok I'm gonna stop now but I honestly could write a whole book on Jelly and his effect on his fans and what an inspiration he is so I hope one day in the future he'll come back across this post and see how much of an impact he's made on someone he doesn't know and has never met and I hope it makes him proud I also hope other average people might see it too and realize the power of having a genuine heart and humility and that it's not about looks or money or shoot really you dont even need to have a whole lot of talent I guess in terms of learning to read music and actually taking singing lessons and all that but if you honestly just want to help other people and try to help them see the world with a different perspective and you don't have some agenda other then to just start out by helping people while at the same time not letting yourself get taken advantage of cause it is a sea full of sharks out there but I really do believe people, genuine people can tell when someone else is just out here trying to do good and bring some positivity and some real life experiences to others then that's when your life will really start to change and then after you've proven that you can handle that level of fame while still remaining humble and true to yourself that's when you will really have the life that you want and helping others is literally the gift that keeps on giving! Damn I just keep rambling! Ok I'm done all the best to Everyone and Shinedown and Jelly Roll thank yall for that experience I'm excited for all yalls future and to be able to witness it so I thank yall for that and wish yall the best and continued success! Peace!!!
I loved reading this! EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE! thank you for being so raw👏
